Manager called us during a $600 dinner out to tell me I was locked out of my room that was prepaid then was told we will get a free night now I have to do all sorts of follow up with Expedia to get this right. Beyond belief in a hotel of this caliber this has to go on the property is beautiful, but they should bet their managers a little bit more carefully to me what they say and say what they mean. In addition, we couldn’t go to the rooftop bar because it was “fully committed.” I guess that means they were busy isn’t that what New York is that’s one of the reasons we booked the hotel. So $1000 down the drain for what was supposed to be a special weekend that just turned out to be a headache and an annoyance. I guess if you book on Expedia and something goes wrong don’t expect to get your money back.

This was my first time staying at the Conrad Downtown. I have stayed nearby at a smaller hotel on West Broadway for many years but thought to try something different given how noisy the W Broadway hotel is. In that regard the Conrad did not disappoint. It offers great views of the Hudson River as well. The location is somewhat tranquil given the general noise and traffic of NY and a minute walk to the west side bike path which is great for running. It’s a very large corporate hotel which I didn’t realize but adjusted to. The location isn’t great for taking the subway (about 10 minutes to the nearest station (E at World Trade) or 13 minutes to 2&3 station at Chambers St/West Broadway. And it takes a while to catch an elevator during rush hour morning times which can be annoying (a smaller hotel generally doesn’t have this issue). I also didn’t realize you couldn’t remove items from the mini-bar to store your own things but they made amends by bringing me my own mini-refrigerator. House cleaning was great but don’t turn on the privacy/do not disturb for too long or they post a notice saying they have the right to inspect the room after 24 hours. Again - these are very corporate policies that I wasn’t used to. Gym was nice. After making some adjustments the stay got better. Bed was very soft was my only complaint and carpet could be a touch cleaner. Overall I would recommend with these caveats but I still might go back to my noisy small hotel.

we have a son with special needs who wakes very early…staff couldn’t have been nice or more accommodating bringing up breakfast food for him to take with his meds before in room dining opened. extra helpful and prompt bringing gino extra towels and pillows and making up pullout couch. all staff are polite courteous helpful and compentent. priority decorated beautifully for holidays. Love the new auto water refills and bottles provided in the room. Lighting options in rooms also amazing!! Love this hotel!

Outstanding customer service. We interacted with a dozen or more staff members including the restaurant. Each person was extremely professional. The food was delicious and the room service was prompt and satisfying. The in room water filter was an added bonus. The shower absolutely was the highlight of the room. It was enormous and its own space and waterfall sytle. It may have added a few years to my life. Seriously it was that good. I stayed in room 1418 so we were pretty high up. The Housekeeping staff was excellent as well. They cleared our dishes immediately upon setting them outside the door. Another highlight was the quality if the food. The Tuscan avocado toast was so yummy. The margarita pizza was delicious paired with the Daou canernet they featured at the hotel. All around great experience. The rooms were worth the price all day long. The food and drinks were expensive but again, the quality was above average and the city is bit pricey anyway. They could use a professional upholstery cleaner for the couch (room 1418) but I honestly can't complain about anything. We felt at home during our 3 night/4 day stay.

Probably our fault when planning, but we were hoping for a more elevated, sophisticated experience as husband and wife. I think our vibe was thrown off by the confusing design of natural wood tones (which we loved) coupled with futuristic george jetson-style furnishing and chaotic art design (odd). It was visually confusing and overwhelming It would be better if the design from the restaurant was continued throughout the rest of facility (natural woods, white, plants, beaded glass hanging). Speaking of food breakfast was amazing, but dinner and in room dining was limited... Also the rooftop bar doesn't serve food.... Mixed nuts and drinks. Otherwise the hotel is very clean and comfortable and service is top notch. I would certainly return with my family!

Excellent location near the 911 Memorial and One World Trade Center. Lots to do in the area. Great shopping a short walk from the hotel. Staff were attentive and nice from the moment we arrived. They could have easy valet the car and charged me a $120/ night for parking, instead they tell me where the parking they use is around the corner and save me a ton. The next day, when I went to use the gym, I was pleasantly surprised to see 3 pelotons in addition to multiple treadmills, ellipticals and rowers. I returned to my clean room and found that they had brought a doggie bed and toy for the little guy. Everyone was super helpful and our stay couldn’t have been better.

