The Eldorado is right in the heart of historic Santa Fe, so it was great to walk out of the hotel and into all the shops and restaurants. It’s a beautiful hotel with nice rooms and a wonderful rooftop pool with hot tubs. Highly recommend!

Very convenient location. The hotel is well maintained and clean. The pool area is modern and well appointed. Free parking was a nice perk. Big con: they advertise several amazing restaurants on their website, but when tried to eat at the hotel at 6pm on a rainy Sunday, nothing was open. If you want to position yourself as a resort and charge a $35/day resort fee, then you should operate as such 7 days a week.

Unfortunately the pool and hot tub were out of order but they gave us a credit without us asking. Some of the common areas on each floor are a bit weathered but they seem to be updating it. Great location and staff was amazing

This facility was fabulous. The rooms were large and very clean. The on site restaurant was reasonably priced, good food and the decor was top notch. The outdoor pool and bar were wonderful. Pool was clean, outdoor servers were responsive to your needs and the bar was well equipped for all your poolside drinks. Don’t pass up a chance to stay at the ElDorado Hotel and Spa.

Great location in the heart of Santa Fe. Staff was very friendly. Price was right via Expedia vs other available options. Nice dining and bar options. Rooms are very dark - need better lighting and a rug. Hallway carpets need cleaning or replacement. Gym is a WEAK spot. Outdated equipment. 2 of 3 treadmills were out of order. No normal elipticals. Phone in our room got a strange dial tone, but connected to nothing.

While I thought it would be a great place to stay, it turned out not to be. Our room was old with a half-inch of dust under the king bed that you could see sitting on the room’s sofa. We could write our names in the dust in the furniture. Shower head was horrible with only a dribble of water. No cooked to order breakfast as advertised. Some days they didn’t even offer grab and go breakfast items. When we reported our dissatisfaction they said they’d investigate and sent someone to clean the room again. But we saw no difference. For the money we paid, it was a horrible stay. We found another hotel in the area that was a better stay. Plus a winter storm came through in early May and hotel was without power for 5-6 hours and we had to walk up 5 flights of stairs to get to our room to sleep.

The rooms still have popcorn ceilings. Stains on furniture and outdated dusty window covering. It needs a uplift. It just didnt have a comfortable feel. Staff was understanding and refunded my reservation and canceled without penalty.

Hotel was beautiful and our room clean and nice. The entrance and the lobby are luxurious. The hallway carpeting on the room floors is very old and stained and definitely takes away from the overall high-end experience. The staff are all very polite and friendly, but our daily request to replace a dead lightbulb in the bathroom never happened, over a 5 day stay...the bathroom and the room do not have a single bright light, making it difficult to get ready or select clothing in the evenings. It was also very difficult to obtain more wood for the fireplace. We loved the heated pool and spas open even in the winter. The valet parking was very convenient. Overall, would stay again, but the guest requests for basic things like working lights or more firewood need to be met.

Good location close to shops, culture and eats. Unfortunately maintenance has not kept up and this once one of the best in SF has lacked the attention needed to keep it that way. Cut to the chase, itis run down. The carpets are soiled and tattered. The ice machine on our floor was broken, not even plugged in. A fire door to a stairwell was severely damaged. It not only looked horrible, the fact that it would not close posed a personal safety hazard in violation of NFPA standards. The rooms themselves were very clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was very courteous and professional. I detest "resort fees" with serious doubts that it goes to valet and bell service as claimed. Just a gimmick that is spung on you at arrival rather than disclosed at time of booking. Just post a price that includes those services and amenities. I really do hope ownership picks up the pace and restores this lady to the grace she once exuded.

Our stay was nice. The room has been renovated. We were on the 4th floor with a balcony. The shower is a bit tricky because of there the water sprays and the door opening. It was a pretty steady 72 degrees, so if you like it cooler at night that’s not really possible. Bed and pillows are comfortable. It looks like the carpet in all the rooms is being replaced with new lvp. It’s not noisy at all. Hopefully the carpet in the halls is next? Just needs a refresh in the lobby. It’s a beautiful property and a great location.

