The staff was friendly. The rooms are in ill repair. The ice machine was broken, there was no breakfast, the pool was broken and has been for a while. The lights flickered whenever you used the microwave. The bathtub was nasty.

Most of the current plug doesn't work. Bathroom doors doesn't work properly . All washer dryer out of service .you can hear sound all night , even if peoples are walkingabive your room .Toilet base is loosely coupled.

Property is run-down and in poor repair. No towels were provided due to a broken washing machine. Front desk staff made many excuses about the towels and promised repeatedly that the laundry was being done in a laundromat and I'd get towels.

The property wasn't too bad. The parking lot drive to the main road needed repair. Towels, sheets, and blankets seemed old and dingy. There was a messy storm when I checked in on Saturday. The ice machine didn't work, the pool wasn't clean or kept up, along with most of the property. Too many kids and pets, not that I don't like them it just seemed excessive and I understand pay customers and the like. But, maybe you should charge them more to keep up with the upgrades...That might even out.

Reserved a non-smoking room and the room smelled of cigarette smoke. I called front desk and she said all our rooms are non-smoking and they don't know if someone is smoking. We had to ask for towels. The ice machine did not work and there was a hole in the bathroom wall, could not upload pictures. On the plus side, they had a good variety for breakfast. We will not be staying at any other Baymonts. I am surprised that Wyndham would have better rooms.

The front desk couldn’t find my booking even though I repeatedly explained that check-in was completed and prepaid through Hotels.com. Around 1 PM, the staff told me to contact Hotels.com instead of checking their own list. After insisting, they finally found my name with all paperwork already printed. The room was the worst part—slight smoke smell, very dirty, broken bathroom items, a burnt bedsheet, and not even two proper pillows. The parking and outside area looked great, completely opposite of the interior. Breakfast was very limited; only the waffle and juice were decent. They also had no ice machine. Overall, terrible experience.

Room was so dirty I wouldn't even let my dog sleep in it. Toilet had urine in it not flushed. No toilet paper, soap or shampoo. Asked for refund was told only manager could do that and wouldn't be back till Monday.

floors was terribly dirty, there was a big hair ball on shower wall, light did not work in bathroom comode and shower area it was setting on stand in bathroom , bathroom was infested with flies, both bedspreads had numerous holes in them, room smelled, a cockroach went down sink drain when light was turned on. traveled for 15 hrs. and had to deal with this, we would have demanded another room but it was late and too tired. we have stayed here before and it was okay on 2nd floor. we will never stay here again. worst experience ever in our years of travel!

The room we stayed in was dirty. The walls and ceiling were crumbling, smoke detector was pulled out of the wall. There was a huge stain on one of the lamp shades that looked like blood. My family was uncomfortable and scared for the stay.

Rooms we were given hadn’t been cleaned - beer cans everywhere, sheets in a pile, towels on the floor. New rooms we were given had bugs, disgusting floors in the bathroom, paint peeling, stains all over the carpets, blood stains on bed sheets. Horrible. Canceled rooms and stayed at another hotel.

No towels in room. Someone's old bic razor was still on the tub rail. Tub didn't drain while showering. Room smelled like smoke all night. Not a smoke-free hotel. No toilet paper in room. Shoes stuck to floor while walking across. Hotel also smells like cat urine.

Went to sleep and around 3am i realized something was biting me. Woke up to bed bugs in the bed. My arm was ate up from them. Told front desk . They giving me the run around. And dont want to reimburse me my money back .

Very late check in so when I go to open my door the key won’t work. Back to the front desk. They had to go open the door. The ceiling had about 30% of the plaster issuing. The walls were peeling. It was clean but looked like everything in it was 50 years old. There was no Tv, no phone, no clock and the next morning when the wife wanted to shower we discovered there were no towels in the room either. I was satisfied since it was cheap. But the wife Adele get back on the road at 6am after 5 hours of sleep. She said we can afford better and she won’t let me do that again. Honestly I thought since it was owed by Wyndham that it would not be a crackhouse piece of property

Your experience will depend upon the room. I have stayed here many times on my trips back and forth to Florida and, mostly, the rooms were fine. Not so with Room 218. It looked like brawl broke out in that room: broken lampshades and non-working lamps, a hole kicked in the bathroom door, and the smell of cigarette smoke.

