Room was clean, however a few things to note - Furniture is a little dated and due for update. Tub was fine although it needs to be slip proofed for those of us who are seniors and need to be extra careful about falls ( definitely a potential liability issue for hotel). Breakfast was good and water view was a bonus. Overall, it was a charming place ( albeit older), off the beaten path of hotel row along Route 9 in Poughkeepsie.

I’m not sure what’s going on with this hotel lately. I stayed here last week and again last night, and both times the lobby and breakfast area had no heat—it was freezing. This morning there was also no hot water for a shower. The front desk attendant said she fixed it, but that didn’t help me when I needed to get to work. This used to be my go-to hotel in the Poughkeepsie area, but unfortunately that’s no longer the case.
