Quality Inn & Suites NRG Park - Medical Center

The property has free parking, a nice perk because most hotels in the area charge for parking. Pets are allowed here. An unleashed pitbull followed me around in the hallway, but the owner was apologetic and quickly controlled their pet. The drapes were sooo dusty and had several stains. One bedcover had stains. The location is not very secure and is off a service road. This makes it a little inconvenient to get to. The property is really old and poorly maintained.

The hotel needed a lot of TLC, the doors didn’t not lock properly & the keys kept getting demagnetized. The pool was also closed, which was not stated at any time while checking in. I’ve NEVER had such a horrible stay booking through hotels.com.

We got in late, wanted to unwind and watch a little tv. Tv only has 3 stations which were all staticy. Online said they had a pool, pool wasn't open. No elevator. We actually checked out the next morning and stayed somewhere else for the rest of our trip.

I booked it because it had a pool and I had 2 kids with me for the stay. The pool had a sign on it that it was out of service and when we asked the lady at the front desk if the pool would be open in the next few day she said she didn’t know when the pool would be accessible as it didn’t pass inspection. Rug in the room had stains on it, mini fridge was disgustingly dirty. Room smelled musty like it had previous water damage.

Check in was pretty quick. The room is dated. There were a number of things that were not working or broken. The pool wasn't available either because they needed to get it checked out by the city. We paid a fair price, location was good, breakfast was great. We would stay there again. Just a little disappointed with some things now working.

The staff at the front desk were friendly but not very professional w posture and demeanor. they were leaned over on their elbows the whole check in process. The beds are comfortable but the overall room looks like there should be a chalk outline on the floor. Our room looks out to the pool which is green

It's an outdated no-frills hotel conveniently located to NRG Stadium. I selected this to save some money, but also because they advertised as having a swimming pool and a fitness facility. The pool was closed even though it was 85 degrees each day of my stay. The fitness center was closed due to some apparent remodeling. Had I known the swimming pool and fitness center were not available, I never would've stay here. The staff were nice and professional, so I will give them kudos. The breakfast is a nice perk as well. But the hotel itself is in need of serious work and upgrades. It's also not in the best neighborhood, so visitors should exercise caution when walking around in nearby neighborhoods.

The only good thing about the place was it was walking distance to NRG stadium. They advertised having a shuttle (it only went to the hospital & ran from 7a-3p Mon-Fri). They advertised having a gym (it was closed & being used as storage). Breakfast was decent (waffles, yogurt, cereal & the juice machine was down. I’ve had better w/sausage, eggs, bagels, etc). The cleaning staff was pretty much non-existent: there was a dead roach at the entrance of my building (on the inside) & a soda bottle on the steps that was there for my entire 5 day stay. For me to have a non-smoking room it’s funny how I had sheets w/cigarette burns. The light covering in my bathroom randomly fell in the middle of the night. The 1st room they gave me the phone didn’t work & the lock looked like someone tried to kick in the door. Their cable is pretty much non-existent & the 3 channels that “worked” were super fuzzy. Abandoned buildings were all around. Nowhere to eat nearby. Tried to chexk-out & there was no worker at the front desk for every bit of 10 mins. Listen, if you’re going to an event at the NRG stadium I’d def look into other properties that are also walking distance before booking this 1. As the saying goes: you get what you pay for.

Hotel good, but swimming pool was out of service with 100 Fahrenheit should be fixed on time

The stay was good, the room was nice. The only issue I have is the fitness center was closed

The floor had huge red stains everywhere, there were bugs in the tub and where tv was at. I found a small blood stain on other side of bed linen. I was too exhausted to really ask for another room and have be placed in worse one than the one I was in.

There were cockroaches and the room smelled of mildew and possibly mold. I had to leave early, felt I would be sick.

We find cockroache in one of the romks , the hall smell a lot a marijuana, it was a wasps nest we have to left just the 5 minutes we where in there my daughter got bitten be bedbugs

The room was very dirty looked like it had barely been wiped down. Luckily we didn’t have to stay in the room most the day or we would’ve definitely rebooked somewhere else. Outside around the building were very dirty. The fridge in our room was DISGUSTING and smelt like rotted food had been in it forever. Definitely would not return to this location due to cleanliness.

The room was so moldy and mildewy. We ended up leaving early. We had two rooms that connected and both were mildewy. Someone else that I met in the hall said the second floor wasn’t as bad. I thought maybe the hotel had been flooded at some point but the staff said it’s the humidity and it’s in the carpet. Black mold was really bad in the ac so I tried to Lysol and clean it out but it was in the whole room. My clothes and suitcase smelled bad after I left the room

Room was not very clean. There were stains on the bedding and it looked like someone had slept in it the previous night and there was a coffee cup by the tv so I’m assuming the staff must not have cleaned the room that day.

