Elevator was out for the entire 3 days so walking the stairs with luggage wasn’t a pleasant experience. TV in my room was distorted and even worse was their ads telling me how they have upgraded their tvs every time I turned it on. Staff was pleasant I will say and coffee was good

Shower didn't work in the first room and it had pest. Second room was no better. They had no dishes or supplies for you to use. I had to go buy some. The dishwasher was molded or looked like it. The refrigerator would shake when you opened and closed it. The elevator buttons didn't work you have to push the up button to make it work. None of the outside security doors worked.

The hallways were dirty. The outside doors were not working to unlock so they had sticks stuck in them so they would not close and lock. At 8:00 a.m. they had entry doors locked and desk clerk said it was for their safety. Did not make you feel very safe staying there.

Ice machine out of service all three days stairway litter and dark dirty stain around stairway handles poor lighting in bathroom non-functional bathroom fan No coffee in breakfast area two days and after waiting for it for 20 mins on the day of leaving (while waiting on ride) the agent filled it with coffee that tasted so old I poured it out and had tea; the granola bars were okay in the hospitals yougurt because they were old and very crumbly. A lower price compared to hotels near MD Anderson med center was the only plus.

Seems like every time stay here, the elevator is not working. Is it permanently inoperative or am just lucky? They put me on the 3rd floor as far away from the stairwell as possible. Inconvenient to say the least. Also, there is a homeless camp on the other side of the fence behind the property. Does not feel safe at all. May be my last stay here.

Unprofessional stuff ( one person is saying one thing and the other one is saying totally opposite thing). Some stuff is rude. Weed smell on the first floor at night. Dirty carpet in the hallways. Old and/or dirty floors in the room.

The first room (151) we were given was never cleaned and the entire hall smelled of marijuana. We got the front desk to change our room. The second room (125).. the A/C didn’t work well, there were roaches in kitchen area, there were fully exposed electrical outlets, barely any water pressure, and that hall also reeked of marijuana and cigarettes. We took a very long trip to visit Texas children’s hospital and we had no choice but the stay in this place bc of the condition my severely disabled son was in due to the exhaustion from the drive.

Lobby and halls were clean. Room was a roach den. Roaches were all over the kitchen and bathroom counters. Room was clean, but roaches everywhere. Didn't realize it had roaches until we were ready for bed. I killed several that night and the next morning. Even on the bathroom counter. The ice machine was "broken". One washcloth in the bathroom. Glad I brought an extra. The person at the front desk was somewhat rude and very disinterested in her job. At 8:00 I went to desk to ask about where the ice machine was and it took her a while to come out from office to counter. She had been asleep. Told me the ice machine was broken. I laid away until 1:30 a.m. listening to thumping and bumping music coming from a parked car outside under my window. It sat there for over 2 hours playing music with headlights on. I was on the 2nd floor. When I checked out the next morning, I told the desk clerk about the roaches and she said, "Maybe they'll have them under control for your next stay." Ha! There won't be a "next stay". Will never stay there again.

My room was infested with roaches, female roaches carrying egg sacks, male roaches, baby roaches. It was so bad I had to sleep with the lights on hoping they would hide. There were so many roaches that they were moving around with the lights on I spent at least an hour before going to bed killing roaches. I put my items in the refrigerator. I wrapped up other items in clear plastic trash cans bags making sure there they were airtight. The grab and go breakfast was a joke no muffins, no hot water for tea the coffee temperature was lukewarm. This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed at in my LIFE.

I stayed there before and had a pretty good experience so I booked again. This time was a little disappointing. The room smelled awful, the latch was broken on the door, the bathroom door had cracks and holes in it. My daughter was scared to go to the restroom after finding a roach by the tub. I liked the hotel because its convenient to the childrens hospital, but for comfort and peace of mind I'll have to look elsewhere.

Compared to the motel I fled from it was much better. Everything worked although several outlets were tied to light switches which took a bit to figure out. The laundry was not on the advertised 2nd floor but on the 3rd and the elevator was broken. I could literally walk 10 minutes around the corner and be in the main MD Anderson complex. Full size fridge. Didn't need any of the extras so didn't ask. The WiFi login didn't work well with my phone so used it as a hotspot for my laptop. TV also had a strange blue shift so didn't watch it

Our room was clean and neat but the refrigerator and dishwasher looked to be well used and needed to be replaced. When the fridge would cut off it would rattle loudly. It was hard to sleep.

It’s a nice room with a kitchenette. It would have been nice if there was two chairs to sit at the table. We couldn’t figure out how to use the shower because there wasn’t an attachment to turn it on. It’s nice that it’s not far from the hospitals. A shuttle service would be great.

