Sheraton Houston Brookhollow Hotel

Trying to get to the property was difficult. The room and bathroom were clean but very dated. The AC was fantastic for a hot Texas summer night. The lobby and bar area were very relaxing and inviting. Overall I would stay here again.

Minus the elevators being down a lot, it was fine.

Overall the stay was good however the hotel has a mildew smell upon entry and even in the rooms. Never figured out the WiFi information. Staff were helpful and friendly. The pool was clean but the hot tube was Luke warm and not working.

The hotel was adequate for the reasonable price - even better than some comparable options. However, it doesn't quite meet the standards I expect from a Sheraton. While not bad, the property shows its age. It was likely much nicer when newer, but now feels dated. The rooms had a slight musty smell (not overwhelming), and the bathrooms were small. The mattresses and sheets looked better than they felt. Unfortunately, the pool was closed and there were no outdoor lounge areas. Overall, it's a decent value option, just don't expect typical Sheraton quality.

The pool area and “hot” tub was a huge negative for me. I thought it was inconsiderate to have other customers play their loud music pool side. Also the hot tub was cold. According to the temp gauge on the side of the hot tub it was only 83 degrees. I don’t believe I will be returning to your hotel moving forward.

I had a Club room for two nights. The room had nice towels and the bed was good. A nice chair for relaxing and a good desk. No robe, slippers. No microwave nor fridge. The club is not what I expected. Access to sodas, water, and coffee. Some fruit and granola bars. No reception. No food. There is a bar in the hotel. I was excited to hear they were having snacks on the two evenings I was there but it was so sad. A small tray of cheese cubes and fruit then two choices of wine which were poured into a plastic cup. I think they poured one inch of wine. It felt like a wine tasting. Very weird. The next nice was beer only. Once again poured from cans into a plastic cup. Why the club was not set up for a nice experience was strange. Restaurant food for dinner was bad. Actually got sick from my sandwich. Breakfast cost $20 each. Don’t think I will stay there again.

Great location, easy access, plenty of parking, great breakfast, gym. However hallway is dated and some touches can be updated. Clean just dated. Bathroom is a bit tight

This hotel is overall a good alternative to the expensive ones in the downtown or Galleria area. If you don't mind driving 15-20 min to downtown at the expense of massive savings for the price per room, definitely consider this Sheraton. Amenities are not great and the area is not central or hot but the hotel is clean, staff is nice and the price makes it all worth it if you have your own car. Parking is free (!!!) and they even give you 2 bottle of water for free!

I submitted a review earlier and now we have just discovered that we brought back bedbugs from our stay at the Sheraton Brookhollow August 15 - 18. Please let the Sheraton know they should check the room we stayed in, #514, for bed bugs!

The pictures are absolutely deceiving. Bathroom had mold, sheets had stains, lamp shades were stained, the air conditioning wreaked of mildew, carpets were dirty, etc. Was very disappointed.

The place is very old especially the inside of the bedroom the carpet in the bedroom was sticky IT DID NOT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURES.

Had a very bad experience at this hotel. We found bed bugs. Never booking a stay here again.

This Sheraton property is extremely outdated and has dirty/dingy fixtures throughout. The most alarming part of my stay was that we had two dirty pillows on the bed. When I asked for clean pillows we were brought with another pillow that also had black mascara stains. The other issue with our room was that the toilet had little to no water pressure. Flushing was basically… not happening. I would not stay here again based off of the outdated/old condition of the rooms and hotel and sheer cleanliness and functionality of the room.

Don't believe what you see in the lobby. The rooms are really run down, and poorly cleaned.

Property is outdated. I would expect much more from a brand like Sheraton. Carpet is old, dirty, smelly. Rooms lack basically everything: no microwave, no fridge, no nothing. At least in some basic motels we can get those... Staff was excellent, very kind and breakfast was well above average.

The place was nice but the bed wasn’t very comfortable and the towels seemed very worn. Slow elevators. Service was friendly but they seemed understaffed.

Our one night stay was great. The room temperature was good and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Older building that does need some repair but overall a great hotel to stay at.

This is an extremely old property with outdated amenities. The shower is a 1950's tile with an excessive amount of staining. There is no refrigerator or microwave available. The customer/guest service was amazing. The staff was extremely pleasant, very attentive, and resolved any issues in an expedient manner.

The only redeeming quality about this hotel, was the gentleman who checked us in and checked us out the next day. The hallways are muggy, warm, and lacking any modern updates within the last 30 years. The stains on the carpets, walls, and mold in the corners of the hallway and room certainly add to that. All 3 elevators sound and feel like they haven't been serviced in decades, and at any moment could stop mid-floor. Which is concerning, since there is no AC in the hallways or elevators and only compound the feelings of claustrophobia. The room was smaller than anticipated. Even for fitting a king bed in the room, it left limited room. It felt very dated, no modern amenities, not enough USB charging ports.

