Hotel has clearly been doing renovation work during the winter season. I wish the website would have been clear that it was doing so. Pool/hot tub was advertised as open on one webpage and closed from March-April 30th on another. We arrived on May 1 staying until May 3rd and the pool/ hot tub was still unread to be used.

Breakfast was good. Room had not been cleaned very well, just needed a good vacuuming and the hide a bed was dirty. Could tell that had not been checked.

When we arrived the fellow greeting us seemed to be functioning as a child caregiver as well. There was a young girl (about 7 yrs old) there and the area inside the desk/check-in counter was messy, so not very professional.

It was an adorable, historical hotel. Yes, some of it was older, but everything was clean. The staff was friendly. And despite us coming in at 9:30 to eat when the restaurant closed at 10:00, they still were friendly and served us.

I arrived about 11pm & the front desk attendant was new (she told me) & could not figure out how to check me in. I got to my room, used the bathroom right away-the toilet paper roll was empty, there were used towels hanging behind the door, there was a used plastic fork on the floor & the carpet definitely was not vacuumed. There were ants in the bathroom, too.
