I was very upset that when I checked in they didn’t tell me the pool was closed. Why advertise it on EXPEDIA if it’s closed and under construction? We should’ve been told that at check in.

This is a great hotel! The room and facilities were clean. We left very early (3:30 AM) and there was someone at the front desk to give us "To Go" Breakfast bags, which was nice since breakfast service had not started. The pool appeared to be surrounded by a fenced off construction zone, but the pool was accessible. The pool is apparently not heated, as my kids said it was freezing and did not want to swim. That was a disappointment. Other than the pool, the hotel room (standard with two queens, top floor) was excellent. The facility was clean. Easy check in. Nice fish tank by the front desk, kids loved that. Overall we would stay again if the pool was heated. If the pool is not important, this hotel is great. If heated pool is important, look elsewhere.

We had not been told the pool wouldn’t be in service . We would have chosen a different location. That was a must on our list since we were in Texas where it was over 100 degrees. Also had repairs going on which started loud noises around 8am every morning

When I first checked in, I was assigned room 217. The water pressure in the shower made it impossible to use. They moved me to the only other open room (317) and it was only marginally better. The hotel appeared to be under extensive renovation... I only counted 22 cars in the open parking lot. The parking lot on the other side of the building was closed off due to ground to top floor scaffolding needed to re-do the exterior of the hotel. I assume all the rooms on that side of the building were not being rented out. This got a 9.2 rating on Travelocity... I'd reverse those numbers... 2.9. (and that's being kind!)

Place has some construction going on. Lobby restrooms closed. Breakfast was great! Room was spacious and comfy. House keeping was good and very friendly. Front desk clerk was friendly and professional just didn’t give me the usually things to know while you stay. Location is good and close to highway and restaurants.

We’ve stayed here previously and have loved our previous stays. But this time our stay was just awful no amenities what so ever. The pool was closed and the lobby restrooms were out of order as well as the gym was not working at all. And the washer was out of order. Super disappointed with our stay we are lucky that the breakfast was open. I hope they get their issues soon. I would really hate to take my business elsewhere.

Great stay and always enjoy our stays. My only complaint is they need a better parking lot system. They had more reserved spots for Diamond members than for Handicapped people. It also was tore up. They offer a hot breakfast, but next door is an IHOP. Its nice that they have a coffee station available all the time.

We had a decent stay at Hampton Inn. Positives: hotel seemed clean, the room was clean, beds were fine, air conditioner worked well. Easy check in and check out. Easy access to the freeway, close to fast food options. Negatives: The shower did not drain well so it would fill up a bit and it felt like there was sand in the tub. There was a giant roach crawling on the wall when we were eating downstairs in the dining area, but we couldn’t find a staff member to report it. It was a bit noisy at night, we stayed 3 nights and every night we could hear delivery truck beeping noises.

Very pleased with our stay! The room looked modern and pleasant, very clean, no smells. Air conditioner, coffee maker, microwave, little fridge, faucets, etc. everything was functional and in perfect condition. We also really appreciated the blackout window blinds. Everything was great EXCEPT! I hated the shower, no pressure the tub was slippery, did not take a comfortable shower at all. The lavatory held the water so I had to brush my teeth in the shower couldn’t brush my teeth comfortably cause I had to be careful not to slip. Slept comfortably. Just those two very important needs weren’t met. If I’m going to pay to stay somewhere I expect comforts like home or better. If those things don’t matter to you, you’ll be fine.

They have a known hot water issue. They run out of hot water in the mornings and it takes hours to get it back. It takes 10 to 15 min for the hot water to even show up on the 2nd or 3rd floor. At 2 I woke up because we were leaving at 3 to head back home and still had to wait almost 10 for hot water

None of the bathroom electrical outlets worked, and the electrical outlet in the bedroom next to bathroom wall close to the bed headboard wall was not working, all of the issues were reported on day one. The gray windows shade was all the way down, the switch to move the shade up and down did not work, in order to get sunlight in the room we had to jimmy rig the small garbage basket pulse a empty box on top of one another to get a quarter of sunlight, I have pictures, this was reported on day one, the maintenance guy came in, it appears he was aware, he never did comeback to fix! We had to use the outlets on the bedroom to blow dry our hair and for our curling iron. On the final day when I went to true up the bill, give back door cards, I was asked how my stay was, I told the gentleman behind the desk the same thing, showed him pictures, it seemed to me he was aware of the issues, based on his comments. Note each time we asked the cleaning employees for towels, they were very receptive, very customer focused!!

When we arrived at our room we found the toilet not working and when we addressed it to the front desk they said they would go take a look at it but immediately decided to change our room so we didn’t have to wait. I loved their attention to the problem with a fast response. The room was super clean and they serviced my room as requested from the duration of my stay. I was overall happy and will return for future stays.

Our entire stay was first rate! The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the check-in and out a breeze. The best thing was the very friendly service by every employee we meet. They even had fresh baked cookies in the afternoon! We will only stay at this hotel when we visit Harlingen. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

The staff was very nice, breakfast is very good, the room was clean and had everything we needed, (refrigerator, microwave, counter area, iron), and it was one of the only hotel that had a good weight room. If I needed more to workout, there was one right across the road. It was also close to everything we needed.
