The pool was closed (80 degrees in late May) and the Wi fi worked intermittently at best. Decent location, about a 15 minute walk to downtown and the plaza. A solid OK, not great.

1st it is a motel not a HOTEL. At check-in I asked where the pool was. The person at the front desk pointed it out on the map, it was closed, had been for some time, waiting for city inspector. At time of making reservation asked for a handicap room, did not have any. No shampoo in room, that's a small thing. Tried calling the front desk 2 different times, let the phone ring 15-20 times (each ) with no answer. Made the reservation about 10 days before arrival, I feel I should have been contacted about no handicap room. Bottom line is I will not stay here again nor recommend this motel to anyone. Should have stayed at motel 6. Over priced for a cheap motel.

Pool was dirty, which was main reason we booked the hotel. Room was dirty there was dead cockaroch. The walls were dirty fixtures were poorly maintained. Pillows were stained. I have stayed at boutique motels in the area. This was a poor attempt at one . Would not stay here again

The Sage is a good option for Santa Fe. There is a convenient shuttle and the mail plaza is only a 15 minute walk. It’s also close to the Railyard area. The staff is very good.

Great location to enjoy downtown Santa Fe. Walking distance (20 Minuets) to the Santa Fe Plaza and only 8 min to the Railyard. Breakfast was substantial with many options and a great way to kick off the day. The pool is small but a nice addition to the property. The king size bed had a very comfortable mattress. The size of the room was good. Plenty of on site parking and the restaurant/bar seemed lively and had live music over the weekend. The negatives: The AC in the room did not work well. The sink dripped constantly which seemed like a waste of water. We specifically requested housekeeping on 3 occasions and they never came to refresh the room. Overall I feel that location is great and the room is comfortable and a good value.

This is a budget motel and as such the room and property were great. Clean, comfortable beds. All we needed. The breakfast was great! We did have food & drinks in the Social one night & it was horrible. I paid $15 for a margarita that I couldn't drink and someone threw a few chips, chili, quac., beans, sour cream and cheese in a small bowl to make nachos. Would probably stay here again and avoid The Social. Oh, and the pool isn't much larger than a hottub.

The check in is automated. Think ordering at McDonalds. The staff there were nice, and could be helpful. One person checked in two guests in the time it took me to check in. The place was very dirty. Stains in the bathtub, surfaces which needed a lot of cleaning and wiping down. I would not stay here again. And while the staff were nice, management was checked out at best.

Smelled really bad . Tub and shower was disgusting .Bathroom smelled really sour and the rest of the room smelled like cigarette smoke and stinky feet . Someone’s hair was all over the room also . There was unfinished repairs in the room and the door was difficult to latch closed . We accidentally spilled some water on the floor . When we placed a towel on the wet area it completely turned the towels yellow . There was also a dried bloody booger on the sheets so I can’t say that the sheets were actually washed . This was actually one of the worst hotel/motels my wife and I have ever stayed at . It won’t let me add the photos .

I would give the Sage a very high rating but unfortunately my room was infested with bedbugs and I suffered a few dozen bed bug bites all over my body. Therefore my experience and property condition gets 1 star. I dont care how good every other characterisitc was, I don't want to spend 2 weeks dealing with the itching discomfort of unsightly swollen bites all over my body. Discovered them after i checked out and called to let the front desk know.

experienced bed bug on room 283. We got bitten and videos show bug was found on the bed. Staff was acknowledged and reported. Checked out immediately and we were asked 72 hours for their manager to process the refund request. We are not mad, manager, please at least show some respect and sympathy after you read this. I am sure we are not the only victims in this hotel due to cleanness problem.

The location was great - near Railyard District and not far from the Plaza. The room was nothing special but decent. Furniture seemed rather low end. Sheets and mattress cover were too small for the bed resulting in them coming off the mattress during the night so when you woke up it was all bunched up under you. Since lodging is expensive in Santa Fe you either get this nor pay big money and I’ve done both so you get what you pay for…. Affordable or luxury. I doubt I’d stay here again but if I had a friend looking for budget friendly then I’d say this was ok. Drinks in bar were very expensive - 2 drinks $40!! P.S.!- rooms aren’t cleaned unless requested.