High end hotel, nice service( they provided a mini refrigerator and electrical hot water pot to our room). The shower is strong and the best we have ever had. Room is spacious.very close to the World Trade Center memorial and the new oculus．price is little bit high but understand it is New York/lower Manhattan!

The hotel is beautiful. It is very clean. The rooms towards the street are very noisy. The hair dryer was not working and it took them about 2 hours to get me a new one.The water dispenser needs to be rebooted by staff if there is some kind of service interruption. Overall, I liked the hotel very much but these were the things I experienced.They are not fast with room service.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Warm and friendly service . Excellent location downtown and an easy walk to the west village. Only complaint and to be honest I’m really just splitting hairs. They have bath tubs and shower curtains which I personally don’t like but the bathroom was spotless with sufficient towels and bath supplies. Great stay and I’d definitely stay again

The hotel is beautiful, it could use some renovations ; curtains, new mattresses, and bathrobes. The curtains didn’t look up to part ; they were dingy. The mattress I slept in had bumps in it and it was very hard. I think they are due for a change. The staff was kind, friendly and helpful. I think that I overlooked any failings just because of the things mentioned above just because of the staff. It was a wonderful stay.

We booked a double/double suit for for four people for three days. The hotel is nicely located close to 9/11 memorial and the area is calm and safe. The hotels interior is really nice with spacious lobby and windows overlooking Hudson river. The room was nice with good size. One sofa bed and two queen-size beds. The shower was good size and with high water pressure. Even though we booked for four people there was only the standard two coffee mugs, two glasses, two bathrobes, etc. The coffee machine was only stuffed with two different coffee types so we had to call and get it filled up. The worst thing was the cleaning. Upon entering the room and without looking in too much detail we found several traces of previous guests including hair in the shower and on the bed. Upon check-out I did a more thorough look in drawers and cupboards and found more traces from previous guests which wasn't nice. We've stayed at several 5-star hotels through the years and all-in-all I would rate it as a 4-star hotel, lacking the real 5-star service, touch and amenities, including proper cleaning.

Great location, friendly staff, great service. But we found a few signs that the room hasn't been cleaned well by the housekeeping personnel (e.g. used q-tip on the bathroom floor, few seeds around the master bed). Would definitely stay here again, but this time would consider checking the room first.

It appeared that several rather sharp pins were used to secure the carpet. I couldn't see it, but it stung even when I stepped on it wearing socks. Adults are fine, but in my baby, the soles of his feet bled because of these. Everything except this was a perfect hotel.

When I arrived to the room, I took off my mask and put it the bin, but saw there was already trash in the bin that was forgotten to take out… Room itself is nicely pointed, comfortable bed and rather spacious room, overall clean. I loved the rain shower with its pressure level. Interesting to have the water machine in the room, but comp bottle would’ve been nice. Staff was… alright, nothing that screams 5-star. Not once was I offered luggage assistance during check-in/check-out especially with the stairs down to street level. Personally I think it’s great to allow your staff to sit during the transaction because we all know how long they have to stand in a day, but at the end of check-in, would be nice for them to stand up and hand over they key, just feels more 5-star. Lastly, operator was horrible and twice I got her. First time I called as an external, simply wanted was an email address, I got transferred to the Concierge but got bounced back to her, then I asked the “email address” again which she immediately transferred me again, after 7 minutes when I finally got bounced back to her once again, I told her upfront that DO NOT transfer me, all I wanted was one email address so I could’ve avoided all this, and all it took was 30 seconds, but she didn’t forget to question me if I heard the voice recording while I on hold tell me the email address for the Concierge which the answer once again is no and I didn’t like how she sounded so annoyed. When I arrived to the room, I took off my mask and put it the bin, but saw there was already trash in the bin that was forgotten to take out… Room itself is nicely pointed, comfortable bed and rather spacious room, overall clean. I loved the rain shower with its pressure level. Interesting to have the water machine in the room, but comp bottle would’ve been nice. Staff was… alright, nothing that screams 5-star. Not once was I offered luggage assistance during check-in/check-out especially with the stairs down to street level. Personally I think it’s great to allow your staff to sit during the transaction because we all know how long they have to stand in a day, but at the end of check-in, would be nice for them to stand up and hand over they key, just feels more 5-star. Lastly, operator was horrible and twice I got her. The hotel is beautiful. It is very clean. The rooms towards the street are very noisy. The hair dryer was not working and it took them about 2 hours to get me a new one.The water dispenser needs to be rebooted by staff if there is some kind of service interruption. Overall, I liked the hotel very much but these were the things I experienced.They are not fast with room service.

