It was difficult to check in, a small lobby that was filled with people waiting. In my room, the toilet was backed up, there was a used bar of soap still in the shower. The property outside itself was dirty with garbage, cigarette butts everywhere, and beer cans. I will not stay at this particular location again. Especially for the price of the room that I paid for. The only bright spot was the gentleman at the service counter. It seemed like he was the only one working the entire building.

The sheets had stains and the towel had a blood stain on it. It took over 15 minutes for someone to recognize we were trying to check in and there is sign saying they will be back in 10 min all the time. Very not clean and loud.

Felt unsafe lots of folks knocking at the doors all on the floor talking about drugs and slamming the fire escape door all evening.

The owners of the property rent rooms to what appears is a homeless shelter. The first night we arrived, there were four police cars in front and more officers taking info from one of the homeless guests that had been beaten. The breakfast was descent, but I will likely stay elsewhere the next trip to Saugerties.