Clean and convenient. But walls are paper thin- you can hear people talking as if they’re in your room and when someone flushes the toilet, you hear it loudly.

Very old building, old rooms, old AC, old bathrooms... Definitely needs some remodeling.

Staff and service very nice. Room and facility clean. But the bed was horrible to my back! Bathroom door too close to toilet and shower/tub very cramped.

Rooms are nice. Lobby area was busy, loud and raucous. No staff at front desk to check in when arrived in evening so had to wait. No buzzer or bell at front desk to request assistance.

I was having a bad day when I arrived but the very nice lady at the front desk was very nice, friendly, and made me realize that I don’t need to keep having a bad day. Great employee. 9:15 5/14/24

Staff is always friendly. Got assigned a room that smelled like cigarettes, the whole floor smelled like cigarettes. A bunch of (I believe to be) employees yelling at one end of the hall kept us awake. We requested a different room and that helped.

The accomodations were above average and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and memorable

Great service at front desk.

I stayed at the hotel last weekend and overall had a good experience. The staff was super friendly and courteous, which really made a difference. The only downside was that the pictures online didn’t quite match the actual look and feel of the building and room, they were a bit nicer in the photos than in real life. Still, it was a comfortable stay, just not exactly what I expected based on the pictures.

Awful staff who were incredibly rude. Hotel had no water on the second day. Not their fault as the city shut off water to the area but no heads up, no apologies, no offer of some sort of compensation/suggestions of ways they could help and when I asked when water might be back, I was bluntly and rudely told to call the city myself if I wanted to know. In general the hotel was grotty, old and unclean but the issue with water and more to the point the treatment by staff was the part that I found totally unacceptable.

Oscar, who worked at service desk was not friendly at all. When I entered my room, I checked the bed and it was a stain on the sheets. I went downstairs and spoke with Oscar and requested another room.I was given keys to another room but Oscar never apologized for the inconvenience. He acted as if he was annoyed by my request.

I BOOKED THIS ROOM FOR ONE OF MY WORKERS AND NO WHERE DID IT SAY THEY NEED A CREDIT CARD UPON CHECKIN. DONT HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THAT. THE ISSUE IS THE "MANAGER" CAN ONLY EMAIL ME THE FORM AND IS NOT AVAIL FOR AN HOUR AND MY WORKER HAD TO SIT THERE BECAUSE THE HOTEL NEEDS THEIR $100 "JUST IN CASE" $. THEY CANT LET HIM GOT TO HIS ROOM AND SHOWER AND RELAX UNTIL THE MANAGER IS AVAIL. NOT A VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE EXP SORRY. HOTEL IS AMAZING, DESK STAFF NOT SO MUCH

Clean great location

We had a short stay. The staff was very lovely and accommodating. The property had everything for basic needs. It is in a convienen location even when its not quite walkable.

Hotel seemed very nice walking into the lobby but once you’re in your room you realize how dated the hotel truly is. The staff were friendly and helpful, just the hotel needs renovating. The hotel smells of musty carpet and Lysol. Our mattress had stains all over the sides once the sheets were lifted back, the room was clean other than that. The location wasn’t very convenient if you’re wanting to head downtown but that was our own fault for not researching the area before hand. Also the outdoor pool was closed. Overall it was an okay stay, just needs some fixing up.

Ate that the bar and paid. Went to check out and they said I billed it to the room. 20 dollars for that breakfast buffet is a joke and is provided as part of the deal at cheaper hotels. The room was just good enough and zero of the staff didn't at some point sound like they hated their job. I will not go here again.

I booked with this hotel extremely concerned after reading the reviews. The location was too perfect to pass up, the Sheraton Brookhollow is located .8 of a mile from my daughter's home. Check in was easy, and efficient...they made me feel welcomed, they even let me check in a couple hours early! They furnished my room with the roll in cot and sizable refrigerator. Although the room is a bit dated, as is the hotel (I think then 'S' in Sheraton is cracked) This hotel has 'great bones' and apparently excellent management. Every aspect of my stay was above average service! The only real caveat: the hot tub was cold. The pool was warm, but when I went down at 9pm to relax in the hot tub it was cold. Disappointing. Another room for improvement is the coffee break area. They set it up on this tiny table and there should be a container of milk and a container of cream. Put it on a bigger table. Refresh it often. A few times I came down at 8:15-8:30 and it was empty and the area was wrecked. Even after I let the front desk know about it, the lady just cleaned it up and put it away. On the weekends it's even worse, you have to go into the restaurant and make your coffee in there. Even in there, it's those BS creamer cups, and you have to crack open like 10 of those just to get your coffee mediocre. Please management, fix your coffee problem, because coffee is a big deal to practically every guest. There should also be an area describing the history of the hotel,
