Great rooms, clean, friendly staff. I work in IT and the way to connect to the WiFi isn't user-friendly at all. I thought the valet service at 40 a night was insane. Parked nearby for 10 a day

The hotel was very nice. I enjoyed my stay. The only downside was it didn’t have a fridge in the room. The pool was nice and clean. The fitness center had a bit of everything needed for a workout. Overall a nice experience.

Staff is not friendly, pool area isn’t very well maintained, gym is below average, rooms are a good size but don’t fit 3 adults like suggested on their website.

Convenient location, nice rooms, parking charge was a little steep

The rooms are old looking and the bathrooms are small. Plus the people next door they're were so loud talking i can hear their conv so i couldn't sleep it was annoying. I was disappointed that the pool was not open.

The property only had 1 elevator out of 4 working. This made each morning extra long as well as the afternoon.

Great location to restaurants and shopping and the Toyota Center. My room was advertised as City view but I had view of the freeway? Also did not like that the pool was not available.

I liked the property.. But I didn’t know about the only valet parking..

Great staff and the shuttle service is a plus. Lobby area is nice however, the rooms are outdated and bathrooms tiny. Definitely time for a remodel. But that didn't hinder my overall stay.

Overall we liked our stay here. The property was nice and clean. The room was spacious. The hotel fitness center was small, but had all of the basics. The only aspect we did not particularly like was the parking. The only option on-site was valet, for a hefty price of $40/night. Wish there was a self park option or other nearby parking options for less.

Clean room

The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean.

Cons: Some maintenance issues. Bathroom: There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, the dispenser for the conditioner broke. The towel rack was covered in dried crusty soap (hopefully that is what it was). General: Visible dust and dirt in corners of the rooms. One of the outlets worked intermittently. Room felt a bit dingey with the old carpet and wallpaper. Pros: Excellent air conditioning, great lighting and blackout curtains. Lots of space and amenities.

they didn't have hot water also the heat took along time to come over 2hrs plus we killed two roaches in the bathroom so we checked out early after the usher concert because my fiancee anxiety went up after discovering the roaches in the bathroom

Shower had lots of white residue and dirt when we first entered the room. Someone came to clean and it was still dirty afterwards.The toilet broke down three times. Told us we could move but would have to move exactly at that moment but we had a concert to go to so we couldn't at that exact moment. They were not accommodating and were not pleasant. Would not recommend at all. Shuttle service was not kind and accommodating either.

The hotel was clean and smelled good as you walked in. Front desk staff was really nice.

The photos of the rooms are a complete lie. The room was extremely dirty and dusty. The air vents were filled with dust and mold. The bathroom was also filthy, with obvious mold around the tub and dirt inside. The bathroom was the size of an airplane bathroom, the photos on the website were completely different. The beds were extremely small. I wasn’t able to look at the full length mirror since it was against a wall with a loveseat in front of it. The TV remote didn’t work and came with confusing instructions. The noise of the highway was extremely loud and I could also hear people from the sidewalk at 4 am. The pool area’s door was unlocked but had construction going on… definitely not worth almost 500 for just 3 nights, it was pitiful. Along with the 50/night valet, which is absurd. We definitely wouldn’t come back nor recommend this hotel to anyone.

Check-in was easy. When we got to our room we found balls of hair in our room from previous guests. This made us feel uneasy about the cleanliness. We asked to switch rooms and the staff was kind. Our new room did not have a fridge. One of the nights there were loud drunk adults literally running around the lobby. The staff did nothing to prevent the disruptive guests from being loud. Would not book with this hotel again.

Nice hotel, very clean and with friendly staff. Buffalo Bayou was a simple but great start to the day, and they were very accommodating. The pool area was nice too. Would recommend!

The hotel is in a great location for Astros baseball, clubs and bars on Main Street, and downtown nightlife. It’s an old hotel. The furniture in my room was old and scratched, the faux tile floors were peeling and had pieces missing. A few of the furniture handles were bent and discolored. The floor molding in the restroom looked like a dog chewed on it.

It was great. Beds were comfortable and the staff was amazing.

The staff was pretty amazing and welcoming. However, the rooms food not match the pictures. The room was dated. Bathroom small and rusty.

The bathroom in our room was really small, cracked tub, the shower handle was broken, and pipes squealed when turned on. I could also hear when rooms above and beside us were showering due to the pipes. It was quite loud from traffic and kids running the hall. Other than that the hotel was nice.

There were very load humming noises every time someone had a shower on the 5 th floor that would vibrate through the whole hallway. Very hard to sleep. Maid service needs to communicate with maintenance department to correct. Also none of the plugs work to charge any electronics. Finally just went to sit in car to charge phone. Nice hobby the rooms are painted to cover up issues. Pillows are very comfortable

The hotel itself needs work. We didn’t have water to take a shower and no one let us know in advance or when checking in. They called after we checked in and let us know. The room phones didn’t work too good. Alot of static. Our one tub in our room had no hot water at all. Making the tub useless. It is a nice place, but needs some work and better communication from staff. They were helpful in directing us around the area.

The hotel staff were amazing and so fast to help with whatever I needed. Great valet service too. It’s just the rooms that I was disappointed with. Very dated rooms and bathrooms. Bedding wasn’t the best either. I expected it to be a bit nicer for a 4 star hotel. Also the internet was extremely slow for me. I think for some people the rooms might be fine, but I travel a lot for work and I need to be comfortable in a newer modern room.

