While staff were friendly and professional, the elevator was broke, so we had to carry all bags up and down from the hotel room; the room’s cleanliness was subpar, there was damage to parts of the door and interior walls, there was a broken spring in the bed, and it smelled of marijuana inside a non-smoking facility. Additionally, we wanted to use the computer in the business center, but it wasn’t even powered on and had no computer mouse to operate it. We definitely don’t feel comfortable to come back again.

No water in pool and gate was not locked-safety hazard for kids. Trash blowing around in parking lot. The first bedbug I have seen in a hotel. Front desk personnel wearing pajama bottoms. Maintenance man wearing a cut-off wife beater shirt. Elevator broken .3rd floor emergency door broken. Carpets dirty. Ice machine broken-no ice. Bars on house windows across street. Card swiped to secure 3rd floor entry door ripped out of wall. No cups in room. No coffee in room. Shower handle broken in shower. I should have just left and abandoned the room and gone somewhere else and ate the fee. I found the bedbug in the morning. Must spray my bags. Other than theses defect items???

I think the value for this place is good however there are basic things missing. In the room there was no iron, hair dryer, or storage space/closet. These are basics in even the smallest hotels. There also isn’t a phone so if you need something like extra towels or pillows you have to go to the office. Facility was clean but also undergoing repairs/renovations.

Driving up to the property the grounds need updated looks worn out. Parking spaces are tight and Parking grounds look deteriorated. The rooms looked dated, the furniture is dated. Found hair in the bedding when linens were pulled back. The bathroom shower was dingy and I saw mold in the under creases of the shower walls. No where for more than one person to sit without sitting on the bed. Had one chair to sit in. Towels and wash clothes were dingy mismatched. Workout facility tv monitors didn't work , remote didn't work. Breakfast area was decent but menu was very minimal. Served a lot of carbs but coffee was good. Hallway carpet needs updated smells damp. Staff was friendly.

The elevator was disgustingly gross and does not properly work. Opens up too slow when you come down the second floor to get the first. At first I thought we were stuck in the elevator. In the room the bed was very uncomfortable, doors needed fixed. The coffee machine was not cleaned. The jetted tub looked so old. Looks like they used house paint to try and make it look good once. It was so old looking. It did work though.

I came to the area for a conference. The lobby was lovely, and the outside felt safe. The staff was pleasant. The room was nice, with the exception of the cleanliness of the room.. This room should have been looked over better. I would have given the hotel a better review if the cleanliness were better. There was an eyelash by my telephone cord. I had to clean the coffee pot seven times and there was still stuff coming out of it. Therefore, I did not use it. I could also see right through my towel. In addition, I used the elevator on my way in and it sounded questionable. I wanted to use the elevator on the way out but it was then out of order. The bar/restaurant next door had a band. It was louder for a Friday evening, but I used a sound machine to block the noise. I generally, don't write poor reviews but feel it was necessary this time. Some minor fixes could make this a nicer place to stay.

I know this is a limited thing but the construction on the roof was very annoying and didn't seem to be too safe. There was trash and construction junk all over the place and the fact we were there on a weekend but they were still doing work was disappointing.

The room was absolutely disgusting. Mold and hair in the bathroom. Also blood on the sheets that clearly hadn't been washed. Talked to the AGM who witnessed everything but she referred us to the GM who never returned our call or replied to our email. Completely unacceptable and blood on the sheets is dangerous. Very unhappy that we chose this property.

The people were nice. Hotel is super outdated. It is a Baymont and a Super 8 connected together; with a marquee that reads “NEWLY UPDATED ROOMS” Not even close. I didn't take pictures because we left at 5:00. There was mold around the grout of the tub. We both woke up around 4:30 am to pounding headaches; presumably from the mold and decided to leave. We went out to smoke before packing and leaving and when we came back in we saw a cockroach. Lesson learned. We will not be back.

The room smelled like smoke/body odor/sweat/possibly cat urine. The bathtub has black mold in it. Bathroom didn't appear clean. The fridge was dirty and slimy. The bedspread had blood spots on it. The photo of the room on the site didn't match the room we got. I was going to wash clothes but there was chunks of food in the washer, gross and dirty. Definitely not worth the amount of money we paid to stay.

I am so upset me and my kids were visiting Akron we ended up sleeping in my car because the room they gave us was filthy I’m talking dirty towels in the bathroom hair in the tub toilet clogged and leaking in the back some kinda residue on the covers with finger prints, the then gave us another room that had bed bugs it was crazy I was promised a full refund from the front desk girl since we were there all of 20 minutes but was later denied due to the hotel not answering Expedias phone calls please do not book with these nasty people they don’t care if you have small children with you or not as long as your spending your hard earned money on their disgusting rooms

We were at the property for about 10 minutes. The first room we went in was filthy! We went back to the front desk and asked for a different room. They gave us keys to another room without even asking why. We got to our second room and there were still dirty washcloths hanging in the bath. We checked out immediately after that. Again the front desk didn’t even ask why. It’s like they already knew that the hotel was filthy! We will never book there again!

