Fantastic position nr Wall Street and nr Fulton St Subway. Nice hotel, clean, quiet and great service. A little tired around the edges but nothing too bad and would stay again. Very comfy beds and great for the price considering its NY. A kettle and tea/ coffee would have been nice. Recommended.

Rooms are cozy & comfortable and layout was just right for a couple like us with no kids. All the staff were considerate and accommodating. There is valet parking and uber stops right in front of the hotel. Gild also has a restaurant with in room dining option, a bar and coffee refreshments in the lobby. Will definitely include in our list of fave hotels in NY

Loved the hotel the room was beautiful decorated and the bed was amazingly comfy my only complaint would be the lack of tea making facilities in the room I love a cup of tea

Quiet boutique property with good sized rooms and the excellent Felice restaurant and bar. The property is a short walk from the restaurants and events of NYC Seaport.

Room: For an upmarket hotel this was not a good experience. The room itself might as well be a Red Roof or Laquinta, so nothing special and also very small. Beyond real glassware for drinking, a minibar filled with overpriced drinks and a selection of overpriced snacks, plus no tea/coffee making facilities or a microwave. Essentially, no big difference to a cheap motel and no big woop either. Customer Service: The front desk tells you nothing beyond taking ID, payment and handling over key cards. How about letting guests know their room key is needed to work the elevator, or that there's no coffee/tea making facilities in your room. On that subject - Called down to get a coffee maker, including requesting regular and decaf but they only brought regular and they were all froo-froo flavoured stuff. Yuck! To add insult to injury, the coffee maker didn't work so called down again and was told a replacement would be coming up, but it never showed up (30 min later) before leaving for dinner and a show. No coffee! We returned later and recalled the front desk, because they didn't replace the coffee maker arranged earlier. Response... let me see if I can find another one. Some 15 mins later another maker shows up, so then rementioned wanting regular (unflavoured) coffee and decaf. Response... we don't have access to any of that. Still no coffee! In summary: If a supposed upscale hotel this was awful and nothing like their posting, we'll never stay at a Thompson Hotel ever again.

Great location and nicely appointed rooms. The elevators were often slow or not functioning well, but overall, I would definitely stay there again.

Great stay. Good location and very convenient. We loved the vibe of the hotel and the service. Our only call-out is that there was only one working elevator and took a bit of time to get down to the lobby. Nevertheless, so glad we stayed here.

Everything was awesome except for the prices of the in-room beverages and snacks. Seems to me depending on the room there should be some complimentary alcoholic drinks and some kind of snacks 🤔 Premium suites at least.

Always my first choice to stay for work. Have stayed multiple times and will continue. Staff is so nice, bar and restaurant are a great option, rooms are clean and well maintained. No complaints, except when it’s sold out!

Our go to hotel in NYC. Located in FiDi and very close to several subway stations to get you anywhere in Manhattan/Brooklyn. Walkable to many places (Battery Park, Oculs, China Town/Little Italy, Soho). The staff treat you like family and this is a dog friendly hotel. Small boutique hotel (but a Hyatt property) that has a great vibe and decor (not your boring rooms/lobby).

Great property, perfect location. But what made our stay great is the staff. The friendliest front desk people, great warm vibe and quick and efficient service. Would stay again for sure!

Easy check-in and welcoming from the staff and management. The hotel is walking distance from the Fulton station and the new seaport! Our room was spacious, very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We loved our stay and will be back!

Bartender and front desk staff were excellent. Nice greeting and check out process. Good location. Room decor is a bit tired and could have been cleaner - especially the doors and walls.

The hotel has a wonderful ambience and style. The room is extremely clean and very nicely decorated that gives you a unique feeling not that you’re in an ordinary hotel. We dined at the restaurant for dinner and the food was excellent and the waitstaff was friendly and prompt. What set the hotel apart for us though, was the outstanding hotel staff, they were extremely friendly and accommodating, and made our stay very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and will most certainly return for another stay.

I paid for my hotel room weeks ago via Expedia. Upon arrival, I checked in for one night on Saturday, December 7th around 8am. I spoke to the woman at the front desk and asked for an early check in. She took my card, made me aware of the incidental fee, and returned my card. I thought everything was fine and I went on to do what I needed to do. Sunday morning I checked my bank account as I always do and noticed I was missing a significant amount of money. I noticed 3 additional charges from the Gild Hotel. I went down to the front desk to ask what the charges were (and to let them know there was what appeared to be blood stains on the sheets) and the gentleman behind the desk called for the manager, Dalila. Dalila came and explained at first that she could not see what the charge was for. I made her aware that I understood the one charge was for the incidental fee, but there were 2 additional charges that should not be there. In an extremely condescending tone, she told me that it’s “not a big deal,” and that she was trying to explain to me what the charges are (even though she did not know). Berating me, she smirked and kept interrupting me as I was trying to explain to her that one charge was too specific of a number to simply be a mistake and that something was wrong.