Needs major updating. Elevator very noisy woke us up everyday at 5am when people started leaving. All room doors slammed shut no closers on doors at all.

It was clean and had great service. I didn't particularly appreciate that it didn't have a mini refrigerator.

I had a wonderful experience thanks to John at the front desk. His exceptional customer service truly stood out and made my stay feel extra special from the moment I arrived. He was warm, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.

The hotel was great but the service was EXCELLENT! The manager, Jon, took such good care of us and all our guests. We will definitely come back and hold more events at Whitehall!

I would come back, the staff was amazing! Everyone was super nice. Out driver Joe gave excellent service. The front desk was the best!!

After a terrible experience with my booking at the Hyatt, we decided to head straight to The Whitehall—and I’m so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and understanding. They truly turned our stressful situation into a great stay. The service was top-tier, and everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. I can’t thank them enough. This hotel knows how to treat their guests right!

No one notified us that there was no air conditioning until I went to the front desk.

I dislike complaining but it was one thing after another. -checked in rooms are old, ran down, and falling apart. Front desk says that’s bc it’s a historic building. Historic and maintained are totally different. Wallpaper peeling off, cracked floors, dirty light switches, dirty cups in room, hair in room. The lobby is nice and updated but thats just for appeal. Went to get ice no ice, went to another floor no ice, called front desk no answer, went to front desk and they told me I was wrong and that there is ice and questioned if I called. I wasn’t going to defended myself and asked please direct me to the ice. Found it on 4th floor. Morning time came, I went to day park $20 bc I’m not overnighting $45. They told me I couldn’t get my car and if I left it would be another $20. I assumed day park was for day and I could go and come. For meeting and food. That was very disappointing and seems like they are pinched for money everywhere instead of having a luxury standard. I then went to restaurant and they told me for my breakfast thats included with room that I needed a voucher. I didn’t see a voucher so I went to room to double check. Nothing. They failed to give me vouchers at check in. Went to front desk and same guy who check me in questioned me and said i didn’t give them to you, you don’t have them. No sir. He finally gave them to me. I went back to restaurant.Waiter behind bar is gossiping about news and such as they have a line and breakfast ends soon. Il

The top 3 for Whitehall Houston during my stay. 1) The staff is WONDERFUL!! Very professional, greeted me every time I entered the lobby area and valet station. If I called with a request it was given the attention required at that time, no delay. 2) The appearance in the lobby, loading area, and hotel restaurants had modern finishes that gave hints of upscale and comfort. 3) The hotel had a peaceful atmosphere; very quiet but inviting.

Great location in downtown H-town!

The beds here are really comfortable, and the location is just right—super convenient and close to everything. It’s near the Astros stadium, which was a big plus for me. There’s also a lot to do around the area, with plenty of restaurants and things to explore. A great spot for both relaxation and fun!

Close to Minute Maid Park

Front desk staff, Kelvin and Shirley, were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure. Close to a lot of good restaurants also.

Pretty nice hotel but noisy since it’s right by the highway. Transients hanging around the area. Limited parking!

I loved staying at this hotel, it was near a lot of things I wanted to do. The staff was helpful and so nice no matter what time I came in. The valet was 24hrs daily. I would stay here again

Hotel and service was great. The location downtown was not as desirable and the pool (right next to the freeway) is anything but useful. Other than that, the stay was very comfortable.

The hotel has great food/beverage options. The Buffalo Bayou coffee shop was simply awesome. The customer service was excellent. The hotel is also in close proximity to the baseball arena as well as other restaurants. It was very easy to get around.

White Hall is a fave of mine, because I am always greeted with a smile and tended to with kindness. Room is always clean with a very comfy bed and cold ac. The restaurant/bar staff is excellent, and the food is delicious!

I ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was good. The area has lots of dining options within walking distance.

Good location, staff were excellent. The only negative thing was at Edgar's, I went there on 3 seperate nights for a meal and drinks, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced but each night there was only 1 man working behind the bar which meant customers were having to wait 15 to 20 minutes to get served which was not acceptable. For this reason I have rated the hotel 4 stars, otherwise it would have been 5

I was excited to book this stay for New Years Eve! I booked it because it had two restaurants, a coffee shop and breakfast included with our stay. Unfortunately, when we arrived, Valet parking was $50 to start off, only one restaurant was open and the coffee shop was also closed. In the morning (apparently, breakfast was not included with my stay).. I had to pull up my app which stated it was! Our room had no soap and minimal shampoo and conditioner. I really wish we had a better experience.

First time staying here and it won’t be our last. Shout out to John at the front desk he was so kind and professional!! Each time I came through the lobby he always remembered my name. We also enjoyed the bar for some great drinks and service.

This hotel is perfect, from the wonderful smell it has when you enter to the friendly staff. The room was comfortable and the bed great. Hot water at all time. Breakfast and dinner was also so good. Recommend!!!!

I was extremely dissatisfied with my charges at Edgar’s, when I picked up my dinner on 3/4/25. I was charged an additional $62.04 for liquor, I did not have. I do not drink. Trying to get this charge removed but not having much luck. I was told I needed to call back.

Very accommodating; excellent service; breakfast was great. Walked to Hobby Center for Performing Arts easily.

The staff was superb. We dined at the restaurant several times and the bartender James was especially friendly and thoughtful.