This is the second time we've stayed here, after a stay a number of years ago. This is probably the most comfortable hotel room I've stayed in anywhere, a certainly in NYC. Beds extremely comfortable, a teriffic shower and a nice design that leaves plenty of room to relax. Location convenient to downtown and transportation uptown.

The hotel is beautiful, it could use some renovations ; curtains, new mattresses, and bathrobes. The curtains didn’t look up to part ; they were dingy. The mattress I slept in had bumps in it and it was very hard. I think they are due for a change. The staff was kind, friendly and helpful. I think that I overlooked any failings just because of the things mentioned above just because of the staff. It was a wonderful stay.

This was our second time staying at this fabulous hotel. Great location for exploring lower Manhattan and so close to the Newark airport, too. The room was so spacious, really a suite with sitting area and an amazing shower I’ll never forget, like standing under a waterfall. The robes were so soft and bedding really comfortable, too. We slept very soundly. The room was quiet and staff very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Conrad Downtown is a modern and clean hotel with a great lobby. Our main complaint is around the set up for someone using a sofa bed in the suite. The furniture in the living area - a very heavy table and arm chair - is ill suited to opening up the bed. While hotel staff moved the furniture when setting up the bed, it was still in the way and the table even had to be set on its side.

For the price paid, I am not sure it’s worth it to stay here. If you need anything for the room you need to go downstairs to talk to someone. There was no one picking up on the phone. Room buttons for example for lighting are not intuitive and need better AC/Heating controls. But mostly the service was disappointing. I had to request turn down service and even when we got it I had to remind the staff about chocolates.

Outstanding customer service. We interacted with a dozen or more staff members including the restaurant. Each person was extremely professional. The food was delicious and the room service was prompt and satisfying. The in room water filter was an added bonus. The shower absolutely was the highlight of the room. It was enormous and its own space and waterfall sytle. It may have added a few years to my life. Seriously it was that good. I stayed in room 1418 so we were pretty high up. The Housekeeping staff was excellent as well. They cleared our dishes immediately upon setting them outside the door. Another highlight was the quality if the food. The Tuscan avocado toast was so yummy. The margarita pizza was delicious paired with the Daou canernet they featured at the hotel. All around great experience. The rooms were worth the price all day long. The food and drinks were expensive but again, the quality was above average and the city is bit pricey anyway. They could use a professional upholstery cleaner for the couch (room 1418) but I honestly can't complain about anything. We felt at home during our 3 night/4 day stay.

Arrived early. Tried to check in. Lauren had the worst attitude and was the most unhelpful front desk staff I have ever experienced. She should not be on the front line. What could have been an easy interaction turned out to be horrific. Zero stars for her. Everyone else 4-5 stars.

Check in was at 3 pm. We arrived shortly thereafter, but the room was not ready. We were told that it would be about 15 min. and that the housekeeping manager was doing a check of the room. We waited for an hour and a half. They finally gave us a room, only to find that it was the wrong room. It was just annoying and unprofessional.

Have stayed in the Singapore Conrad hundreds of times. It’s an excellent hotel. First time I have stayed in this Conrad in New York. Exceeded expectations across the board. In particular, the customer service is phenomenal. Five stars. 10 out of 10. Triple AAA. Platinum.