Had a great stay on a recent business trip. The staff was incredibly welcoming and genuine. The rooms are quite spacious by NYC standards and the location was great. Walking distance to a lot of great spots. My only advice is don't get a room in close proximity to the elevator... you can hear the mechanics clinging and banging at all hours of the day when they're in use. Otherwise, the room was clean, bed was very comfy, and there was room to move.

This is a nice hotel. I stayed in a king room, which was decently sized as far as NYC hotels to. The bathroom had a tub and shower curtain nstead of a walk-in shower. Such fixtures make rooms, no matter how nice, look old fashioned.

The Gild is a beautiful hotel. The comfortability of the rooms along with the overall look of the esthetics was top tier. Hands down one of my favorite hotels to stay at when I'm in NY.

Elizabeth at the front desk was super friendly and helpful when checking us in. She went above and beyond. Our room was perfect. Very nice size for the price in New York City. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our second time staying at Gild Hall. We like everything about it except for the temperature in the room. It was hot during both stays and I can't understand why the rooms are set for 73 degrees. We used the fan and eventually turned the system off but it never got cool.

Great hotel at the price point. Staff were so friendly and sweet! The hotel room was surprisingly quite large for NYC! I really enjoyed the location as it was a walkable distance to the subway and many great restaurants. It is located on a quiet street, although I can hear people from outside or the other room… some sounds not the most pleasant…. But I feel like this is expected for many hotels in big cities so not necessarily a con… Overall I would stay here again and would recommend it! Thank you for having us ❤️❤️❤️

Our stay was wonderful from the beginning. Check-in was friendly and prompt. Our room was clean and comfortable. All necessary amenities were available. Had breakfast one morning at Felice and it was delicious. Every single staff member we interacted with was pleasant and accommodating. Great place to stay and I would definitely return!

The staff at the Gild are excellent! The building is in very good condition, the surrounding areas is in the process of renovation. Great location.

Property and staff were phenomenal! Robert was extremely friendly, professional, and made our stay 10x better. Everyone made us feel so welcome from the start and ensured our needs were exceeded. I will definitely be returning to Gild Hall within the next 6 months!

Hidden fees not good "resort fees of 40 dollars per day" staff told me parking would 60 but they change to 75. They try to milk a dollar out of u anyway they can like there going bankrupt. Took too long to bring car out 30 minutes only one guy working. No empathy or care for guest concerns.

Super happy with this property. The staff was very welcoming and constantly checked up on us to see if we needed anything. I particular shout-out to Elizabeth who checked us in and was particularly kind after a long day of travel. This is a small, boutique hotel, the room was spacious and clean and the Italian restaurant on the first floor is delicious and handy. Gild Hall is within walking distance of many attractions, and there are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and even a full grocery store near by. Highly recommended. Will return.

Once complaint was we participated in the Thanksgiving day parade and when we came back to get our bags and have lunch - the front desk said they couldn't provide us a couple of towels to dry off. That's just bad and lazy service for paying guests.

I liked the fact that my room was very spacious.The hotel was also very quiet over the weekend. I didn’t appreciate that they charge you to use the glasses & cups in the guest rooms. The hotel is in the financial district so it’s far away from most of the things that I was doing. But again I really liked the bigger room.

Small boutique hotel owned by Hyatt that is a gem. The staff is outstanding (you get to know them), the decor unique (not your usual hotel) with quiet rooms. Also dog friendly (no size limitation and you can keep in crate). FiDi is now an active area with restaurants all around. Several subway stops 5-10 minute walk and very easy to get an Uber. Only a 10 minute walk to Southstreet Seaport, the 9/11 Memorial. You can hit Chinatown/Little Italy with a 30 minute walk. Battery Park (to catch ferry to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island) a 15-20 minute walk. Great value in NYC.

Really enjoyed our stay only complaint is if you get breakfast included the waitstaff in the restaurant basically ignore you. I assume this is because there is no Bill and therefore- no tip. My advice- forgo the breakfast upgrade and just order it.

So far room is nice and a/c works great. Lots of construction in the area. Restaurant next door is wonderful and food fantastic. Hotel is unique but really nice and quaint. Will come again on our next cruise.

The hotel was perfect. Nicely appointed, clean, sizable rooms with a restaurant attached. Breakfast each day was very good, but a bit pricey for the smaĺl portions received. Location was perfect for our walks thru Manhattan. Uber very quickly accessible for the theater and events in Brooklyn including the high line. Would recommend the hotel to family and friends. Most definitely would stay at this hotel again.

Loved the feel of the hotel, charming and interesting. Rooms are not large, but it is New York! Great food in the restaurant and easy to get around.
