Very "old" property and looks and feels 1920's. Parking c can be an issue. Convenient location. If you're expecting modern room, this won't be for you.

We absolutely love this property and have stayed several times. The staff are friendly, helpful and nice. We really enjoy the fireplace in each room with free firewood! Having said that, bring starter sticks to be able to fast start the wood. Newspapers are offered also. The complimentary breakfast is wonderful, as are the 2 free custom coffees each day. Great location, walk to just about anywhere around the square and local shops. Good parking, onsite free laundry is a bonus also. Prices are very reasonable too.

We are locals and stayed here for the weekend. We loved that they are very pet friendly. Walking distance to plaza with many options for dining, nightlife or nature walks only 2-10 min walks all around downtown. Carefully thought out things like reusable water pouches and filling station. Great made to order breakfast included. Cute casita with private courtyard #40 was perfect for us and our fur babies to hang out. Super quiet, comfy beds. Can’t wait to come back and check out some of their other adorable casitas. Eddy was wonderful and always attentive and showed us around property.

I loved this little hotel. Very quaint and we had a little outdoor fenced in area, perfect if you have a dog with you. The people who work there were wonderful to us. Morning breakfast and coffee drinks free. Nice little gym.

This is a super quirky place to stay near downtown Santa Fe! The Front Desk was so welcoming offering us homemade marshmallows and chips upon arrival. We stayed in a studio which had a kitchenette and a fireplace. It was helpful that there were laundry facilities onsite. We enjoyed the comp breakfast the next morning. Parking was free. If you enjoy staying someplace that isn’t cookie-cutter then this is the place for you!

Staff is very friendly. Bed was comfortable. Room was in bad condition - torn/broken screens, weird brown gunk on toiletry container, loud refrigerator. Room was directly on road/sidewalk, so there was zero privacy and felt unsafe. There is a little "stream" in the courtyard that is in such bad condition that the pumps were sucking air, leaves were clogging the drains, and the water in the stream was just gross and brown. Why have this when it is not going to be maintained? Room HVAC was off when I arrived on a hot day, room was hot and stuffy and took hours to cool down to a reasonable temperature. It's such a weird place - they have a code-locked door from the parking lot to where the rooms are, but on the street/sidewalk side, there is a rickety little picket fence that anyone can walk through and enter the same area. On my first morning there, a random man was sitting directly underneath my bedroom window in the courtyard, mumbling, and when he saw me he exited quickly, mumbling. Why do they have a code-locked gate at all when there is zero security on the road side of the site. Overall, the charm of the place is so faded and worn, ill-cared for, and unsecure that I won't stay here again. No shade on the staff, but something is really wrong with the place and its management that can't be fixed without significant investment.

The windows (sills, blinds, panes, locks) were filthy. The sink was leaking all over the counter. The bath water lever was so hard to pull I had to use both hands and yank. Tons of dust under the headboard area. Plates were too big to wash in the small sink.

The place was filthy. I took photos to show the problems so there is no dispute. My feel were filthy from walking on the floors. The walls and vents were dirty. We found multiple spiders and a couple ants inside. We smelled an odor and woke up sick the next morning. We checked out and requested a refund for the 2nd night. The manager wasnt available for 4 hours? We still havent hotten a response back. This prooerty is so overrated! The photos are not the rooms provided. Qe were told it was a different part of the property.

What my husband and I liked about Las Palomas was the quaint look of the place. The room was clean, but that was the only time the cleaning crew was there till the day before we left. I don't understand this new way of treating guests. Nobody cleans or tidy up the room unless you are very persistent about if (we did asked three times about it) Personally when I go on vacation I do it so I don't have to do any work (clean, make my bed, tidy up). Why not charge a little more and keep the guests happy.

Charming hotel with a lot of character. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, my room was not made up a single time during a three-night stay. The hotel’s location is fantastic and close to shops/museums/restaurants on downtown.

The suite was adequate but had an uneven floor in the kitchen/bathroom area. The floors were dirty and the bathroom was not clean in the tub. The hotel location was close to the downtown and plaza and was within walking distance. The breakfast was very good each morning.

This is quite a lovely little enclave, Quite close to Santa Fe plaza. Very nice breakfast is included. Unfortunately my room was not great. There was a step between the bedroom and main room and for older people, at night, dangerous. In addition the bed was not great and the A/C was in the main room with no way to cool the BR. I asked to switch and was told because i booked with Expedia, this is what i could have.... that was very surprising. All in all, i would recommend this place but not room 23!

Las Palomas is unique. Their rooms are not your typical hotel-chain type. The room we stayed in was very cozy with the space used efficiently that included a tiny kitchen, fireplace, nice full leather couch, etc. It felt more like a cabin. The breakfast was very good as well. Las Palomas is only a few blocks away from the main town Plaza.
Las Palomas is unique. Their rooms are not your typical hotel-chain type. Rooms were very clean. But dark. Nice sheets but the mattress was sloping to the middle. Bathrooms are very small without a lot of space for toiletries. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was homemade and excellent! Good coffee. Welcoming breakfast area and cozy seating.

Classic Santa Fe style inside and out, walkable to downtown, and free breakfast. Staff at check in was warm and helpful, staff at checkout was less so. The kitchen staff and servers were very warm. The grounds are fun Santa Fe style (adjoining casitas among trees), and the rooms are reasonably sized for the price although the heater/HVAC unit is only in one room (over the bed) so the bathroom and kitchenette are *very* cold when the bedroom is healthy. I also had a previous experience here where the HVAC could not keep up with the cold weather outside, and would recommend caution staying during cooler weather unless you are sleeping in socks and warm pjs.

