The second elevator was down during my entire stay. It took a long period of time to get to my room and down to the lobby.

The inclusive breakfast was ok not great could have had more healthy options. Tiny space for all the people eating it got crowded. The "gym" is a joke. It's a stationary bike, treadmill and elliptical. Very small not even enough room to stretch and no weights

This location was great for easy access to Penn Station and getting back & forth to the US Open 🎾. Lots a great bars, food trucks & delis. Only drawback was the valet parking which was pricey ($70 plus tax) per day. STAFF was very helpful, we will be back!

It was underwhelming for the price. Only had 2 elevators and 1 was down (one employee said for 2 months), yet there is nothing on the website about it. Too many people waiting for 1 elevator to go up, plus employees using the elevator and holding it up for guests. Should be expediting that issue! If i had known about the elevator issue, I would have booked elsewhere.

2nd elevator not working which caused a long delay from the 19th floor down to first floor.

Only having one elevator was only an issue during breakfast/checkout times. The wait was up to 10 minutes during those times, so we had to plan accordingly. Otherwise it was a great location.

This place is showing its age and the "fitness center" was hotter than you know what. it had three cardio machines and that's it. The breakfast was not very good at all.

None of the ice machines were turned on. If they were it was after 10 in the am and ice was gone soon after that

The elevators don’t work. DON’T STAY HERE. Even the staff is suffering because of it.

First room floor was wet under the carpet and had rank smell entire 2nd floor, was wet when you took your shoes off. Requested a room switch, front desk man was unfazed, asked no further details or apology but moved the room. Next room was okay, slightly run down and glitchy tv but comfortable. Charged 100 dollars for 30 minutes late checkout which has never happened at any other Hampton property, especially without a phone call or reminder. Would stay only at 100 price point, otherwise better deals elsewhere.

Great staff, clean room, old crappy carpet made allergies flare up with the AC on and blowing the air around.

It’s not so clean place

I was happy to find this well kept hotel located near my son's apartment. The room was very clean - and I am picky! The staff were incredibly friendly and polite, the breakfast, although not "healthy" was a welcome morning option rather than yet another restaurant! The breakfast staff were very efficient, refilling and cleaning. I was definitely impressed with this little hotel!

Neighborhood is commercial and busy but central. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Lobb and common areas are run down and need a makeover. Bedroom was clean but also in need of refreshing (paint, fixtures, etc).

Bed and bathroom were clean but everything else was worn. The lobby was dirty and the breakfast area not kept clean or well supplied.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so others know what to expect. Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was quite disappointing from the moment we arrived. First of all, the room was not properly cleaned. As soon as we got in, we noticed a couple of body hairs on the floor of the bathroom and inside the tub — clearly left behind from a previous guest. That was really unsettling and made us question the overall cleanliness of the room. To make matters worse, there was no air conditioning in the room. This made our stay very uncomfortable, especially during the warmer parts of the day and night. It felt stuffy and hard to relax or sleep properly. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that it has a good location. It’s close to restaurants, shops, and some main attractions, which made getting around convenient. But unfortunately, that alone doesn’t make up for the lack of basic cleanliness and comfort. For the price we paid, I expected a much better experience. I wouldn’t stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless the hotel addresses these issues seriously.

The areas around the hotel definitely need updated. We had a 2 queen room and it hardly had any room for the 4 of us to move around in - very small and beds made very loud noise when you laid down on them (not to mention very uncomfortable). Very thin/sheer curtain for window you couldn’t close all the way. Staff was however very friendly and kind which we loved.

The room ac/heater unit was horrible. Its a thru the wall unit. It blasts on and off all night, loud, blasting cold air for about 10 mins. at a time, didnt sleep at night due to this.

The room was big and clean. Older carpet but clean room and solid bathroom! I stay in hotels 100+ room nights per year. The bed was top class and I would stay here again for that alone!!!

Chelsea is a great location for restaurants and bars, not far from theaters. This hotel is between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue subways, good bus service on 23rd and the avenues. Hotel staff was professional and friendly. The free breakfast was really pretty good, had the usual toast, bagels, waffle iron, but the scrambled eggs were tender, the cheese omelet was very good. Fresh fruit was limited to oranges and apples. The room was clean and comfortable although the joints in the carpet tiles were coming loose and curling up a little bit. Biggest gripe: The TV remote was wonky, often inoperable. Hotel engineer provided new batteries which seemed to help at first, but moving among channels was a challenge.

This is a conveniently located hotel with many nearby restaurants. The free breakfast was only adequate with frequent shortages of items like eggs. The air conditioning worked well for the hot days in which I stayed there, but the comforter on the bed was much too heavy. Room was OK but internet very slow

Frustrating that the Direct TV continued to freeze. could not even use TV.

Ventilation system was noisy. Finishes and furnishings are dated. Breakfast is basic and low quality. Room rate is high for this level of accommodation. Staff are friendly. Like the mini fridge and medicine cabinet space in the bathroom.

Everything was very good and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The air conditioner in the room needs some adjustment. It was either too cold or too warm and was very loud running.

The room was large enough for two to move around. Nice closet space. Frig, no microwave... Bathroom was clean, except the shower curtain didn't stay stretched across the shower. Noise level was ok. It was NY with sirens all hours. Staff w2as friendly and helpful. Washer & dryer on site!!!

