Excellent updated older high end hotel with large rooms and superior staff. Bed and room was very comfortable. Bistango Italian on property was good with great service again. Very close to subway. Have stayed at numerous nice hotels in the city, this maybe our favorite.

Good location, clean rooms and helpful reception and concierge staff. However, the rooftop bar was pointless. Every time we went up there they were either closed, wouldn’t let you in or there was no staff. On the one occasion we did manage to get in, staff were rude and dismissive. Reception staff also had no idea what was going on up there, and just claimed they had nothing to do with them. Sounds like excuses to me.

I spent four nights at the Kimberly after researching hotels close to Grand Central. I booked a king suite and the room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff was gracious and accommodating. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family as a nice option in Midtown.

The employees at the Kimberly were 5 star! The room was large and had a cool balcony but smelled like chemical cleaning supplies, the stink was eye watering. The couch was soaked as someone washed right before we arrived. We enjoyed the space but expected just a little more.

I checked in at 7pm and my room was dirty with a full can of garbage and water splashed around the sink. To top it all off, one of the rooms under my reservation the AC was not working at all and it was 85 degrees that day. I had reservations for a bachelorette that I had to attend to soon after checking in and did not have time to deal with a new room and I called the desk to express my concerns and received no remorse. When I followed up with an email, I was told the engineer “checked” the AC unit and there were no issues. So basically they are saying we made it up and chose to sweat all night. Offered no reimbursement and instead insulted me by offering me a free drink when I don’t even live in NYC.

Loved our stay at The Kimberly Hotel for these reasons: 1. Probably the most spacious 1 bedroom suite I have ever seen in NYC! 2. Loved having a refrigerator, microwave, dishes, dishwasher to eat inside if we were tired of eating out 3. Great location in midtown, walk to subway, buses, 5th avenue 4. Nice amenities- bottled water, coffee and snacks from 11-4. 5. Staff and doorman pleasant and helpful!

This hotel is gorgeous. The suite was spacious and furnished nicely. The bed was super comfy. My biggest complaint would be the shower. It was very difficult to figure out. I do wish there was some seating on the balcony to enjoy it more.

The room was so spacious and in pristine condition. Checked in to the hotel and was given a room on the 7th floor. Unfortunately there was only a view of the building next to us. I called and asked if I could pay to upgrade to a room with a view. He let me know that they were fully booked, but he would try. He called me to let me know he found one on the 27th floor with a wonderful view at no charge. The rooftop bar was a nice way to end our evenings as well, with great cocktails.

In general this is a great hotel. Clean and comfortable with large rooms and helpful staff. They really need to upgrade the soundproofing of the windows though. The first night we were awake all night with sirens, horns and construction noise. We used ear plugs after that and it was bearable but if you want quiet, choose somewhere else.

We had a one bedroom suite for a family of 4. It was lovely to have the space. The sofabed was spacious enough for our children. The location of the hotel was great for walking around Midtown and also for the subway to get downtown. Hotel staff were really polite and friendly. We had dinner at Bistango on the first night. It was nice all items on the menu could be made gluten free. We found the portions quite small though, so we definitely needed 4 main meals for the 4 of us, whereas when we went to the New York Luncheonette next door we only needed 3 mains between us. The hotel only has single glazing on its windows which means we could hear the road noise even on the 20th floor. We looked out on to 50th Street, and with the police precinct on 51st Street, we could hear all the sirens - late at night and early in the morning. We also heard the constant hooting by impatient New York drivers as well. The air conditioning unit was also loud so we couldn't really leave it on overnight. New York was unseasonally warm (26C) at the end of October, so the combination of the thick duvet, warm room and noisy air con meant that we didn't really sleep well during our 6-night stay.

Every aspect of the stay was exemplary, from the spacious room to every staff member with whom we interacted: Standouts include MD, Max, and every doorman. They were fun, helpful and polite. Right when we walked in, the front desk was super friendly and informative. Asking about our trip and offering services that might enhance our visit. We loved the doormen who were very friendly, helpful and remembered who we were. The room was full of amenities, everything we would need and very clean. We absolutely loved the classic beauty of this hotel, rooftop bar was so fun. This will definitely be our Hotel for NYC!

