Didn't realize there wasn't an elevator. We were on the second floor and had some issues getting bags upstairs. Carpets were not vacuumed and even food bits on carpets going upstairs.

Property is dated. But in a bad way. No elevator. Mold in bathroom. Water pressuer non-existent. Toilet paper holder coming out of wall. No turn-down service the three days we stayed (no Do-Not-Disturb sign either). Probably should've checked out sooner, but it was just a place to rest for a few hours while in area for work, and almost everything else was booked. But would not recommend.

Great place to stay if you simply need a clean room and bed and don’t want or need amenities. No elevator for physically challenged. Some rugs need to be replaced. Fitness room was average. Would be good if they added a water cooler, lighter dumbbells, a fitness mat and a Pilates ball. Continental breakfast is good but limited. Liked the bagels, instant oatmeal and waffle maker but would be better if they added protein (hard boiled egg or yogurt?) and fruit (bananas?).But this is not a high end property, so just set expectations accordingly and you’ll be fine.

This Red Roof Inn offers large, clean rooms with exceptional service. Had a couple small issues (TV, business center) and Nick, who was on the front desk went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. There is no doubt Nick is a huge asset for the hotel.

Clean, comfortable, dog friendly motel. Front desk agent was courteous. Nice grassy area to walk dog and pet bag dispenser was appreciated. Room was spacious with good ac and comfy bed. I would definitely stay here again with my pup.

Very tough to find the main entrance. When we finally found it, we entered the main lobby and it looked like the place had not been vacuumed in days. Vomit outside the front door and in the parking lot. Garbage by the ice machines was piled up… apparently not emptied for quite a while. This was 6:00pm in the evening. No way the trash had been taken out the same day. Would be a nicer place if kept clean. Breakfast bar was VERY limited. Not impressed with hotel. These are all simple and cheap things to fix!!!

The carpet throughput the hotel was filthy. Our bathroom had holes in the walls and used, dirty towels on the back of the door. The remote was under the bottom sheet on the made bed. We left in the middle of the night. Will never stay there again

How is this place not shut down? We were greeted with first impressions of front desk employees smoking right outside as we pulled up. The exterior of the building was in poor shape with weeds overthrowing. The wall behind the front desk had several patched and unpainted areas and the lobby and stairwell carpeting were ripped up and filthy. We would have left and found another place but it was just one night. The sink in our room was visibly dirty, the walls were scuffed, there were visible stains on the bedskirt. Such a grimey place. Would never stay here again.

The property is very dirty. The smell of urine and the stickiness of the floors was bad. As we were checking in another couple came up to the front desk complaining about the smell of urine in their room. The room floors were so dirty and sticky that we had to throw our socks in the trash when we took them off. I am aware that the hotel is pet friendly but for this reason, cleaning should be much better. Also, I dont know whos idea was it to have a cherry tree at a dog friendly hotel. Cherry pits are very toxic to dogs. Definitely not a good idea and can be a legal issue if someone's dog gets a hold of them. The tv in our room was not working when we got there. Someone had stolen the hdmi cord. The staff was very helpful. They were the only plus side to the stay. Due to the lack of cleanliness at the hotel, we skipped on breakfast.

One look at the tub/shower and I decided I was cleaner already than I might be after using it. A glance under the bed was horrifying - pieces of food and other trash everywhere. Front desk staff appeared stoned - two guys discussing what they might order for dinner rather than helping customers. I could go on with more but you get the idea.

This hotel is falling apart. I thought i was in a bad horror movie. I got a room with a jetted tub for myself. The cielings had water damage and water stains. The jetted tub had soap scum around the edges. The bed sheet had a brown stain. The hallway carpet was dingy and in desperate need of a vaccuum. NEVER AGAIN.

I was shocked how dirty the hotel was in Clifton Park. I understand being outdated but cleanliness is important. It did not appear that the staff vacuums or mops the lobby area. Our hotel floor was so dirty and the bathroom walls and floor was dirty. I will never stay here again.