The property looks good inside and out. However, the walls are thin. We heard everything our neighbors said. We heard everyone walking through the halls. We heard everyone's television. The hotel looks great but it was hard to sleep with all the noise we heard . We were very disappointed.

The room at this property was dated. The fixtures and furniture was worn. We paid for a balcony and it was so small it was unusable. The sower had no pressure and all you could hear all night was toilets flushing. It is in a nice area but for the price paid there are better alternatives in the area.

The hotel is centrally located in Santa Fe to the square so we could walk everywhere. It is a lovely hotel and the staff were great. The rooms were very nice and we had a great view of the mountains but the patio was extremely small. We will stay there again in the future.

Noise kept me from giving this property a perfect rating. Rooms that overlook the pool are subject to noise pollution from two sources. 1) The pool - and I get it that this is a resort and folks are going to use the pool .... but it is noisy. 2) Apparently the street next to the hotel is used by the local vehicle enthusiasts to show off how loud their vehicles are. On Friday and Saturday nights, don't plan on getting any sound sleep. I'd suggest that the hotel invest in better sound proof windows, and start making larger contributions to the Police benevolent fund.

I’m wayyy picky about hotels, so please believe me when I say: this place is SO GOOD. From start to finish, the service was a solid 10/10. Every staff member - from valet to front desk to poolside waitstaff - was incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating. I especially loved that I could text the front desk with questions or requests; it made everything feel seamless and easy. If you’re someone who likes to tip for great service (like I do), definitely come prepared with a little extra cash - the level of care here absolutely deserves it. Our room was cozy, cute, and spotlessly clean, with super comfortable beds that made it easy to relax. It was on the smaller side but I knew that was the case when I booked the room. We didn’t make it to the restaurants because we spent most of our time at the pool - it was that nice. The loungers were actually comfortable (rare find), atmosphere was relaxing, and food from the pool menu was delicious. Once again, the service out there was outstanding. This hotel just gets it right. I’m already looking forward to going back (and hopefully getting a chance to check out the spa)!

This hotel was great. The location is good. The staff were outstanding and friendly and always offering help. The minute we pulled into the parking garage there was someone there to help with parking and check in was easy and the concierge was so helpful. The room was clean, spacious and bed was very comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and offers many things. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return.

Overall, the hotel is excellent (great location, excellent valet crew, decent front desk staff) but gave it 4stars bc our room was not cleaned. When I called the front desk, they told me they were short staffed and didn’t apologize. I asked for clean towels which were provided within 30 minutes. I also texted a question but didn’t receive a response.

The entire staff (especially Maria and Art at the front desk, Vernon and staff at Valet, the Pool staff, and the Agave Restaurant staff) were totally out to help and make our stay pleasant. So much improvement over the poor staff at the Drury! Our only regret is that everything in Santa Fe closes up and they roll up the streets at 4:00 p.m. What a shock!

For context we're an Australian business who stayed at the property for two nights and we just had the worst experience. We travel a lot for business and we purposely book with hotels that have 24/7 lobby and internet access so my team can work from a space that is secure as we service other time zones. On Saturday night I was working from the lobby on email when security were terribly rude and told me to go back to my room. Virgil the security guy was so unbelievably rude and more or less gave me an ultimatum to go back to my room or leave, because the gigantic lobby could not be used by quests outside of 8am-10pm. He asked me 3 times if I was staying at the hotel and to prove it, which I did. I left the lobby and decided to work from the lobby on my floor as Virgil made me feel very unwelcome in the main lobby. He proceeded to follow me up to my floor and harass me there, where he told me to go to my room again. We told the front desk/management the next day, and they asked me to contact Virgil's boss to put in a complaint as the Lobby and shared spaces are accessible 24/7. Firstly this is one of Santa Fe's high-end hotels. Secondly that is not my job. This was not the only weird occasion where we were asked if we were actually staying in the hotel. The other WoC in our team was working from the Lobby during the day when another guest decided it was ok to ask her if she was staying in the hotel and could she prove it. We've never experienced this before!