The Kimberly Hotel exceeded all expectations. An absolute amazing experience from the moment our doorman opened the car door for us, to the moment we entered our hotel room, to The Upstairs bar for nightcaps, to brunch the following morning and then our departure with the kindness and attention the bellman and doorman showed us. There was not a detail not taken care of. This was our first time there and everyone we encountered treated us like we were old time friends / guests. I can’t remember if I have experienced a hotel staff like this. I can’t wait to return!!!

Over all beautiful hotel. Amazing housekeeping staff. So friendly and thorough. We just feel that some of the front desk staff was unorganized and not as friendly as they could be. We had packages delivered and they couldn’t find it and didn’t feel receptive or helpful. BUT, two young ladies who checked us in on the 30th early afternoon were fantastic. Please commend them for exceptional service that day and the following days. The door staff were fantastic and the young man who carried our bags up was stellar. Bravo. Over all good hotel and walking distance to great restaurants and shopping.

LOved our beautiful 2 room apt. Lovely old decor in great condition. Check in was a nightmare. We arrived at 2 and they said to come back at 3. Killed an hour and returned at 3 to a long line that didn't move. They had a new computer system and they didn't know what they were doing. Took until 4:15 to get in our room. We missed our afternoon entry into museum. Things happen, but show some resepect....give us a breakfast or a glass of wine to compensate. Do something to show the customer that you care. The staff was trying but they had no support. A manager should have been present.

Perfect location for our transportation needs both public and taxi. Neighborhood packed with excellent restaurants, shopping, grocery stores. The friendly staff is the best. The hotel is elegant but not too big or flashy. It’s our preferred home in NYC whenever we visit.

I thought the hotel and the rooms had so much character and were so interesting in the architecture and design. And it is really perfectly located. Easy to walk to the theaters for shows and it was easy to run down to Central Park to get some runs in. And a subway stop is right around the corner.

The Kimberly Suites was in an excellent location. Ten minutes walk to 5th avenue and the Rockerfella centre, 15 minutes to Central Park. There is a subway station 2 minutes away as well. Rooms were spacious and clean, and had a fridge, microwave, coffee machine. The rooftop bar looks out to the Chrysler building, but is expensive. The staff were excellent, special shout out to Harry the doorman who was awesome.

Great location. Its walkable to the popular tourist sites, but far away enough to be not as congested and noisy at night. The updated rooms kept the nice old charm and are quite large, especially for downtown New York. All the staff we encountered were very nice and helpful except for a waitress in the rooftop bar, which was unfriendly. We had to chase her down twice, 15 minutes apart, to ask for our tab. There was only 1 other group in our area and we had to pay at the bar. No apologies were given. She just took payment from my wife and walked away. If it wasn't for her being a sour puss, we would of had a great experience. The DJ played a great track. The breakfast staff and the breakfast, on the rooftop patio, were very nice!

Great hotel for a long family weekend! We ate at Bistango for lunch and dinner; dinner at Empire steakhouse and enjoyed breakfast in the penthouse 3x! Food was great and dining in allowed us to maximize sightseeing with our granddaughters. I highly recommend!

Our first time at the Kimberly Hotel and we had a great memorable experience! Staff was very welcoming and went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. Rooftop breakfast was fun while celebrating my son’s birthday. Great views of NYC too. The Italian restaurant downstairs was very good and staff was also very attentive. Great location on the east side with lots of shops and places to see. Central Park zoo is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Kimberly hotel. Perfect location in Midtown East Manhattan that is walkable to Times Square, the MOMA, and several other desirable locations. The staff is friendly and timely, The suites are spacious, and the room service is quick and tasty.

The room was much larger than we expected and suited the 4 of us very well. Property has two restaurants, we ate at Bistango and the food was delicious. After dinner drinks in the penthouse (top floor) made for a great end of the evening for us.
