We selected this hotel for the pool and the breakfast, well those did not happen. The pool was drained and that was not listed on the web site. Then for breakfast, I asked the owner to refill the batter for waffles and fruit, after waiting for 40 minutes, we left and had to purchase breakfast elsewhere. This was disappointing since there was a youth activity going on and where about multiple families waiting and leaving too. Also the used toothpick next to the bed was a yuck factor. The lobby was updated nicely and smelled good. However as soon as we hit the stairway the carpet was dirty and you could smell an odor. There has been an attempt to update the rooms. However it has been poorly done. There are cracks in the walls and painting was hastily completed. The room also had an odor of moisture/mildew.

The Quality Inn in Fort Pierre was a convenient, comfortable, and affordable place to stay. It was obvious a lot of efforts are underway to improve the property. The room had new furniture, flooring and all. Staff was helpful and nice. I was hoping to use the fitness room, but this was being used as a storage closet. The pool was also closed but I wasn't planning on using it. The bathroom light was missed in the upgrade/cleaning process. Overall, this was a facility that is making improvements and was a decent place to stay.

The only good thing about this place is that the room was reasonably clean when I arrived. I stayed 5 days and never had room service. I was told by the Indian owner, who could barely speak english that if I need something to ask. The rear access door was always unlocked and broken. Guest laundry and pool were closed. DO NOT stay here

Wouldn't let me cancel one day. The pool was under maintenance. Breakfast on Sunday was out of waffle batter. Apple juice was water and leaking. Sausages were cold. Eggs looked nasty. Sausage gravy and biscuits were gone. No one was helping to correct it.

For the basics it’s fine. But there is no way to even buy so much as a bottle of water (and the tap water isn’t good). Also there is no elevator so carrying luggage is difficult. Staff was pleasant but I will find another place to stay when I am in Pierre.

Fitness room was essentially a construction dumpsite, pool was broken and closed, doors out to parking area did not have working locks, expired food (yogurts) in breakfast area. Guy running the desk was doing his best. Property NOT AS ADVERTISED

The pool is so cold. It’s like pins and needles hitting your body. The showers don’t work very good. We had a room that had a hide a bed. they gave us the sheets to make it but no blanket. When we wanted a rollaway.

Was one of the dirtiest hotels I've stayed in. The towels had stains , the floor was dirty , the furniture was stained and grubby . The water pressure was terrible in the shower. only good thing i can say is that the bed was comfortable. For $100 dollars a night I don't recommend.

This is a roach motel that even the roaches have moved out of…zero heat in the pool area, got a thermometer, the pool water was a whopping 42.6 degrees…room was unclean, something splattered all over desk/dresser, chair was full of crumbs, and there was actual feces on the bathroom wall! When I brought pictures down the the front desk (after waiting 10 minutes for anyone to answer the phone because they were away from the desk) they looked at me like I was crazy…left immediately, didn’t stay for the the rest of the nights I paid for, and am awaiting response from Expedia about getting my money back.

Total disaster. Parking lot was not clean off of snow, no heat in the pool room, so door was propped open to hallway which is also a safety hazard. Room was dirty, hair and bugs esp in the corners, tv remote no back cover, paint peeling and splotchy, bed broken and had stuff underneath, microwave door difficult to shut, no chair in room. We were booked for two night, but left and went to a different hotel for the second night. Also completely overpriced. Almost $300 for the two nights (one of which we spent elsewhere).

My goodness! The sink was falling off the wall! Carpet on the stairs was stained and needed cleaned. Comforters on the beds were stained and had holes in them. The front desk was very nice and helped with anything we asked. Price wasnt terrible...but the maintence was awful.

The bathroom was filthy, so I couldn’t shower. The door jamb was also broken so the room wasn’t safe, but they said it was the last room on the first floor and there was no elevator. I refused to lug my heavy suitcase and 2 cats up the stairs. When I complained and showed the front desk person pics of my room and demanded a refund, they said since I paid through a third party, they couldn’t do that. The manager was supposed to contact me, but has not done so.

Door was so tight and hard to open that I thought key wasn’t working. Front desk guy told me to push really hard to open or close that door. Lots of working men. We have stayed here many times over the years on our way to the black hills. We will not stay here again.

My stay at this hotel was ok, not great. The check in staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable and clean, but the bathroom where the shower and toilet were was very outdated, the shower not clean, and the paint was peeling off the walls. The sink and mirror to get ready was outside the bathroom, it was clean, but the light went out after about 5 minutes and couldn’t figure out how to turn back on. Didn’t have time for staff to fix it. The noise was terrible, could hear kids running in the hallway, and the people next to me played loud music all night long. Probably will not stay again.

Property is badly in need of updating... paint in the bathroom was peeling; lots of bumps, dings, holes in the walls that need to be repaired; drink machines in breakfast area out of order; coffee machine in the room was sketchy; train runs right by motel - 4 am horn blasting all the way past the hotel. Beds & pillows were good though!

The person who checked us in was super friendly and the process was quick. Our rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was pretty good and was restocked as soon as things started getting low.

There were people living in a broken down van in the back of the building. Not convenient boat parking. I reserved a suite but it wasn’t really available. The housekeeper had to come back to get it ready. We didn’t get the room until 8 pm. In the meantime, we were able to use a regular room though.

It was pretty good. Mit is the absolute MAN, went on the phone for choice rewards for me n jumped through all the hoops. As for the room: it was clean, everything worked, bed was decently comfy for my liking.

The Quality Inn in Fort Pierre was a convenient, comfortable, and affordable place to stay. It was obvious a lot of efforts are underway to improve the property. The room had new furniture, flooring and all. Staff was helpful and nice. I was hoping to use the fitness room, but this was being used as a storage closet. The pool was also closed but I wasn't planning on using it. The bathroom light was missed in the upgrade/cleaning process. Overall, this was a facility that is making improvements and was a decent place to stay.

Rooms were very affordable. My family had two rooms for two nights over the Fourth of July. Pool was was operational but small and shallow. It served its purpose. The Rooms. The first room: hair dryer didn’t work, bathroom fan didn’t work. Direct TV signal to week to use Direct TV. However, other digital channels like Tubi did work. The second room. Bathroom fan cover missing. Bathroom door cracked in half, AC unit fan unit not draining properly and is sloshing water around. Room door not properly hung so it did not freely close. We had to force it shut. Hot Continental Breakfast. Powdered eggs. Coffee machine was not properly mixing water and coffee so all coffee was watered down. There wasn't any fresh fruit. On the second morning found a bug in the bowl of sugar packets!

When I checked in, I got to my room and the door was broken. It would not close properly and I was not able to lock the room door. Also the toilet was not bolted down. Not a very clean hotel. Hallways needed vacuuming and floor in my room had not been swept or cleaned and dirt was still on the floor. Lighting above the bathroom sink is very dim and tv remote wasn't working.
