Surprisingly had a refrigerator and microwave which was nice, but the floors, fridge, toilet, and bathtub were all dirty or stained. Room smelled like cigarette smoke and now so do all my belongings. Another in the lobby complained of non draining bathtub. Key stopped working and lobby was locked with no attendant mid-day. Bad area in general-felt unsafe.

I didn't like the $100 security hold that I won't get back for a week. Also the elevator did not work when the desk person said it did. The stairs were covered in some kind of liquid. And it was filthy overall. The only good thing was inside the room. And we did not feel safe

While the room itself was okay, the hotel property is dingy and dirty. The staff needs customer service training. They are argumentative and excuse makers. I got the impression that they did not want to rent rooms.

Really run down property, in side and out. Workmen and maids who clearly are not professionals. There was a ladder on the third floor walkway ( where my second room was) Saturday evening when I returned to my room, still there Sunday morning when I left, with lightbulbs loose on the floor at its base. First room was not clean, two hours later I was given another room that was barely acceptable in cleanliness, and the TV did not work. The desk staff was lovely, but I will never stay there again, it was awful.

It’s not the most attractive place to stay. The exterior of the building is in rough shape and dirty, but the rooms were okay. The rooms look like they were remodeled at some point in the last few years unlike the exterior. When we first arrived, we were pretty concerned about the stay due to how sketchy and unattractive the exterior looks. We asked the employee at the front desk if we could take a look at the rooms before we fully committed to the stay, and they were very understanding of it and without a second thought, showed us the two rooms. Considering the price we paid, I expected more from this property, but it was the only choice we had for last minute booking that was within our budget. The hotel doesn’t provide free breakfast but there are multiple diners and stores surrounding the building. The bathroom in our bedroom was not very clean, the toilet bowl had not been brushed well and the shower liner was very stained and looked like it hadn’t been replaced in who knows how long. The toilet itself didn’t flush well, we kept having to flush multiple times in order for waste to fully flush down. It seems like getting that fixed would save the hotel money in the long run. I give this property a 3/5 mostly due to the customer service. All of the employees at the front desk were very kind. I really hope they’re being compensated appropriately because I witnessed multiple customers treat them poorly and they fought back with kindness - good for them!

I booked with you in plenty of time. When I arrived the room for me was dirty( found by the front desk not me) I ended up waiting almost an hour going multiple choices before they gave me a newly remodeled room. The front desk people were very nice, but they said a lot of rooms were undergoing remodeling and not available. Whoever owns this hotel is clearly dropping the ball- it needs a lot of attention.

The rust stains in the bathtub are disgusting. The gouge in the floor near the TV should be repaired. The "smoke alarm" was a pair of loose wires coming out of a hole in the wall. The heat wasn't working. The deadbolt sticks so that you have to fiddle with the handle to eb able to close the door.

Red Roof Our child is having *surgery* at akron childrens tomorrow AND: I will be contacting the franchise to tell them how they are being represented. I could leave a review with negative stars, I certainly would!! Room 122. I booked a DELUX room with a crib. Holy cow!!!! If this room is a deluxe, I'm a millionaire. When we checked in, there were 3 bookings ahead of us demanding different rooms because of what they got vs. what they booked. The pictures on the website are a total bait and switch! The door has been kicked in, there isn't a garbage can. The sheets and comorters???!!!!! OMD they are stained and cigarette burned! How can that be though since it's a non smoking room?? It smells of amonia (cat) and cigarette smoke! There is brown sticky stuff on the fire sprinkler and bathroom light. There's mold in the tub and the roof, the walls have sort of been repaired where the holes are. There is dirt and a dead bug at the base of the dresser There's some pretty sketchy people in the rooms next to us who are living out of their car. I understand being down on your luck but it's not even dark yet and my skin is crawling from the filth and I just can't wait to see what drama comes about tonight. I will update review then.