Great little place to stay if you are budget minded and don’t mind the following: The bathroom needed repairs to the toilet and shower. One light switch in the bathroom did not work, another had tape over it. The ceiling was either dirty, or had some mold spots. The shower head pipes were coming out of the wall. When flushing the toilet, there was a loud moaning noise that came from inside the wall.

Sage Hotel was quiet and walkable to Old Town Santa Fe. Check in and check out were easy. We found ants in the bathroom. The WiFi was spotty. Our bathroom door wouldn’t close.

Nice front desk, but confusing check in process. They just need to use the standard check in method, as thats what they ended up having to do anyway. Breakfast was good, rooms were clean, price was good, only complaint was the beds are a little firm, but i think this is due to the frames they have. I would stay here again though so its not too big of a deal.

When I checked in I asked for a first floor room. I walk with a cane and had a fairly heavy suitcase. The check in clerk ignored that and assigned me a second floor room. It was quite an exercise getting the suitcase up and down the stairs.

A decent stay with many issues that could easily be fixed. First I called ahead to ask about early check in and was told to come any time after 12pm, but when I arrived around 2pm the woman at the front desk was extremely dismissive and rude about checking in early. It was a different person from who I spoke to on the phone, but I’m not sure why that would have made such a difference and then she was unable to say what time we could come back to actually check in. The cleaners did not come in our room once during our three day stay, we ran out of toilet paper and our towels were overused at this point. We were also charged $15 per day for wifi which did not even work properly and disconnected from both of our phones multiple times. There was minimal service in the area so had we needed service for work or anything important we would have been in trouble. Overall very much a 3 star property at best, could be much better if things were fixed and ran smoother.

The staff in the lobby was okay, not greeted when you walked in, the staff in the eatery were horrible, we were there almost 50 minutes before we decided to leave as no staff member ever came to our table to take our order. The morning breakfast was just okay I did have to let the staff know that some of their "hot" food was cold and that they were totally out of coffee. On the positive side our bed was comfortable, and we were in walking distance to some breweries and other places to eat and shop, not sure if I would rebook there for our next vacation to Santa Fe..

I was charged a $50 "deposit" on my credit card which was supposed to be refunded on checkout. It's now 2 days later and so far no refund. The morning front desk staffer on 5/19/25 was rude and unhelpful. When checking in, we were told we get coffee when leaving at 6:30 am. The morning clerk rudely kept repeating "Breakfast starts at 7:00." Won't be staying there again.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. All areas of hotel were clean including our room. Property was well lit at night. Especially want to give a shout out to Katrina at the restaurant, she made our stay even better! Very attentive to everyone at the bar and for morning breakfast. She was very busy and didn’t miss a person in the bar. She stood out as a real “hustler”. Made us all feel like we were a local!

We have 2 large dogs and we love Sage! There is a dog park (not fenced) at the back of the property, the floors are vinyl planks for easy cleaning. Free breakfast that is great all for under $100 a night. Located near Whole Foods and other parks and the railyard. We walk to dinner and the room is quiet. It’s kind of small and old but we would still stay here if we have our dogs. Love it.

An excellent low frills budget friendly base from which to explore santa fe. Right by the railyard district, and a 20ish minute walk to historical plaza. Right by a Whole Foods for shopping convenience. Very respectable little restaurant and bar on site with chill outdoor seating. The 15 buck "experience fee" does actually add value thru breakfast and shuttle, so worth it.

I enjoyed the pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet has a variety of delicious choices. Having a shuttle option is a plus when walking is not desired. The Sage is in walking distance of the square, Rail Yard and many places in between.

Unable to watch tv or use most outlets unless the overhead lights are on. Maintenance came & said it was how the room was wired. It’s pretty inconvenient to have to have all the bright lights on in the evening. Food at the restaurant was very mediocre. Servers were friendly but very inattentive- slow…