The first room we were given had 3 LIVE roaches th3 second we walked in the door. We went back to the front desk and the attendant was super sweet, she happily gave is another room. I bring my own cleaning supplies when i stay in a hotel and after thorough cleaning it was clear they probably just remake beds and replace towels but theres no extensuve cleaning and every santizing wipe i used was filthy. WEAR HOUSE SHOES... the carpet is "sticky" or tacky... due to the humidity. The building smells. The only 2 good things i have to say is that it is SUPER close and convenient to walk to NRG and the employees are super sweet.

Our room smelled musky and was humid. There were roaches in our room and all over the parking lot at night.

The building is in poor shape. The ceiling is coming off in the drop off loop. The baseboard is falling off in the stairs. The hallway smelled awful 80% of the time, sometimes smelt fine. The room was not clean. There was a spider on the bed the first 10 mins we got here. There were ants in the bathroom and made their way into one bed the second night. The fridge had a musky odor to it. The tv was going out, one side of the screen, the color was all discolored and off. When the cleaning lady came in, all she did was replace towels. They did not remake the bed. Front staff was very friendly though. If it was a guys trip, it probably would have been ok. Not ok for a couples trip.

The place is like a dumpster. Broken door, broken toilet, mold, bathroom ceiling leaking. This place should be demolished. Stay away

Very dated and needs a major remodel, size of rooms are a plus and having two bathrooms a plus as well. Bed was hard but overall a good cheap alternative for the location.

This is definitely a case of “you get what you pay for”. The roof was cracking in each room, the bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed (there was a gap between the door and the wall so it couldn’t even latch), there were stains on the carpet, the bathtub was cracked. There was full trash bags in the hallway, for our entire stay no one took them out. There were bugs in the breakfast room, maggots in the juice machine.

Location is convenient 14 min walk to NRG stadium. Lighting going to our room was dark, in our room as well. The AC was struggling to keep our room cool, this place was alright.

The main hallway light and one lamp on the wall were the only working lights in my room. The desk outlet had a missing plate cover with a multi plug adapter that didn't cover the exposed wires, that's an easy fix. The bed was old and no longer flat. It dipped in the middle, that's what makes me think it's old. It wasn't enough to make me roll to the center. The TV was about 26" and the audio was poor, along with the reception that lost signal twice. The primary reason for this poor review was because of the shower. It was the worst I have had in years. Water pressure was so bad it was between a dribble and a stream. It has an old tub style with the pullup stop on the tub fill outlet. Half of the pressure issue would be fixed if they corrected this alone. The lavatory faucet was terrible pressure too so I think they need to add a pressure booster to their system or ask the city why the pressure is only at about 10-15 PSI. Maybe the pipes are old and clogged. I'm not sure if they will read my notes I left in the room or suggestions with the front desk or not. I will not stay at the Quality Inn because it's anything but a quality place to stay, at least this location.

Checking in/out was gr8! Staff member very friendly & professional. Rooms outdated. Our room did not have anywhere to hang up our clothes. No counter space so we used the Handicap seat (that was off balance missing a leg cover) as counter space. Mildew stains on ceiling. Bottom part of AC unit falling apart. Beds were comfy. Rooms have a refrigerator, a microwave, coffee pot, iron & ironing board. Their continental breakfast is awesome! Motel is mediocre for an overnite stay. Reasonable priced and It’s also walking distance to NRG stadium. And there’s a Mexican restaurant next to motel, their food delicious.

The suite was very big and accommodating for my kids and I. The only thing I didn’t like was that the coffee machine didn’t work and one of the bath tubs had a yellow stain in it. Also the fridge was missing racks on the door. Other than that the beds were comfortable, the covers were clean, I did like that it had a fridge and a microwave and free breakfast. I would still stay here again.

The rooms were a good size but the beds were way to soft. We had asked for additional linen and was told that they did not have any extra linen.