Pros: -Nice check-in staff -Heater works great -1st pet stays Free and second is $15 a night Cons: -Smells like someone chain smoked cigarettes in the room - got switched and it still smelled horribly like cigs...even after spraying perfume all over. So it's not a Smoke Free environment! -Staff tried gaslighting us saying it doesn't smell like cigs/they were just in the room -No microwave plate -Tv didn't work -Cig burns in the sheets -Dirty, a lot of trash under the bed, floor piece was missing -Sink didn't work at all & dirty toilet -Cars kept circling the building and it felt very unsafe Was honestly very upset with this stay and will never recommend it to anyone.

This property is so ran down. You can tell it meth infested due to the locals whonuse this property as home. The blankets had cigarette holes in them the sheets had stains there was holes in the wall and mold in the showers. I had my room changed and it was even worst. They out me in the handicap room and it was so bad the mold that is in the corners over the shower was just beyond me. Cant believe the owners keep it like this.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel is genuinely disgusting. Literally nude people walking on the balconies at night screaming about their drugs they can’t find. Homeless people sleeping behind the hotel. NO TOWELS in the room at all and when I asked for them, the wonderful SUPER NICE receptionist told me they couldn’t get me any because their housekeeping had locked the doors to their linen rooms and that I wasn’t the only one that complained and/or asked for towels. Room was filthy with candy wrappers on the floor of the bathroom with mold growing overhead in the shower. Ended up staying elsewhere though they refused a refund of my stay for the 45 minutes that I was there and checked in.

The room I stayed in had not been cleaned of the soap from the previous guest. There was no shower curtain. The neighbors were loud. There was an odd smell in the room. The only plus was that it was smoke free. One of the worst places I have ever stayed. No wonder it was the only place in the area with an available room.

Bed and towels etc were clean . The room was dirty. Very. Mold around the tub and ceilings. Walls very dirty and floors very sticky. Never took off shoes until going to bed. Would not return to stay here. It was cheap . Guess you get what you pay for.

They won't use your card from your online reservation or just hold your card information without placing an actual charge. Second, in my room, the AC unit made noise when turned up to max but I couldn't feel any air movement. Third, the toilet flushed but nothing ever went down. Lastly, when I arrived to check in I had to wait ten minutes before anybody showed up to run the desk. Nobody was actually in the lobby, the employee came from outside. So, you can be assured that 24 hours surveillance the multiple signs mention is probably top notch.

First three rooms they gave me had people already checked in, the last room they gave me didn’t have a TV and the heat was stuck on 65 degrees, I was tired from an already 9hr drive so I just stayed in that room.

The staff was nice and tried to fix the problems, but the room wasn't done on arrival, check-in 3, and the room wasn't cleaned till 4:23. Then you couldn't call the front desk, you had to go down to the office if you need any assistants. Then there was no Wi-Fi when it was offered on the website when you reserve your room.

The only issue that we had was the bed covers had holes in them and were pretty thin and the towels were very small and ripped. Otherwise the room was clean, no complaints there. We did have to ask for a remote for the TV but the front desk gal brought it right to the room with no issues. The room rate was perfect for a room with a shower and bed, no extras. The hotel itself was very quiet for the night but there was a lot of light that came into the room.

Only one person working check-in on probably the busiest day of the year (Solar Eclipse). Room wasnt ready after we checked in. Over an hour after check-in before we got in the room. Smelled like dog. The bed was probably last replaced when Clinton was president.

I checked into the hotel. The room I booked wasn't available so they "upcharged" me for a room that was available. The TV in the room didn't work. I went back down to the office but there were other customers with problems. I went back to the room and tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work either. I went back to the front desk in the moring and they said they would check the TV and fix it or move me to another room. They didn't fix the TV and did not offer to move me to another room. I had to ask twice. I was finally moved to another room. The rooms are at best OK. The fixtures in the shower in the second room were pulling away from the shower stall. I won't stay here again.