First thing noticed was a bad smell to the room and the wall all chewed up around the window unit, then seeing the black mold on the ceiling over the shower. The floor made my feet all black with dirt when I walked barefoot in the room. It really showed when I showered and my feet made the floor of the shower very dirty. The somewhat continental breakfast was old food. English muffin, bagel, waffle mix, coffee, tea, and that’s it. Had to ask for a bath mat, which was not provided in the room. They never changed the sheets or towels in a three day stay. The help at the front desk were complaining about too many days on and long hours. One woman was outside having a meltdown with her boss on the phone with no one tending the desk. Will not stay there again!

This place was safe, clean, quiet and had great parking and a super nice staff. The property us dated and the maintenance is poor, sone of the outlets in my room didn't work, there is no elevator for the 2nd floor and teh AC in my room barely worked, also the bed was noisy and hard as a rock. This place could be great but it's just okay, maybe good for an over ight if you don't mind stars, a hard bed and can live without a good working air conditioner. The bathroom was clean but also had some maintenance issues.

This red roof Inn was below average in my opinion. Start with a good things, the room was reasonably clean, and the grounds of the facility are decent as well. That’s about all the good I could muster. Cons of this place were Hallway to the ground floor, where my room was was filthy. Some other patrons were there with a dog. There was an incredible volume of white, fluffy dog here all of the hallway. It was also a large amount of dirt and small pieces of paper everywhere. Other people that were staying on that same hallway were very loud and there was no one around to talk to you about it. Also, the smell of weed coming from one of the rooms polluted the entire hallway and clearly someone should be addressing that. Disappointments in the room were One of the queen mattresses was sagging beyond belief. The bedframe itself also was either disconnected or broken. Somehow, in every time I rolled over it, clanged and clanked in the middle of the night. The mattress itself was pathetically worn out. My son’s queen bed was in decent shape. Refrigerator in the room had something wrong with the compressor which I didn’t realize until late at night. Whenever it kicked on, it sounded like there was a sump pump running in the room. This led me to have to get up and turn the temperature down as low as I could still maintain some level of coldness to keep the food I bought in there cold. Between the refrigerator and the mattress it was a sleepless evening.

Broken door lock made it difficult to enter room on multiple occasions. Very basic breakfast wasn't worth the stay here. I was counseled by front desk staff due to a complaint by another guest because my dog barked a few times at 8:30 am when I left the room for a few minutes to be a responsible owner and clean up after my pet (and someone else's pet as well). It's a Red Roof Inn, for Pete's sake. Dogs bark. Fine--next time I'll just leave my dog's crap on their grass like other guests did. I was awoken at 7am due to a neighbor's yappy dogs barking, incidentally.

We stay here every summer for a weekend as we travel through the area. Every year our stay is great. This year, it seems things have changed. The property doesn't seem to be maintained as it should. Normal, routine things such as the door to the room, the TV, run through Roku now and down to the ice machine all were problems. Even the complimentary breakfast has diminished in variety. I did mention to some of the employees about our negative experience. They were all very sincere and genuine. The general manager, Kristi, I believe her name was, took the time to speak with me and listen to my concerns. All in all, with proper, regular maintenance, I think things can be fixed and return to the good experience we're used to receiving here during our stay.

The front desk staff was either new or uninformed and had his head down on the counter, sleeping? The door to the room was not working properly and didn't open without forcefully pushing it with you entire body and also did not close properly without really slamming it. The TV did not work properly with the remote, but we finally got it working by adjusting the input buttons on the side of the TV. The drain in the tub was dirty and in need of replacement. We chose not to use the shower in this room. The toilet seat was very loose and needs tightening or replacement.

There was mold in the bathroom and cobwebs on the walls. I got keys to a room a guest was already staying in, and another guest got the wrong room setup and had to find somewhere else to stay because no other rooms were available. We were checking in at the same time around 4:30pm/5pm. I will say the staff was super friendly, took accountability for the mistakes, and were working hard to fix the issues. I’m pretty sure they were fully booked and understaffed the day I stayed, and despite that, the staff were definitely a highlight.

This Red Roof Inn offers large, clean rooms with exceptional service. Had a couple small issues (TV, business center) and Nick, who was on the front desk went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. There is no doubt Nick is a huge asset for the hotel.