Not many electrical outlets and the mattress was against the ones behind the bed which is a fire hazard even with all the lamps on the bedroom is very dark. The TVs are very small for the size of the rooms too. We stayed just one night but it was very nice and comfy. Bed is great. Room had 2 bathrooms and balconies. The water pressure in the shower was very disappointing though. It barely fell on me. Breakfast was great. Eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, yogurt, cereal, toast, fruit, oatmeals, oj, apple juice, folgers coffee. And Miriam was amazing and so friendly working it. So polite. The front desk was very polite and quick at check in and check out. One compliant on hotels. Com is I didn't see on here that they charge 100 dollar incidental fee at check in just in case and release if everything is ok. That's something that should be told to us. I know it is in other listings. If I missed it, that's on me, but I've seen it before on other properties. Also, if you are going to the football games. No the shuttle will not take you. But you can leave your car there for a noon game

We paid a lot of money to stay here for our anniversary and were spoken to very poorly by a staff member. Around midnight we came to the front desk to ask about a parking pass, but were quickly dismissed and brushed off. We spoke to another staff member who escorted us back to the front desk and the woman’s expression changed because she was caught. She tried explaining to the other staff member that we didn’t clearly tell her what we wanted, which is untrue. We were told this particular staff member informed us this isn’t the first time this woman has done this to guests. Her initials are PW and authorization ID is 558.

Overall great experience Cant go wrong with the price especially if your going to an event at NRG. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.

Room and bathroom were clean. Curtains need replacement. Maintenance responded promptly and resolved problem with tv. Excellent location for our trip to NRG Stadium. 15 minute walk and avoided traffic jam. Thanks!

When we checked in I had wait about 10 min before someone came to check me in. The clerk was friendly. The room was easy to find with map and directions. Outside door was easy to enter but entrance was full of leaves. Room was easy to find. Room had plenty of towels and soap and shampoo. Bathroom was extra large with a rack with towels and no toilet seat cover. Lots of safety bars. All looked clean. Bathroom sink was in room where there should of been a closet which was missed! Mold in corner of ceiling. Window or what was a disabled sliding door faced a cinder block wall. Tv was too small and poor reception and channel choice. Refrigerator someone's Half a bottle of soda in it. The door deadbolt did not lock but the extra lock did. Door to outside was very hard to open! If this was a handicap room I was never told. We did not request or require a handicap room. Breakfast provided was a joke. Coffee and packaged danish is not what was advertised. Location was perfect to get to yellow lot for rodeo parking. Man that was taking money for rodeo parking was very friendly. The housekeeper was sweet and just replaced the towels like we had asked. I have stayed at Quality Inns before and they were SO much better then this one!! Will definitely go up the street and stay at the Wyndham next year!!

We had to switch rooms because the first room AC, tv and phone did not work. When I went back to the office to let them know the girl acted like I was bothering her. Didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. The second room the remote for the tv did not work and the toilet stopped up. Please don't stay here if you have a choice.

Great place to stay right next to the NRG stadium

Area was super close to MD Anderson, which was awesome for me as we were visiting some family that we have there worked as a great place to escape when we needed a moment or didn’t want to buy a breakfast. They also had breakfast there overall great experience if you’re looking for a cheap hotel that isn’t gonna cost you $600 for the week this would be a great place to go!

Proximity to NRG was perfect, was surprised how few bars and restaurants are around the stadium but the location of the hotel made it easy to travel to them. Would definitely stay here again when in town for future events at NRG.

We didn’t stay. The location and the hotel seemed unsafe.

The location was so convenient to the NRG stadium saving tons of money on rental cars or parking or ride sharing. Just a 10-15 min walk around the corner. The microwave, AC and fridge worked great and the room was spacious with two clean bathrooms. I recommend it for the location and bare necessities. The entrance to the hotel had part of the stucco damaged but I just figured it was from the humidity. The hotel room itself was not very clean and seemed pretty beat up. The TV was broken, the curtain rod was broken, stains and glitter all over the floor and chairs. Burns marks on the bed sheets, splatters on the wall and lamp shades. We even found used contacts dried on the carpet. It’s like once you looked close enough you could find more and more issues. They all seemed to be more with the room itself needing upgrades vs just lack of cleaning, but a deep clean wouldn’t hurt either. No bugs/pests from our experience. For the price and location and the bare necessities I was glad to have it.

The customer service was good, but the room was poor. I had a very weird smell. There were spiders and spiderwebs all throughout the room. There’s no telephone in the room to notify anybody. The breakfast taste like cafeteria food at a hospital. The hotel felt like a motel. Sorry but I won’t be turning

I enjoyed my stay here, the waffles were good for breakfast. The eggs and sausage were being thrown away by people so I didn’t even try. They also have cereal and yogurts and muffins. I had no problems with my room and front desk service was nice and helpful. The pool was not swimmable and full of algae or something. Not sure if a hurricane came through recently, but don’t count on swimming here

The only reason i booked here was for the pool and price . The pool was closed the whole day, but had already paid in full. Bath tub had mold on walls , breakfast only had waffles and coffee. Hallways were hot.

I was really pleased with my stay. The free breakfast was a huge part of how awesome my weekend was. One of my biggest pet peeve is to have a really good shower with water pressure. I love a good shower and my room have a good shower, so I had no complaints all weekend.
