Overall this hotel was good. Only things we didn't like was the pool area was very cold. The water wasn't bad but the temp in the room was freezing. Also the only hot things at the breakfast were waffles.

The room was in pretty good condition and and the beds were great. Sad that the pool wasn't working. But luckily we were able to go to the rec center in town and swim there. The beds were the best part of the whole thing. Very soft and comfy. The breakfast was pretty good for the most part and was able to make a great waffle and had hot coffee and orange juice. Toast withpeanut and jelly. There was milk and cereal. Great fresh banana and apples. Worth the price we paid.

Why advertise a pool when it's clearly a health hazard? I'm an environmental biologist- this facility needs to be reported to the health department. My boys were very disappointed but there is no way they were swimming in algae and filth. It stunk like rot. The room itself had a towel shoved around the leaky air conditioner- the AC smelt like smoke when we took it off power-saving mode. The bathroom door was pretty much destroyed and needed to be lifted to latch. The door catching lock/security brace had been ripped out of the frame. Bedding was clean and the floor was vinyl, so at least no nasty carpet. Honestly, I get that is a budget hotel... but $120 will get you a much nicer stay... literally anywhere else... And DO NOT USE THE POOL. It is a health emergency waiting to happen.

Terrible. The pool smelt like mold. The floor looked like mold. The bathrooms on the rooms were not good either. Over all worst hotel we stayed in on our 7 day road trip.

Pool has a ring of film around it, and mold and mildew in the area where you walk around pool. Also fitness center was inoperable and appeared to be somewhat of a storage area for the hotel now.

For the price, this was really great. The rooms are updated and clean with comfortable beds, a decent sized mini fridge, and microwave. The pool was small but had a five-foot deep end that made it more fun. The free breakfast had the waffle maker that my kids love, biscuits, gravy, eggs, cereal, and fruit. The hallways and exterior coukd use some beautification but otherwise a great experience.

I have never left a bad review for a place before, but this was terrible. Our room was so dirty- there was blood stains on the pillow cases, white stains on the bed skirt, hair all over the bathtub/shower, an extremely dark "dirt" line in the tub from not being properly cleaned, the toilet was not cleaned and had pubic hair and pee all over the base, there was food left in the refrigerator, and to top it all off... I found a dirt sock in the footing of the sheets- which tells me the bedding was not fully changed. The pool had a terrible mildew/bleach smell that was so bad we left the pool area right away because it made it so hard to breathe in there and made our eyes burn. My husband ended up booking a room at a different hotel for the second night because we were all so disappointed/grossed out by our stay.

It’s an old property that has been spruced up a bit but still is shabby. Linens were worn and I saw a cockroach. This place has a high ick factor. I recommend avoiding it - the savings are not worth it.

Everything was clean and staff friendly and helpful. It was priced way below others so we were concerned. But the place was spotless but the facility and furniture were dated and used. Scratches and dents and older styles. We had dogs and it was perfectly acceptable for us and worth the price.

After I was given a clearly used paper keycard holder I drove around to my room where several men were loitering. I parked and went directly to the room. The room was filthy. The beds, while made, were disgusting. The linens were covered in what appeared to be bodily fluids. I turned around and left.

This hotel was disgusting! Smell was awful in the halls, the carpets were 40+ years old, the rooms were dirty. I dont think the floor had been mopped in weeks.

Nice people, clean beds and great price but the floors were gross. Black spots all over the carpet, dirt in the corners and on the stairs. I had to clean the mirror to see in it. The ceiling had a ring of black powdery substance in the shape of a toilet in the bathroom.

This should be your absolute last Resort if traveling through the area. It’s dirty, grungy and surely not built to code. Several of the outlets appear to be drywalled over, they didn’t remove the covers when applying texture or paint. There is paint on the floors, in the bathtub, in the sink etc. The light switch seems to shut off all the outlets and lamps. The lamps are not secured to the walls. The AC unit made ear piercing scream after about 15 minutes. Absolutely terrible.

I thought that we'd give Super 8 another chance since it's owned by Wyndam. Big mistake!! Let me start with the positives. The young lady who checked us in was very courteous. The room had been updated with a fresh coat of paint, new flooring, new vanity and a large TV. Now the negatives...tub/shower was cracked, fan in bathroom screeched and didnt work, toilet seat caps were broken or gone exposing disgusting filth. Our floor (2nd) had the only ice mahine that that I could find and it Didn't work! The carpets in the halls and stairways had stains hroughout. The breakfast was ok but most of the chairs had stains on the cushions and the trash was overflowing. The final straw was when a worker came into the breakfast area BAREFOOT to unplug the warmer for the eggs, sausage and gravy!! NEVER HAVE I EVER SEEN THAT!! SHAME ON THE MANAGER AS WELL AS WYNDHAM FOR ALLOWING SUCH ACTIONS!! I travel alot around the country and this place needs better management. I'm not sure that I'll EVER stay at one again!! EEWWH!!

Very friendly person at check-in. That was the end of the good experience. Hallways had been sometime since the vacuum had seen it. Got in the room.air conditioning was barely working. Beds were comfortable and clean sheets. But the overall condition was poor.

Other than the hotel being older and needing some new carpets and maybe furnishings. It was a nice quiet hotel. Needs better parking. Our air conditioner in our room wasn’t kicking out the coldest air but all in all for our trip and time spent there it was nice.

Business trip on the way from Minneapolis to Rapid City and stopped at Mitchell, SD at this Super 8. The parking area is a mass of pavement adjacent to stored vehicles and an RV park with an older building with little to no landscaping, so the grounds are not as nice as other hotels. However room was good, with comfortable beds, newer interior, and bathroom. Liked the mini fridge with separate freezer. Continental breakfast was good and plentiful. Near a lot of gas stations and restaurants. Affordable for a business or family stay over. Stopped over at the Corn Palace to check out this landmark.

The hotel is easily accessible off the Interstate and is located close to dining options. The hotel itself could use some renovations as it is older but the rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and work hard to make your stay enjoyable. The free breakfast was pretty decent with a waffle maker as well as cereals and other basics.

It was fine for what it is. Right on the highway so some noise from that plus there was a generator or something that would come on intermittently that was annoying (maybe from the rv park behind it). I left the AC fan on to drown it out. The fitness room has two machines that seemed unplugged but I didn’t end up asking about it. There’s a few diners and fast food places in the area. Ok place to stay.

The property is old and rundown. Overall grungy. We had a king size bed and it was lumpy and sagged terribly in the middle. If we hadn't arrive so late after driving 12 hours, we would have stayed elsewhere. Breakfast poor. Nothing hot, only bread - no bagels, muffins or raisin bread. No fruit or yogurt. Dirty pans in the table. I would be embarrassed to be under the Wyndham umbers.

Its an old hotel that hasnt been updated in a long time. The rooms need a deep clean and the lobby smelled smoky. It was a cheap place to stay for one night. The continental breakfast was not good.

For a discount hotel, they exceeded my expectations. Helpful staff. Clean facility. Even had a real breakfast. Sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, biscuits, juice, coffee. I travel from western South Dakota to central Minnesota. This is now my go to hotel when traveling this route.

The worst hotel by far on our cross country trip! But the most expensive! They should not even say they have continental breakfast. They have 1 messy waffle maker, a tub of butter and 1 bottle of syrup. Forget about coffee! None in lobby and the breakfast room only had decaf and it was cold! Ice maker doesn't work. One worker told another guest (concerning breakfast) "When you're the cheapest motel in town you can't afford the extras"!! Do not recommend!!
