The hotel staff is attentive, smooth, charming, and beyond professional. It’s location could not be more convenient to Central Park and all surrounding points of interest. We were able to have our car handled easily by the hotel for our stay, and being able to bring our dog made staying at The Sherry even better. This is an experience. Not just a stay. We’ll be back. A classic property with history and charm. We enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the experienced and professional staff. All upscale with a taste of a bygone era which we found very special. Harry’s Cipriani was wonderful.

Excellent location within walking distance to museums, dining, Broadway, shopping and Central Park. We did use taxi service for convenience and speed. The hotel staff treated us excellent. Room service was timely and good. The room was very clean. Being very picky here, the chairs in the living area needed to be updated. The seat cushions had to be flipped often as the interior padding was crushed.The hotel is old yet maintained with most of the rooms used for residents.

BAD: There was large scale construction going on to the upper floor private residences. There was a very audible THUD THUD coming from a facilities closet two doors away from my suite. It was heard between 8AM to 9 PM when I was in the room. There was audible humming AC mechanical equipment below the room located on the NE corner and 5 floors below. Ear plugs were necessary to sleep. Otherwise quiet. GOOD: Location, location, location. Staff was wonderful. Comfortable bed and living room in my suite. Kitchenette had all you would need if you actually wanted to do very minor cooking.

This is an odd hotel. Maybe the best location in NYC. An old school place with doormen and elevator operators but little else. Maybe the worst bed I have slept in in a hotel. This is by far the best hotel I have ever visited in NYC. The level of service is like nothing I have ever experienced - the staff is amazing, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The entire hotel is beautiful, spotless and quiet. If you can stay here, do! You won't be disappointed.

This is a cool historical hotel and the location right across the street from the park is fantastic. It’s a bit past its prime but the lingering grandeur from its heyday is still present here and there. Our room was very small and “interior” - which means we had a close up of the brick exterior of the building next door as the only view from our window. I gave 4 stars as the room and condition of the hotel did not quite match the price but perhaps it’s location location location. We also ordered room service for dinner and breakfast from Ciprianis and it was excellent (chicken was really great). We wouldn’t mind staying here again but would definitely try an alternative in the same location if the price was better.

This is a cool historical hotel and the location right across the street from the park is fantastic. It’s a bit past its prime but the lingering grandeur from its heyday is still present here and there. Our room was very small and “interior” - which means we had a close up of the brick exterior of the building next door as the only view from our window. I gave 4 stars as the room and condition of the hotel did not quite match the price but perhaps it’s location location location. We also ordered room service for dinner and breakfast from Ciprianis and it was excellent (chicken was really great). We wouldn’t mind staying here again but would definitely try an alternative in the same location if the price was better.

The Sherry is a great hotel in a wonderful location. Staff is extremely friendly. We'd leave in the morning to go for breakfast and place the room service sign on the door. When we'd return an hour or so latter, the room had been cleaned and made up. Wonderful service including personal touches. Hand-written notes, welcoming gift and fresh flowers. A wonderful stay.

The rooms are large and well decorated. Beds are so comfy! They provide all coffee, water, newspapers that you’d like. Fresh flowers and chocolate are there when you check in. Great fitness room.
