Business trip for a conference at the convention center across the street. Convenient "Sky Bridge" to keep me safe from the weather and the drivers. The gym got a little crowded, and there was never anyone at the gym desk to talk to me about a steam room or sauna, but otherwise, everything was all right. Great that Pappasito's was immediately across from the elevators!

I’ve stayed at Hilton Americas houston many times and have always enjoyed it. The room service staff is friendly and competent. The restaurant staff is excellent. The buffet breakfast is legendary, one of the best I’ve ever had, and it includes a fantastic omelet bar. The lobby bar is also legendary. It’s very big with a great selection of side dishes. The bridge from hotel to the George R Brown convention center is handy, especially in the summer!

Breakfast and food options are great. Rooms are well kept. Lobby is spacious and clean, pool and jacuzzi was great. We enjoyed wonderful views of the city from our room. The hotel is in great walking distance to event center and restaurants. Staff was helpful & the bed was comfortable, i definitely enjoyed my stay at the Hilton. As a side note parking is $40 a day so just plan for it!

This is our favorite hotel to stay in Houston. Staff are marvelous, pool and jacuzzi are great, rooms are comfortable, and location is convenient. Only drawbacks are that the $40/over night parking fee is steep for guests and the sky view bar closed an hour before closing hours, so we didn’t get to have a drink up here.

Very dusty room. Layers of dust, so much so we were upgraded to a Junior Suite. Which ended up still being rather dusty, just less dusty than the first. I ended up super sick. I was having allergy- related issues even though I don’t have allergies. Had to use Xyzal and a nasal spray to make it through this trip. It wasn’t until the end that I realized it was the dusty room making me sick. $900 for 4 nights and we were dealing with dust! Blows my mind! And brown fridge and toilet issues, flushes are slow to fill back up to flush again. Smh….

I was disappointed that our bathroom sink was completely clogged up on first use. Can't imagine that housekeeping wouldn't have encountered this when cleaning up after prior guests. Engineering was dispatched and did clear the clogged drain. Unfortunately, they also removed the stopper entirely which left a stench emanating from the drain. Needless to say we were grossed out trying to brush our teeth or use the sink altogether.

The staff I interacted with was amazing. The reason I give a 2 star review was because when I turned down the bedding after arriving in my room about 1am, there was no fitted sheet. The bed had only been made with a regular sheet & comforter. I was totally exhausted and only wanted to jump in the bed but had to sleeping top of a regular sheet and a comforter.

Overall the experience was okay, but the property could do with better maintenance of the rooms. The ceiling in the bathroom had a rotten spot from an old leak and a small utility access door in the bathroom had significant amounts of rust build up around the frame.. those eyesores lead me to inspect the room further and that’s when we found lots of hair on the floors in the bathroom and closet area.

I checked in at 12am and was sent to a room that hadn't been cleaned. Seems like a pretty basic thing to manage. Had to return to front desk and get a new room. Breakfast voucher or something would have been nice.

Found something in the sheets that was yellow and wet, just put a towel on it. Carpets were worn and dated. Had to ask a lot of questions just to find out about every detail of the hotel. Would not recommend.

Great hotel, walking distance to baseball, basketball and convention center.. the only bad thing I can say and it’s not a huge thing is I wish security would walk the floors occasionally or more often if they do..as people were listening to music and you could hear it in the halls and on another occasion people were arguing in the hall for a while and it was really loud but I’m sure that rarely happens .. but other than that the hotel is great, staff was great check-in and check out was easy.

In town for an Astros baseball game. Check-in was quick. The front desk employee was very nice and helpful. The room was nice. Great view of downtown Houston. Unfortunately, a lot of outside street noise could be heard from our room. The bathroom door was a sliding door that didn’t shut all the way. So if someone is the room with you, they can hear everything you’re doing in the bathroom. lol. Other than that, it was a nice room.

The size of the standard room is great. You don't feel cramped and it feels quite luxurious. The shower is one of the best of all the hotels I stay in. This is incredibly convenient if you are attending a conference at the George R. Brown convention center.

We stayed for a quick trip during spring break. Our room shower leaked all over the floor and the sink faucet leaked when turning on the water a made the entire sink too wet which made all of our personal belongings wet on top of the counter. The AC didn’t work well and our TV was h plugged and we were finally able to figure out how to reconnect it in order to watch something on our last night. The only upside is how close this hotel is to the Toyota Center and some downtown restaurants.

We stayed here because it was right next door to the Toyota Center. The hotel is a gorgeous property. The area surrounding the hotel was very nice... food, entertainment, and green space. We had a drink at one of the bars. The drink was great and the service was wonderful. We had a late night snack and one of the restaurants, even though they got slammed by a big crowd, I felt like they handled it well. The food was great. We would definitely recommend this property and will plan to stay here in the future. My only complaint was that the check in line (including Hilton Honors) was slow.

The place was nice, but the staff not so friendly. Security was rude, except the parking garage manager. My son's vehicle was broke into the first night and THE ONLY PERSON, willing to HELP us, was the parking garage manager. Hilton said it was not their responsibility, but you tell me how can it not be any of their responsibility if that is where you have to park AND the Hilton is the one that charges a person 42.50 per night!!! We paid for parking, that HAS security cameras!!

5 minutes walking of Toyota center, if you will go to any concert or event, this Hilton is your best option. The only thing that I don liked was that they have only one mexican restaurant that is not good, they have one starbucks but closes early from monday to tuesday.

The staff was amazing. Pappasitos restaurant take out staff and bar-stellar considering it was jam packed with various conference attendees. 24th Floor staff. Amazing. What was not amazing what was offered in the Exec Lounge on the the 24th floor. The stale bananas and apples along with the sugary Nutragrain bar are relics from the 1990's. The breakfast was boring apart from the beautiful roasted vegetables and roasted potatoes. You can save the hard boiled eggs and mushy oatmeal. In 2024, I would expect a busy executive to be able to start their day with eggs made to order, plant based meat options and fresh fruit beyond a banana and an apple. I would expect better beverages beyond coca cola products but did appreciate the Pellegrino that was available. Someone should investigate better breakfast and snack options for the 24th floor. I'm happy to pay extra but the experience made me feel like I was at a Homesuites or Springhill suites.

If you are attending a conference at the George R. Brown Convention Center, the Hilton Americas is worth the extra cost. After being on your feet all day in likely uncomfortable shoes, being in close proximity is key. The shower is amazing and rooms are always clean. Great restaurant options and lobby bar is great for event networking.

We stayed here because it was right next door to the Toyota Center. The hotel is a gorgeous property. The area surrounding the hotel was very nice... food, entertainment, and green space. We had a drink at one of the bars. The drink was great and the service was wonderful. We had a late night snack and one of the restaurants, even though they got slammed by a big crowd, I felt like they handled it well. The food was great. We would definitely recommend this property and will plan to stay here in the future. My only complaint was that the check in line (including Hilton Honors) was slow.