They originally gave us a room key for a room that was occupied, and that was a little awkward at first, but this place was clearly understaffed and deserves a lot more help. I can’t fault the folks who work there operating with what little they have. That being said, this was a fine place to crash after a concert at SPAC. Inexpensive, quiet, and the folks who work there are friendly. Definitely no frills, but if that’s all you need it’s fine!

Waited for awhile for a front desk employee to assist and then I was doublecharged after prepaying the reservation. The front desk attendant proceeded to explain to me how hotel billing works even though he made the mistake. Had to call back to receive a refund re: the double charge. Carpet leading to room was also dirty. Parking lot could use more lighting.

Day ladies at registration complaining of being too busy and the inside and outside of building and rooms need serious cleaning, attention and the entire property needs a refresh. People smoking near entrance. Dog garbage can too full and no bags for the dog waste, so i did have my own but had to throw it in normal trash.

My husband went to check in, told no rooms ready and he must stay on 2nd floor although he requested ground floor due to full hip and knee replacement. Front desk staff was rude and had no customer service skills. She told him if unhappy, go elsewhere and not her problem Since he booked through Expedia. He went elsewhere.

You get what you pay for I guess is the best way to put it. At $60 for a king room mid week I shouldn't complain but reviews are for both owners/managers and potential travelers. Room 129 was clean when I entered and seemed to have gone through a recent furniture replacement. Once you looked closely you saw the broken drapery Rod, the slow draining tub, the bathroom ceiling that was flaking etc. The breakfast is very very basic, coffee was hot, waffle machine worked fine. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the hallway the night I checked in and also the next morning which I commented about at the front desk. "It's been a nightmare since legalization" and falls under the $250 fine upon checkout but probably not enforced. Proximity to everything is the Clifton Spark area is excellent. In my opinion the property needs a little love and it would be great. I don't think the price difference between hotels should be due to condition but amenities offered. It is nice to find a Red Roof with indoor hallways😊

This was a clean, affordable place to stay. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were perfect for stomach sleepers. Tina, the housekeeping supervisor, was personable, attentive, and helpful when we needed a few extra minutes to checkout. Front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Convenient location with a Cracker Barrel nearby. This hotel is good value for money.

Great place to stay if you simply need a clean room and bed and don’t want or need amenities. No elevator for physically challenged. Some rugs need to be replaced. Fitness room was average. Would be good if they added a water cooler, lighter dumbbells, a fitness mat and a Pilates ball. Continental breakfast is good but limited. Liked the bagels, instant oatmeal and waffle maker but would be better if they added protein (hard boiled egg or yogurt?) and fruit (bananas?).But this is not a high end property, so just set expectations accordingly and you’ll be fine.

The property is very dirty. The smell of urine and the stickiness of the floors was bad. As we were checking in another couple came up to the front desk complaining about the smell of urine in their room. The room floors were so dirty and sticky that we had to throw our socks in the trash when we took them off. I am aware that the hotel is pet friendly but for this reason, cleaning should be much better. Also, I dont know whos idea was it to have a cherry tree at a dog friendly hotel. Cherry pits are very toxic to dogs. Definitely not a good idea and can be a legal issue if someone's dog gets a hold of them. The tv in our room was not working when we got there. Someone had stolen the hdmi cord. The staff was very helpful. They were the only plus side to the stay. Due to the lack of cleanliness at the hotel, we skipped on breakfast.

Broken door lock made it difficult to enter room on multiple occasions. Very basic breakfast wasn't worth the stay here. I was counseled by front desk staff due to a complaint by another guest because my dog barked a few times at 8:30 am when I left the room for a few minutes to be a responsible owner and clean up after my pet (and someone else's pet as well). It's a Red Roof Inn, for Pete's sake. Dogs bark. Fine--next time I'll just leave my dog's crap on their grass like other guests did. Our room, 220, was filthy. My feet were black from walking on the floors before I started wearing shoes at all times, cobwebs on the walls in the room and bathroom, and I found a couple of little bugs crawling on my bed. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so for those of us on the second floor, expect to carry all your bags, porta-crib, etc., up and down the stairs. The public stairs and hallways were in much need of vacuuming. I understand, it was my choice to stay at this hotel, but I did so because it was a cheaper choice. It was still $170.00 a night for dirt.