Right off the bat, none of the problems I had or witnessed were the fault of any of the staff. The employees I interacted with were all polite, patient and as helpful as their situation allowed. 10/10 for the staff. The problems I experienced and witnessed all seemed to be directly related to corporate or a franchise owner who is either incapable or unwilling to invest in a computer system update or upgrade. When I arrived there was one person ahead of me trying to check in and another person who kept coming because his key card wouldn't work. The person ahead of me for checking in had clearly been there awhile already and they were waiting on the computer to unfreeze. They have two computers but apparently the staff were locked out of the 2nd one. Eventually they called their help desk for what was apparently the second time that night and got the problem cleared. I was given my room key but when I arrived at the door, I could see the room was already occupied. I went back down to the lobby and told the employee who had just started their shift and had no idea why the room was occupied. While they tried to sort out getting me a new room, a different person came in twice because their room key didn't work. Eventually I was assigned a new room but it didn't have the bed I reserved. I reserved a king but got put in a full with 2 beds. Aside from all of that mess, my stay was fine and I slept comfortably though and little cramped with two of us in a full.

First thing to know, this hotel requires a non-negotiable $100 deposit that is actually charged to your credit card when you check in. They won't use your card from your online reservation or just hold your card information without placing an actual charge. Second, in my room, the AC unit made noise when turned up to max but I couldn't feel any air movement. Third, the toilet flushed but nothing ever went down. Lastly, when I arrived to check in I had to wait ten minutes before anybody showed up to run the desk. Nobody was actually in the lobby, the employee came from outside. So, you can be assured that 24 hours surveillance the multiple signs mention is probably top notch.

These people are thieves, I was overcharged $130 and Siva refuses to give it back until I check out, I've never heard of such BS and been subjected to such incompetence in my life trying to rent a room when I desperately needed one I will never rent from these people or any Red roof inn again

One of the front desk tenants (Joshua) was very rude to me and other guests. He smelt like alcohol. The female handled our situation well after Joshau stood there and argued with me saying that i had already paid even after i checked my bank account. This man really she NOT be working as a front desk tenant. 😒 Thank you to the 2nd shift female employee for handling the situation.

I arrived at 8:30 for a 3:00 check-in, and I was told that it would be a 45-minute wait. Two hours later, I got a room. One bed was stained, the other had a dead bug in it. It took another 30 minutes to get a new room.

When I checked in at 7pm Monday night. I asked for extended checkout. They have me till noon. Tuesday morning I had a knock on my door ordering me to open up, I woke up and told them I asked for extended checkout. Kept banging on the door asking me what am I doing. Told them I'm sleeping. The said they wanted to look in the room to see what I'm doing. Totally unacceptable I'm a contractor, had a job close to red roof, went to work 8pm. Got back to Hotel 7am. Went to bed. Manager was banging on my door saying open the door. I want to see what you are doing in there, I got dressed and opened the door. And have her a piece of my mind. Totally unacceptable

Nothing to rave about. Had to wait until 6:45 to check in. However, it was a very busy day weekend with activities in the area. Also key card didn’t work second day and was reprogrammed. Staff was friendly, bed comfortable, lots of shopping and restaurants close by. Cheapest I could find for the weekend. Don’t like giving $100 deposit up front when checking in. They said I’d get it back in 7-10 days after check out. Maybe this is normal now days?

We checked in at 1 AM. The room provided had not been made up from the previous guest. They were unable to accommodate us and we had to search for another hotel at 1 AM. Their only initial response was that we would have to get a refund through Orbitz. We had to pay more at another property and Red Roof Inn would not pay the difference. They just said we need to apply for a refund.