The biggest issue with the room was that one of the two beds squeaked very loudly with the slightest pressure. It truly sounded like a clown car honking. I told the front desk about it when we checked out, but we knew nothing could be done during our stay as the hotel was booked (in fact the whole area was booked) because of the eclipse.

Mixed reviews on this stay. The staff were helpful and very friendly. I liked that the floors in the room were solid surface instead of carpet. The layout was nice. However, we also had some major issues. The biggest two were that the shower head and the beds. The shower head in our bathroom was moldy - like really moldy. It was pretty gross. Also, the beds were extremely noisy. Anytime anyone moved through the night it set off a whole cacophony of creaking. In addition, the bathroom door would not shut, the mattresses were hard as bricks, the reservation was for two queen size beds but the beds were definitely fulls, and there was a bottle of KY left on a shelf. Overall, it was a place to sleep for the night with a really good price. Not sure that we will be back.

The room looked like it was recently remodeled, except for the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, except when you sat down on it or rolled over quickly...then it sounded like sheet metal bending, and then it would make the noise again when you got up. Overall, I would stay here again based on price and location.

Under remodeling. Hallway to the elavator is dark in color and lighting. King bed was like sleeping on a box spring. Great location among restaurants. The chairs in the dining area had stiletto legs which fell through the floor grate with my spouse sitting on it.

This hotel shares a building with the Super 8. That would have been good to know. Literally the same hotel but with two separate entrances. The tub was worse for wear, very gross looking. Didn’t discuss with staff because it wasn’t so much a cleanliness issue as it just needs to be replaced. Paid online but still had to put down a deposit. Staff was pretty friendly. Overall this place needs to be updated pretty bad.

Could be the timing of our stay but seemed a bit overpriced for what it was. For instance the lamp was broken in our room and the sheets were stained and threadbare. It’s fine and gets the job done but wouldn’t stay here again.

Didn’t notice any room service except for one when I pretty much stayed in the room, but never saw dirty towels taken out or bed made. Way too much noise on upper floor, woke me up several times each night. There wasn’t much of a breakfast selection compared to other locations or even other chains.

Initial room did not have a working deadbolt. There was a middle aged man pacing the hallway outside of a couple rooms very unnervingly. Asked to be moved to a safer room/situation and after some insisting, was able to move to a different room type. (Was initially told the hotel was full and then a room suddenly appeared) While in new room, “manager” knocks on door at 10:00 at night. Does not announce who he is and starts asking questions about a noise being reported. I had to ask who he was and said he was the manager but he did not even have any badge or name tag or anything. Flashed a key fob and said he was the manager”. To this moment, I can’t be certain he was actually a manager of the hotel. Needless to say, no rest was had. It was an absolute disappointment. I’ve never had a more uncomfortable stay at a hotel anywhere.

Tv remote would not work. Went to desk to ask for batteries and the lady tossed two batteries at me said here you go. Needless to say those where dead also. Second floor noise was a issue also. Worse than someone walking with heels. Overall okay stay but future price better be better or on to next place to stay.

Where do I start? The comforter was covered in cigarette burns and what appeared to be bodily fluids! There were 2 bathmat towels to use as towels. We have to use them twice as there are no more towels, blankets or pillows available in the hotel. We had to make 4 trips to the front desk to ask for these items because they won't answer the phone. They gave us torn sheats to and a paper thin blanket to replace our disgusting bedding. The bathroom was disgusting. There were public hairs all over the shower curtain the tolit and the shampoo and conditioner dispenser that was 2 shampoos by the way. The sink is closed shut won't open to drain and the TV remote didn't work. Worst hotel stay of my entire life

Property could use some updates/repairs. There were several cosmetic issues with our room, but did not affect our stay. Ceiling had paint chipping off over the shower, shower and tub were showing signs of age making it appear dirty, there were gouges in the floor making it appear dirty. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, but it will work in a pinch. The property is quiet and staff was very friendly. Several good dining choices within walking distance. We stayed one night, to attend a nearby concert. It did the job for the money.

Room was clean, property was clean. Bathroom had a leaky faucet, and the plaster on the ceiling looked like it was going to fall. Breakfast was toast and cereal. Thats it. Don't advertise Breakfast if its that.
