I liked the staff , friendly and helpful. Liked the valet staff,very nice. However, ,when i booked i wasnt aware that it was 50.00 a night to veIet. I dont know if that would of been a deal breaker anyway since we only stayed one night. Love that check out is at noon.

Stayed for 3 nights with my family. Great location right off of main street. Restaurants nearby in underground tunnel. Public parking next door at intersection. Nightlife a couple of blocks away. Great pool for the kids and gym for the parents. Bar in hotel but closes at 10pm.

This hotel is run down to say the least. It appears they are doing a remodel as there are storage containers in the parking lot and broken toilets out behind the building. When you try to enter there is caution tape across most of the front entrance. The lobby is dingy and smells moldy. I tried the keys to my room twice and 2 different sets of keys. Finally a made just let me in the room. The room was dark and unwelcoming. The room was in dire need of paint, smelled moldy, I decided I didn’t feel safe and immediately went back to the desk and told them I would not be staying. I do not recommend this hotel at all!

I wouldn't ever stay in downtown Houston again. I would Uber in and out. The city is to blame for allowing the loud cars & motorcycles rev their engines around the downtown. The sounds reverberate throughout the area. A simple 3 car patrol unit could eradicate this problem via noise citations & forced compliance (proof of correction). This isn't Marriott's fault. What is, the first room I was given was right next to the elevator. I specifically requested a room NOT next to it. Upon entering the room, it was obvious the maids didn't finish. No soap, beds unmade, dirty sheets on the chairs, garbage cans on the table. A mess. Second room was "nice" but uncomfortable for the price. The price to value ratio is extremely off here. You do not get what you pay for. Two star rating bc of the cost and what you get. It was clean except for the first room.

Very good hotel. I was here for a concert at the House of Blues. It's an easy walking distance to the venue. There are good restaurant options nearby. Check in and check out were easy. The staff was helpful and attentive. Very clean room with a comfortable bed. Quiet and easy to sleep. I would definitely stay here again for any future concerts or other events I that I may be going to in the future.

I usually stay at the Hilton for the Quilt Show, decided to change this year. From the valets who parked and retrieved my car to the front desk clerk, everyone was professional, knowledgeable and so nice. The room was spotless. Had enough light (which is rare), and the shower was perfect. Only downside was the lobby looked dated and scuffed.

The staff is exceptional! Friendly, helpful and accommodating. Room was clean but the beds and pillows were so hard and the sheets were scratchy. Thankfully i only stayed 1 night. Since it is downtown near a police station and train track, those factors also kept me from sleeping well. The hotel has a nice small bar and the food was excellent. If the beds and pillows were softer i would return. Unfortunately during my next visit to Houston i will be staying elsewhere.

Parking suks 55dollars a night. Tv is old as dirt. Wasnt a smart tv could not watch netflix, amazon prime, hulu even tho remote had the option. Tv was very tiny for the room size this waz not a 9.4 rating lol nice but not 9.4

I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Houston Downtown/Convention Center for its location because it is close to the convention I was attending. I booked a King bed for myself. Room 401 is small and the curtain on the right of the window is not movable. The air conditioner or the heater makes a loud unpleasant sound, which was annoying in such a small room. The shower control makes a loud sound if it is turned to the hot side. What is not tolerable is the smell, which seemed from the hose of the face sink. Once it was turned on, the smell was spread.

The location was overall perfect. So close to everything & the property was very clean. Please thank HAROLD in VALET. He was the friendliest staff member we encountered at the hotel. He truly made our stay so memorable and easy & he had great recommendations for things to do in the area. We were sad to say goodbye!

I had a great stay at this hotel! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean, modern, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. Hotel staff was great! We stayed on the 9th floor and were woken up by a disturbance on the street level around 1:30am. 45 minutes of a screaming match in front of the hotel, heard all the way up on the 9th flooor was disappointing for the price we paid. But we loved the staff!

There were a lot of homeless people around the hotel. However the hotel was nice, very clean, and staff were very friendly. There were lots of activities nearby for adults and children. Inside the hotel there were very Limited dining options, but many options downtown. Overall good experience.