No lights by the bed. Customer service was poor. The receptonist could have cared less. Only 1 set of towels in the room. We were told the washers were broken. Some person did deliver towels, at 1030 pm but he came right into our room without knocking. Not too sure Bout the breakfast as we left at 0610 and the dining room was still dark. The sink was cracked and the dresser draweŕs were held closed wiyh pieces of cardboard. I could go on but i won't

Never again - they put us in a room that was under repair. Arrived late and did not want to go change rooms. The sink was not attached, room dirty and smelled bad. Plus WiFi did not work at all in this room

The first room I was given had the refrigerator setting outside the door and the beds were not made. The second room has the fridge unplugged, the microwave didn't work, the TV remote and iron were missing in action along with the fact that the buttons on the TV were so jacked up that you could barely change the channels and simply adjusting the sound would turn it off completely. Both rooms smelled like a cigarette had cross bread with a joint. It was also pleasant to be woken up with the cleaning people jamming music as they went from room to room each day. But, it was a cheap place to lay your head down and I didn't see a single bug of any type. So kudos for that!

The first red flag was at check in I was handed a scratchy paper thin towel and a wash cloth to take with me to the room. I didn’t understand what had just happened until I got to the room. It was either an old smoking room or was just musty and damp, but the room oozed filthy and dirty. But the reason I asked to be moved to another room was the fact I could not get any internet reception. The front desk person was helpful and gave me another room. Now the new room didn’t have internet reception either. Also did not have a security door latch. And the deadbolt would not turn. The floor had a huge visible stain where the fridge probably had defrosted with the water just going onto the floor. The sink handle was broken and when I tried to use it water sprayed all over. The towel rack was hanging by only a single anchor at a forty five degree sloped angle. So I couldn’t put my towel that I was given earlier on it. My first room did not have a coffee maker. This one did. But no coffee packs or cups. The room was dirty. The floor was dirty. It was the vinyl wood flooring, but had not been cleaned. Finally the back of the entry door was covered in graffiti. Like you might have seen in the high school bathroom stalls. Lewd and crude back then. Completely unacceptable to be on the motel door that I’m actually paying to stay in. And lastly there were twenty or so families living there as their residence. With the folks next door making noise until three in the morning.

I am trying to get refunded still for the night that I didn’t stay. I know this is a nonrefundable room however I only stayed one night because I had a migraine and got in late. I checked out the next morning and I have yet to talk to manager and it’s two weeks later I am so close to calling the news and Walterboro to let Them know how nasty this place is and how poorly run.

I was not greeted when I arrived. The front desk attendant, Tee, was in the middle of a cell phone conversation with someone and continued the conversation audibly during the entire check-in process. I did not know if she was talking to me or her friend. My confirmed online reservation was not available, and she became rude and totally insensitive to my questions and concerns about my prepaid reservation. This was the worst checkin experience I have ever encountered. In fact, I returned my room key and pursued a different reservation. Is Baymont that desperate to hire such unprofessional and discourteous employees? Tee should never be employed in any profession that requires hospitality and appropriate etiquette. This is my last time with Baymont. I certainly hope this hotel administration will reach out to Tee and help her to learn effective people skills.

This Baymont is always pleasant and comfy with no unexpected surprises. It's clean with a spacious breakfast area that has good selection. It's away from I-95 so it's also quiet. I have stayed here 2x a year for the past 5 years and will keep coming back on my yearly pilgrimage to Florida!

My wife and I are frugal travelers especially when commuting between NY and FL. We need clean sheets, a warm room and easy on and off the exits. The rest is negotiable. This met the bill. It did not exceed our expectations. So, if you are looking for an inexpensive place to sleep this is it.

This hotel is in a great location to where I need to be, with immediate access to I-95 and excellent access to food, and it is relatively quiet at night. The misses - housekeeping does not do a good job cleaning some of the time, they leave dingy towels with holes, some of the refrigerators do not work, and the closures on some doors need servicing. There are some rooms, service and towels that are excellent but it is not consistent.

Your breakfast offering was sad to say the least. Boiled eggs, waffles and cold cereal. We usually stay at Comfort Inns but decided to give your hotel a try. The price was good but your breakfast offering wasn’t. Thankfully there was a Huddle House close by

Went to get breakfast sausage gravy and biscuits at 830 am. They were out. They told me they only use one can and if thats not enough too bad we wont put any more out! Rude and disrespectful. No way to run a place very angry about it. Had to get vreakfast elsewhere

Overall it was a good stay - excellent for the price. The staff were kind and friendly and the rooms were surprisingly pretty clean. The beds were comfy and everything in the room worked well. It was a tad noisy at times and just a lot of activity from people around there, which was a bit much but nothing too crazy considering most people were nice. The pool is great and the gas station/McDonalds is real convenient since there isn't much around. Cracker Barrel is nearby, but it's just not great food and expensive. The breakfast was pretty good and the staff did a great job of keeping it stocked (still go early though). This motel is also about 45 min from Edisto Beach, which was really nice.
