To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. The good parts? No rodents, bugs, or other unwelcome guests. That pretty much sums it up. (And decent wifi) It starts with basic complaints for hotels, the single ply toilet paper, the bar hand soap that leaves a film on your skin, and thin walls. Then there's the misleading pool picture. That is (apparently) not a hot tub but a "kiddie pool". Yeah, the site doesn't say hot tub, just a pool, but the picture seems to show a hot tub (and its designed like one). Whatever, that would have been an added bonus. The room had a pungent cigarette smell despite it being a smoke-free room, my partner woke up with congestion every morning (the longer he was out of the room, the better he felt). We had a balcony, but there was no screen door so if we wanted to air out the room, we would have to deal with bugs. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows are paper thin, and the staff claimed that the full mattress we had in our room was the queen mattress we paid for. There's wallpaper coming off the wall, a poorly patched spot in the shower, and the bathroom door has a chunk missing from it. One of the wall lights was broken, and they even turned off our keys after the first night so we had to go downstairs to get them turned back on. The free breakfast was also incredibly disappointing. There was a waffle maker which was nice, but the only other options are soggy bacon and watery eggs, or plain bagels/toast.

Well located and well maintained hotel. The kids loved the pool and breakfast. We couldn't get connecting rooms but the staff arranged for rooms that were almost facing each other which made coordinating our large party much easier. Would definitely stay there again when visiting Albany.

Its not a hot tub. We were told that it's a "kiddie pool," which was disappointing. We had issues with room keys, too. After every precaution was taken to keep our room keys away from anything that could have scrambled them, the keys still seemed to be reset every day. For three of the five days (in a row, mind you), the keys needed to be re-coded for our room. The rooms were acceptable, considering the per-night price. The AC/heater worked, and the water was hot enough.