I checked into the hotel. The room I booked wasn't available so they "upcharged" me for a room that was available. The TV in the room didn't work. I went back down to the office but there were other customers with problems. I went back to the room and tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work either. I went back to the front desk in the moring and they said they would check the TV and fix it or move me to another room. They didn't fix the TV and did not offer to move me to another room. I had to ask twice. I was finally moved to another room. The rooms are at best OK. The fixtures in the shower in the second room were pulling away from the shower stall. I won't stay here again.

It’s a bare bones kinda stay but they maintain the property by making constant repairs and remodeling. The front desk is pleasant and helpful, even when there are minor issues. The location is within walking distance of a Walmart, gas station and restaurants. It’s recommended For the price of stay after driving a distance or working from out of town.

On the way up to our room we noticed trash everywhere. Not to mention the shopping carts on the second floor where our room was. As we were about to get into our room, my son noticed that the room next to us had a broken window. It was at that point we felt unsafe. As we were leaving we noticed police officers in the parking lot adjacent to the hotel, with light on. We did not feel safe.

A police car sat at the entrance to the property both nights. My room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

Room wasnt ready when I arrived at 8 p.m. so have me a different type of room. Someone barged in the room around 11 p.m. because of the front desk giving them a key. Some sketchy things going on in and around the property in regard to some of the guests or people hanging around the property. Your typical lock and load motelsp tread carefully!

I did not even check into this hotel. Upon arrival, I waited for what seemed like forever at the desk. There was screaming and yelling in the parking lot and cops outside. I was not putting my son and I in this environment.

This hotel was quite decent in its price range. I found it perfectly fine and fit what i needed for this particular trip. I am well travelled around the US for the last 40 years, and i have seen a lot of horror stories around the country. This what NOT a horror story although many hotels in this price range are. The staff, although not overly exuberant or friendly was efficient and professional in getting me what i needed. They were quietly respectful, and no need to be phony in getting me checked in and on my way. Short on pillows, but was not anything heart breaking and did not ruin my stay. The neighbourhood was a little sketchy, but i had no issues and was the lot was failry quiet on the weeknight i was there. >> Pleasantly surprised by the room at this price range, and thank you to staff for doing a good job.

This hotel is a rat trap. The room was not made up. Nor were rooms around us. Check in was 3PM & we got to the hotel at 8PM. The smoke alarm was disconnected. No TV remote. No waste basket. No breakfast & we paid $ 150. Never again Red Roof Inn!

It’s not the most attractive place to stay. The exterior of the building is in rough shape and dirty, but the rooms were okay. The rooms look like they were remodeled at some point in the last few years unlike the exterior. When we first arrived, we were pretty concerned about the stay due to how sketchy and unattractive the exterior looks. We asked the employee at the front desk if we could take a look at the rooms before we fully committed to the stay, and they were very understanding of it and without a second thought, showed us the two rooms. Considering the price we paid, I expected more from this property, but it was the only choice we had for last minute booking that was within our budget. The hotel doesn’t provide free breakfast but there are multiple diners and stores surrounding the building. The bathroom in our bedroom was not very clean, the toilet bowl had not been brushed well and the shower liner was very stained and looked like it hadn’t been replaced in who knows how long. The toilet itself didn’t flush well, we kept having to flush multiple times in order for waste to fully flush down. It seems like getting that fixed would save the hotel money in the long run. I give this property a 3/5 mostly due to the customer service. All of the employees at the front desk were very kind. I really hope they’re being compensated appropriately because I witnessed multiple customers treat them poorly and they fought back with kindness - good for them!

My friend had a hotel tenants loose dog ran at her and her dog who was on a lead when she yelledcat them to come get their dog they threatened her and her dogs life! Said they woukd put a bullet in both their heads! The staff were no help the manager doesn't even live in the country we had to call the local police. The hotel would not give my money back and forced us to stay another night scared to death as we had no money to move to another hotel! I want my money back they coukd not keep us safe nor did they try to make things better.No one shoukd stay there ther permanent tenants are all druggies and dangerous. The police said they respond to numerous calls to this Redroof inn , the Walmart next door!