When we checked in we were charged an additional resort fee. A section of that fee was designated for gym use, which is completely closed due to renovation. The woman took my card and didn’t even tell me what I was being charged for. I had to ask. There is construction being done on our floor. Why would not apologize for the inconvenience? The AC is the room is broken, so we were tossing and turning all night. We went for a cocktail around 9:15, the bartender was so nasty and rude and told us she was closing down. At 9:15? Lastly, the ‘resort’ area had little to no lights so it was a hazard to use the hot tub. Additionally, the hot tub water so hot it almost burnt our skin. I can’t believe I wasted $230 on this room.

Great location - just a few blocks from the Plaza, Museum of New Mexico History, the Convention Center, the Cathedral, shopping, and walkable both to a lovely trail down Alameda and maybe a 10-15 minute walk to Canyon Road. Valet parking is easy and very friendly (and included in the resort fee, so you may as well use it.) Front desk staff are nice and helpful, too. Nice pool: not an exercise pool so much as a "hanging out outside and enjoying the New Mexico air" kind of spot, with little hot tubs right beside. Gym is small but does what you need it to. Rooms are big enough, have a refrigerator that actually works (as opposed to the weird zombie minibars you see in some places), and housekeeping does an excellent job. All in all, a great choice for Santa Fe - it'll make your life easy and give you a good launching place for exploring the town's heart.

Check-in was easy & the room was pretty comfortable. There was an iron in the closet but no ironing board to be found to press clothes for our formal event. Also, the Keurig machine was broken - it was plugged in & full of water, with all the k-cups & condiments nearby, but it would not even turn on. We walked down to tell the front desk but she seemed confused & did not make any efforts to help -perhaps she could have gotten a new Keurig or given us a voucher for coffee at Agave. The restaurant was very disappointing. We planned to eat breakfast there so we stopped by the night before to check out their menus and see if we wanted to eat there in the morning. A manager reassured us that the online menus were all uptodate and accurate. The next morning we perused the Brunch and Breakfast Menus that were online and timed our going-down to coincide with Brunch. When we were seated in a very empty restaurant, the staff quickly told us that the kitchen was about to close and if we wanted to order from the Breakfast Menu, we would need to hurry. We explained our encounter with the manager the previous night and said we would like to see the Brunch Menu. They said there was no brunch menu available and the Breakfast Menu they handed us was different than online. We hesitated on ordering, unsure if we wanted to eat there. Again, they pushed us to order & said they needed to close. We expressed our frustration and left. They apologized but did not provide great customer service.

The restaurant and bar was closed the whole stay, no one told us and nothing was posted. We were there to relax and unwind and couldn’t. They suggested a burger hole in wall place a block away. Two burgers and one beer was $80. The photos showed a couch and tub, there wasn’t. I caught the front desk lying to another guest. Who was also stating for the amount guests pay, we expect a better level of service. While it looks nice the service level one would expect was missing. My family was disappointed overall. It was a waste of money.

We were surprised to read several bad reviews about this property, that was not our experience at all! The room was clean and very comfortable, with a balcony/patio and fireplace. All of staff were great. JJ in parking took good care of our car, the bellmen were super helpful and set up fires for us each night. There was only one occasion when the desk did not answer the phone right away. The restaurant was average and did not live up to the prices of the meals. The menu was limited and it was disappointing that they did not have soups of any kind. If you're looking to eat light, you may need to go elsewhere. The service at the restaurant was great but the orders were not always quite correct. Overall, this is a great place to stay and only a short walk to the plaza.