It was super great, comfortable bed and room. The AC was the only issue. It would get a hot at night

When we arrived, they made a security deposit in case there was any damage to the room. The amount was around $130, and they told us it would be refunded within 5 to 10 business days after check-out. It's been a month, and we still haven’t received the money back. I’ve called the hotel twice, and they haven’t been able to help me — the staff was also rude over the phone. The hotel is very expensive and only of average quality, and on top of that, they make extra charges without honoring the refund timelines they mention. Overall, for that price, you can find a better-quality place with better service.

Overall we had a comfortable stay. The first night we checked in, the AC in the room didn’t work which was horrible. They put a loud fan in the room. They switched us out in the morning and the room was good thereafter. The housekeeping staff was great and most of the front desk too except this one lady who checked us in and out. Communication was hard for her but making faces at the customer was easier. She is unfriendly and makes you feel as if you are an inconvenience to her. This job is not well suited for her and I would really want her to find something else. My kudos to the manager on making the customer comfortable and welcome. We liked the location and breakfast options. Would stay here again.

Couldn't be a better location and the staff was amazing!

We stayed twice with friends, three nights in total (4 rooms). All rooms were very clean and spacious. Super comfortable beds. Helpful staff, great coffee and breakfast was a bonus. I read previous reviews about being charged for water that they thought was complimentary however the charge for water was clearly marked in all four rooms and another review about not having any bathroom products however all ours were full in each room also. Check in and out was a breeze. I would stay here again.

Service was great. They will hold your luggage even if your room isn’t ready. Check in is at 3pm, but our room wasn’t ready until 3:20. Elevators were pretty good. Breakfast was on time and really good.

Everything was extremely small. Room, bathroom, breakfast nook. First day of breakfast was ann utter disappointment with almost NOTHING being ready. Worker was having fun in the kitchen giggling with other staff. OH, and apparently their policy on water bottles don’t include the staff keeping inventory as they charged us $6.32 for two bottles of water, which none of us took as those two bottles remained as we checked out. Perhaps someone on the staff is trying to pay for college one bottle at a time. I did call about this and was told it would be investigated. Yeah, ok, whatever. Such pool customer service skills. Will NOT be returning to this thieving hotel.

The hotel is in a good location. There are subway stations close to it. It a good location to explore Manhattan.

Great location and good value for NYC

Such a great spot for getting around key places in NYC! We could walk to Times Square, High Line, and the subway was just a block away. Reliable breakfast, pleasant staff, sizable room for a NYC hotel!

Great location 10 mins walk from empire state building. Subway on 23rd just one block away. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall a super place to explore Manhattan from.

Overall, great stay! The hotel was clean, the staff were all helpful and friendly, and the beds were amazingly comfortable. The only thing that disappointed me was the breakfast. The breakfast itself was good, but the eating area was a little cramped. The serving trays with the food did seem a little too small for the amount of guests. I did find myself waiting "in line" for the next batch of eggs to come out. It is difficult to plan ahead for a number of people to serve because not everyone will attend and you can never anticipate how much one person will eat, but I have seen bigger serving trays at less occupied hotels. The hotel is conveniently located in walking distance of quite a few sites and a couple of subway stations, so moving around was very easy.

I stayed here for two nights (Sunday to Tuesday) and overall quite liked this hotel. My room overlooked 24th street and was quiet and nicely updated. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great (eggs, oatmeal, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt). The location was really convenient to subway and easy walking to many of the places I wanted to visit. Staff were friendly and hard working.

We like the location. It is walkable to Time Square. We did not like the hotel. It is old, slow elevators. It has 20 floors, but there is none working ice machine on any floor, except the 1st floor. The breakfast was very limited options. The 1st day was poor, but okay. The 2nd day, at 9am, there was no fruits, no yogurt, no juice, no milk, no toast, no eggs. The only things we had were cereals and waffles, but there was only one waffle maker and the line was very long.

Breakfast area and the breakfast let it down considerably for all guests as bfast was constantly running out not maintained and seating area and help yourself area is a shambles fir eating not fit for purpose

Our accessible room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The hotel overall is not in top condition. The shower was almost impossible to use except as hand-held. There are just two small elevators. Breakfast was truly awful. The only bread item was sliced white loaf. I couldn't swallow the potatoes. The front desk staff were mostly friendly, but here is one very simple suggestion: when a guest arrives to check in, no matter how important whatever you're doing on your phone is, just look up, smile and say "I'll be with you in just a minute." We usually stay at another hotel on the same block, and I think I'll go back there next time. The rooms are a bit smaller, but the staff are super helpful and at least you can get a bagel and a decent cup of coffee for breakfast. Which, for $500 a night, isn't really asking too much.

Free breakfast only if you got there very early. Most items ran out and were not replenished by 8 am. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly and pleasant. Hotel is dated.

Overall good value. Room was very clean. Good location. I'd like to see bathrooms stocked with two ply paper vs. the silk transparent 1ply joke they stock them with, but that's just my preference. Breakfast was ...offered. Good to have that as an option, but temper your expectations.

Great location, right next to a subway station and very close to other stations if needed. Very clean and modern room, has all the necessities you need and if not you can easily ask for it. Coffee/tea, hot water and cold water are available 24/7 which we absolutely loved. Breakfast was standard but they have a waffle maker which is great