I\'ve stayed here many times in the past, and it is rapidly declining in service. My family and I stayed over the Holidays and the service was awful, the management ineffective, and just overall not a great experience. I had two rooms. I went to my 2nd room on the 2nd day to grab it to get ready for a later dinner, I walked into the room and there was a cleaning lady using my bathroom and asked, frantically, why I was in my room. I told her I need the bag in the bathroom and she asked for a few min to "finish cleaning the bathroom," the ENTIRE room was cleaned hours before. I walked to the other room and grabbed my kids, we walked back into the room and the cleaning lady was frantically spraying leaner and wiping the bathroom down. Lomg story short-ish, someone removed my bag from the bathroom, thought no one was occupying the room (I checked in the day before), used my bathroom as her own personal one, complained to Management about it, took 2 days of my following up WITH THEM about it to get my bag back. When they returned it, everything was out of the bag like they rifled through it. Didn\'t apologize, no one called to follow up. Just absolutely ridiculous customer service. THIS IS A 2 STAR HOTEL AT 5 STAR PRICES. Stay somewhere else.

This was my first time staying at the Conrad Downtown. I have stayed nearby at a smaller hotel on West Broadway for many years but thought to try something different given how noisy the W Broadway hotel is. In that regard the Conrad did not disappoint. It offers great views of the Hudson River as well. The location is somewhat tranquil given the general noise and traffic of NY and a minute walk to the west side bike path which is great for running. It’s a very large corporate hotel which I didn’t realize but adjusted to. The location isn’t great for taking the subway (about 10 minutes to the nearest station (E at World Trade) or 13 minutes to 2&3 station at Chambers St/West Broadway. And it takes a while to catch an elevator during rush hour morning times which can be annoying (a smaller hotel generally doesn’t have this issue). I also didn’t realize you couldn’t remove items from the mini-bar to store your own things but they made amends by bringing me my own mini-refrigerator. House cleaning was great but don’t turn on the privacy/do not disturb for too long or they post a notice saying they have the right to inspect the room after 24 hours. Again - these are very corporate policies that I wasn’t used to. Gym was nice. After making some adjustments the stay got better. Bed was very soft was my only complaint and carpet could be a touch cleaner. Overall I would recommend with these caveats but I still might go back to my noisy small hotel.

The Conrad Hotel has beautiful interior design. Rooms are clean but a little small but that is New York. Shower is great, roomy , great water pressure, nice smelling soap. Quite pricey for the space though. Breakfast so so an over priced. Drinks were awesome on the rooftop bar.

Probably our fault when planning, but we were hoping for a more elevated, sophisticated experience as husband and wife. I think our vibe was thrown off by the confusing design of natural wood tones (which we loved) coupled with futuristic george jetson-style furnishing and chaotic art design (odd). It was visually confusing and overwhelming It would be better if the design from the restaurant was continued throughout the rest of facility (natural woods, white, plants, beaded glass hanging). Speaking of food breakfast was amazing, but dinner and in room dining was limited... Also the rooftop bar doesn't serve food.... Mixed nuts and drinks. Otherwise the hotel is very clean and comfortable and service is top notch. I would certainly return with my family!

Very late check in. We were given late checkout of 1:30 which compensated. No TV or phone for a day. Restaurant extremely understaffed with all managers trying to help. I suspect they were having a walkout or it is just very poor planning. One hour wait for breakfast. If it wasn't a rainy day I would have gone elsewhere.

Stayed here in June with my wife and 5 year old son. We loved the hotel. The location is great, if the hustle and bustle of midtown is too much, than this place is ideal. There’s a ferry terminal across the street to NJ, you have a shopping mall across the street. One world trade and 9/11 memorial 5 mins walk. The atrium is really impressive. Rooms are modern and clean. Great staff too. My only gripes is the the rooftop bar could do with serving small nibbles and snacks. Breakfast is ridiculously pricey, if it wasn’t for my Hilton honours room credit, i probably wouldn’t have eaten. Could easily cost a family $100. Didn’t try dinner, so can’t comment. Chambers street/Fulton street subway stations 10 mins walk, you can get to midtown/Central Park in 15-20 mins

Chambers street/Fulton street subway stations 10 mins walk, you can get to midtown/Central Park in 15-20 mins

This is the only hotel I stay when I visit NYC. It is so well maintained. It’s a large suite and the best part is the shower. The amenities are fabulous. The filtered water in your room, is so convenient. The robes, the slippers, and the bedding is unbelievably comfortable. The food in the restaurant onsite is amazing. And we couldn’t get enough of the rooftop bar. Will be back next summer!

Housekeeping didn’t clean room and we needed to call for sheets to be pu on a pull out for our 3rd person, and towels weren’t replenished and needed to call for that also.
