The bed was comfortable. The a/c just blew to the closet. The parking was awful, came back after dinner and cars, trucks were everywhere and anywhere they could sqeeze in. I had a paid room but no where to park. I would recommend assigned oarking for room!

The price is right. A very affordable hotel in Ruidoso for the start of summer. There has been remodeling especially in the bathroom but they need to add a shower caddy, My room was a little tight by the bed and the walls and the bathroom. Anyone a bit larger would have problems walking around the bed. With the price point will be returning for another show at the Spencer Theatre in late July. On Saturday Budget Lodge looked like they were packed to capacity as I had a hard time finding parking Saturday night after my show.

Nothing was working. Everything was marked out of order. Including the ice machine. We were dealing with it and then received a very abrupt rude phone call from the manager accusing my brother smoking in the room when he does not smoke.. I advised him he does not smoke and he said oh I apologize I believe you.??

The place is nice n clean. The only thing I didn't like was, that they didn't clean our room. We left early and expected to come back to a clean room, but it was still the way we left it, dirty. Another thing, was there was no swimming pool. Breakfast was ok, eggs just needed to be cooked a little more. Otherwise it's a good place to stay.

A friendly greeting, a clean room with a fridge and microwave, snug but comfortable. There is a window AC unit I did not need to turn on. Not much can be done about the thin walls; you definitely hear the neighbors' conversation. There are two entrances to the lodge from Sudderth, both of them tricky to navigate from the busy main road. Even so, would certainly stay here again.

It is an older property, recently remodeled. Reminded me of travels with my folks to the area in the 60's. It was clean and the water was hot for my shower. I have stayed at the 2 'Resorts' in the area on previous trips, not sure how much I benefitted from their services. I will use this place on future trips. Please to see they accept dogs. I had to check out a day early and its was easily done. My only issue was breakfast. It was starches, mostly wheat: cereals, waffles and breads, it was ok.

I have been going to Ruidoso for many years and was nervous to stay here at first. I was totally wrong rooms were super clean, smelled good, the rooms look updated, fridge, microwave. Comfortable bed, clean sheets and front office the lady was super nice. For the price I would stay here again.

Room Absolutely Had the stench of mold the cabinate it the restroom is absolutely rotted to the point its crooked, floor is dirty beds are dirty couldnt sleep, with stench, had to buy candle and fabreeze and still wasnt helping never ever will i return

Reviews and property signage indicated rooms had been renovated. I did not find that to be the case at all in the room I occupied. Carpet was dated and stained in a couple places. Room smelled musty. Had to get a room deodorizer from staff. Bathroom had shower tile from the 70's. Bathroom needed some paint as door jambs and lighting switches all were apparently greased stained. AC unit was old and continuously cycled on and off all night. Refrigerator and microwave did look new. It was a last-minute choice, and you get what you pay for in those instances. Because of limited availability in the town the price was increased substantially from the normal rack rate from what I saw online. Owner was nice in the minimal contact I had with him. Would be hard pressed to recommend this property.

House keeping never came around to replenish toiletries or make the beds, had to go to the frint office to ask for more. The breakfast in the mornings was horrible, a huge bowl of hard boiled eggs hardly any muffins coffee cup was extremely small. Who knows how ling the hard biloed eggs have even been there.

The walls here are paper-thin; we could hear EVERYTHING in the rooms next to us. It was awful. We could not sleep due to all the noise and left in the middle of the night. I would not recommend. The room was clean only bright side.

Great place for last minute stay. Everyone In our party (3 rooms total) did mention people above were loud. If you’re a light sleeper, I would recommend staying on 2nd floor. Bottom floor you hear everything. Didn’t hinder our stay but may be important to others.

Newly renovated. Unfortunately renovation doesn't change the layout of the room but they've definitely done the best they could with what they had. Breakfast options could be better. I saw zero protein options, only carbs. Check in was a breeze and the guy was very nice. Bed was VERY comfortable and so were the pillows. Shower wasn't super updated but it served its purpose just fine.

It was way too noisy all over on the top on the sides didn’t feel comfortable. Didn’t get any sleep. People were very, very noisy. I guess the owners don’t care how noisy it is because they don’t have to sleep through it. We’ll never go back there again.

The lady at the front desk was super sweet! Although were given the wrong room, she fixed and even called us after check to make sure we were happy. Definitely good customer service on her part. There was no breakfast served, that falls on the owners.

Just stayed here for 5 days. I would recommend this hotel if your are on a budget. A Little noisy from the Main Street. Very nice new young owners. Close to everything that Ruidoso has to offer.

It was super convenient for a last minute booking. But the air conditioners are window units and they are set to shut off automatically and being a light sleeper and there being thin walls, we could hear the tiniest noises waking us up in the middle of the night. But overall it was clean and decent. Breakfast could've had some sausage or bacon, but it's just eggs and pancakes

The front desk agent was very nice and pleasant. The room was very clean. However, the walls are so thin I could hear both my neighbors talking the entire night until 4 am. I could hear every word they were saying, that’s how thin the walls are. It seemed to echo too. I got no sleep. The “free breakfast” was cereal and toast and waffles. They didn’t even have tea as an option. Only coffee.

This is a somewhat quirky, but pleasant place to stay in Ruidoso - better than most motels designated as “budget.” If staying when nights are quite chilly and you plan to arrive after dark, ask that your room be “preheated.” Our room was freezing when we arrived and it took awhile to bring it up to a tolerable temperature with the gas heater in the room. The gas heater is quite effective and is controlled by a thermostat. The room is carpeted; bathroom is tiled. It is clean and pleasant. The water is hot. There was no bathroom cabinet, but there was a mirrored medicine cabinet for our toiletries. No maid service unless requested. Breakfast was good and included the ubiquitous waffle maker and scrambled eggs. I thought the eggs were much better than in most (h)(m)otels. It’s a decent value for Ruidoso.

The staff was amazingly kind. Breakfast was MUCH more than expected. There was waffles and scrabbled eggs allong with the usual muffins toast cereal fruit and juice. The bed was firm. To note the room we were in the shower head was very low, I’m 5’7 and hubby is over 6. So there was some knee bending happening. But the quality service for the price paid was worth it.