Nice place, but our room was very dated in comparison to our friends who stayed in another room at the same rate. Our heater stopped working on the last night and the manager at the front desk didn’t acknowledge that it was even an issue. Good location and good breakfast, but will stay somewhere else until they make improvements to the room. The manager should also take a customer service course and at minimum show a little care or concern when something as basic at hvac stops working.

So the pictures of this hotel look great - but the reality is the condition of this property is run down. What was amazing: the service, the breakfast, the location, the proximity to restaurants. Wonderful people and wonderful food. That's why I didn't check out and go to another hotel My casita was well laid out and spacious and it was clean-ish but there were moths and bugs in the room - and it definitely needed a good airing. The drains in the bathtub didn't drain properly, the walls were grubby and the only plug in the bedroom didn't work. The bottom line is that it just needed a good refresh. I paid for an upgrade and it didn't feel like one.

We stayed at Las Palomas 3 nights last week. We had a good stay in a one bedroom Casita. Our #14 casita was spacious in an adobe in a shady grouping of casitas. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the casita was very clean, good AC, the decor was dated and a bit funky for my tastes. We try to stay in hotels or Airbnb properties that "feel" like the area we are visiting with a good location; not a standard hotel room. My biggest complaint was how dark it was inside; this could be because the windows were few and small, property was shady, lamps had dark shades, it was an older structure with no overhead lighting except the dim fan. All the units seem to be different so maybe it was just our casita. Our kitchen was small and the microwave didn't work. We enjoyed our breakfasts at the on-site dining room and went out for dinner anyway -all short walks! The included breakfast, location and staff were amazing! I have never encountered such happy staff who seemed to enjoy working and serving their guests.

Nice place, but our room was very dated in comparison to our friends who stayed in another room at the same rate. Our heater stopped working on the last night and the manager at the front desk didn’t acknowledge that it was even an issue. Good location and good breakfast, but will stay somewhere else until they make improvements to the room. The manager should also take a customer service course and at minimum show a little care or concern when something as basic at hvac stops working.

Great staff- very accommodating. The front desk staff were always so kind and helpful. The freshly made potato chips, marshmallows, free daily fire wood and breakfast options made the stay so much more pleasant. Loved the quaint atmosphere and room decor.

I just returned to San Diego after staying at Las Palomas and I am already looking forward to spending more time there again soon. It is a beautiful hotel, but what impressed me most was the staff. They are professional, very friendly, and helpful. They made our visit even more enjoyable.

We had a great stay at Las Palomas! We loved the location and how easy it was to walk to the places we wanted to see in historic Santa Fe. We also really loved the made to order breakfast they offer. It's rare to find a real breakfast like that included at a hotel these days and that along with the hospitality makes this a really special place. When we checked in, they offered us lemonade, homemade potato chips, and a gift bag for my dog with treats and a toy. I would definitely recommend staying here in Santa Fe for the great service and location!

Room charge includes made to order breakfast and all day pastries and chocolate chip cookies. Santa Fe itself is pricey. In comparison with other Santa Fe lodging, Las Palomas is reasonable. If Santa Fe is your destination, I highly recommend Las Palomas.

Staff is very friendly. Bed was comfortable. Room was in bad condition - torn/broken screens, weird brown gunk on toiletry container, loud refrigerator. Room was directly on road/sidewalk, so there was zero privacy and felt unsafe. There is a little "stream" in the courtyard that is in such bad condition that the pumps were sucking air, leaves were clogging the drains, and the water in the stream was just gross and brown. Why have this when it is not going to be maintained? Room HVAC was off when I arrived on a hot day, room was hot and stuffy and took hours to cool down to a reasonable temperature. It's such a weird place - they have a code-locked door from the parking lot to where the rooms are, but on the street/sidewalk side, there is a rickety little picket fence that anyone can walk through and enter the same area. On my first morning there, a random man was sitting directly underneath my bedroom window in the courtyard, mumbling, and when he saw me he exited quickly, mumbling. Why do they have a code-locked gate at all when there is zero security on the road side of the site. Overall, the charm of the place is so faded and worn, ill-cared for, and unsecure that I won't stay here again. No shade on the staff, but something is really wrong with the place and its management that can't be fixed without significant investment.

Las Palomas is a comfortable, funky, slightly rustic, multi-building boutique motel with a fantastic free full breakfast (cooked to order, not just buffet) and a wonderfully friendly, helpful staff and an engaged owner/manager. Within easy walking distance of the heart of downtown Santa Fe (especially close to the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum). Plenty of free parking.

I agree with many reviewers that the room did not look like the pictures but I really liked the exterior pathways, plants and water features. Super charming exterior, free and easy parking and a very kind staff were the highlights. Very comfy bed as well! Our room was okay - would have been great with a paint job, some better furniture arrangement and a bathroom remodel. It felt a little overpriced for what it was, but we appreciated the proximity to town and the quiet neighborhood. Also dog friendly!

Glad I made this choice versus going to a chain hotel resort like El Dorado. This gave me a sense of place, with the unique adobe huts and rooms. I also enjoyed the free breakfast! Saving on that meal allowed me to splurge on dinners during my stay. The ladies in the kitchen were super friendly and helpful -- like they really enjoyed what they were doing. Their smiles were very sincere and genuine. Made my breakfast an enjoyable experience. Eddie in the front desk was super helpful! My iPhone adapter was not working properly and he lent me a fast charger during my stay. I would have been lost many times without a map!