The room had a lot of space. Other than a car alarm that went on and off all night for one of our nights sleep, the hotel was quiet. It was pretty clean, too. But the lighting in the room was terrible. It was dim and just an odd color. I don’t know what bulbs they use but I had to open the curtains and sit by the window to put makeup on. It was impossible to see in the mirror by the sink. The ice machine didn’t work in the hotel so we had to fill up our ice trays in the refrigerator and wait for them to thaw so my husband could use it for an ice pack. The shower head was not working on one half so it was hard to get a good flow coming out to take a shower. I washed my hair in the kitchen sink because it was much easier. But when I went to look for a hair dryer, I couldn’t find one. The info paper by the phone said if wanted one, we could request it from the front desk. So I did but they said they didn’t have any. A hotel who doesn’t have a hair dryer? This wasn’t one of the cheapest hotels so I thought they would have one.

The walls are as thin as tissue paper. You can hear the people in neighboring rooms talk (and most of the time argue/fight). The clientele is a bit suspect and some of the characters hanging around the outside of the hotel were a bit sketchy. The access door on the north side of the hotel didn’t work with the room key and access late at night did not always work with the key.

Our stay was better than the others. The staff was friendly, we got the bottom floor close to the door as requested. My momma is a cancer patient and disabled this helped greatly. We were also right around the corner from the hospital so no excessive travel or stress. The front desk lady ( can’t remember her name) was super in getting us what we needed. We will be having more visits to the hospital so most likely be staying again

I had to sleep in my car. Why? Because I stepped out to get water from the store and when I tried to get back in my room, the card key did not work, so I went to the front desk and there was no one there! It was 11:30pm and there was nobody there to help. Called them, called customer service and I had no help at all. I had to stay in my car until past 5AM so they could fix the card key. Refund? I don’t think they’d agree

I had an early flight into Houston for late afternoon appointments at MD Anderson. I had a reservation and Six hours to kill but they wouldn’t let me check in early. We called saying we were arriving late. We were told it’s not a problem. We get there at 11pm and nobody is at the counter . There is another family that’s been there waiting and calling for 15 minutes trying to get ahold of someone. Nobody showed we couldn’t check in. Waited until 11:45pm and booked another hotel.

Staff were super friendly. Even helped my senior dad look for his wallet he lost! The hotel itself was clean but air vents were really dirty. Ac didn’t work the first night but was quick to fix the next day. Love the staff not the hotel.

This is a very affordable hotel close to the large Texas Medical University /MD Anderson Campus. It is older, but had complete kitchenette. The front desk staff was very responsive and helpful for all my requests.

It is what it is. Room was clean. Smoke alarm was missing, the whole shower fixture was loose and the bed felt like a bunch of cardboard boxes. AC worked good though and you do get a full kitchen. For an emergency stay at a cheap price i cant really complain. Destiny at the frint counter was super nice as well.

Place was fine for 1-night stay. Hotel should take some pride in their facility and replace old tattered curtains. Look from outside is drab and sets the standard. Get rid of broken down cars in parking lot. Also, breakfast was not good - Coffee and instant oatmeal - no fresh fruit or anything of the sort. We were there to visit our family who recently had major surgery and will be there for at least a month - probably will not come back to this hotel.

Furnishings and general upkeep (walls, carpet, doors, elevator) were noticeably more dated and rundown than other ESA locations. Whole facility smelled like mildew. Loiterers in parking lot all evening hanging out at vehicles, people repeatedly propping open side door with a rock so anyone could come and go without an entry card. Breakfast is Nutrigrain bars, small packaged muffins and oatmeal packets with coffee urns. Fridge was not very cold and my meal went bad overnight. Plus sides were bed and shower seemed clean which is mostly what I needed. Staff was nice enough. Would stay again only in a pinch but otherwise will go elsewhere.

There were also no extra sheets for the sofa bed (I understand they don’t have to be in the room, I’m not upset at that) but when I went down to the front desk for more, there was no one there. I even called the number on the phone for extra sheets but no one ever answered.

The rooms were clean, I like a full kitchen. The elevator was not working and the thermostat in the room was pre programed so it keeps reverting to the set temp every couple of hours. Woke up in middle of night burning up and the AC was changed again, made it hard to sleep well and get comfortable. They advertise a breakfast but all they had was coffee and 1package of instant oatmeal, nothing like their pictures advertised.

Overall, this is NOT as advertised. I was happy our sheets and towels looked fresh and clean however, the room itself is VERY OLD and rundown. Flooring in the bathroom coming up, small ants, water damage, fan broken....... They advertised a breakfast and there was only coffee (their delivery didn't arrive) and that was for both days we were there (huh, delivery didn't happen two days in a row???). Their elevator was broken..... We picked this place to be within walking distance of MD Anderson and I will never stay again. I'd rather UBER and have a place I felt was ok.

The elevator was not working. Also, there was no grab and go breakfast. According to the front desk person, they had run out of everything and didn’t know when they would be getting more. We selected this facility over others because of its reviews and the grab and go breakfast. We were very disappointed.
