Colton Motel Gettysburg

The Colton is fine for the price. It is conveniently located near the battlefield. It is older, it lacks some amenities, and it could use some upkeep. New bath towels would help. We did find long hairs that did not belong to us in multiple places. It is a no-nonsense place to lay your head. The staff was great. Very helpful and very friendly.

Quick stay. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Parking is excellent right outside of my room. This property was refreshed late last year. Room was comfy, bed, ac/heat unit good and quiet. Refrig was good but needed defrosting. Outdoor ice machine is marvelous! There was an old but functioning microwave in my room which was a special treat (not usually provided) and most welcome. There was some issue with sugar ants in the bathroom, management made aware and exterminator to be contacted. The location of this vintage property (adjacent to the National Cemetery where Pres. Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address) is why I choose to stay at the Colton over newer hotels.

Excellent value in the best location. Wasn't expecting a luxury resort. Only gripe was no chair in the room but not a big deal. Can't beat the price and reasonably clean

The motel was older and had obvious live in tenants that argued and fought at night. However, they did not bother us at all. The room was clean. I noticed there was no hair dryer but asked t the office and they gave me one. You have parking right in front of your room. Heat and air worked great. Electrical could use some updating. Overall i would stay again.
