The room was very nice. The valet/parking was a mess. Elevators were terrible.

Clean room, nice staff. Bar service was great, didn’t get my blue Hawaiian quite right the first time but it was better the second!

Had trouble getting out the garage 30min or more . At a time! The whole 4 days! Very irritating

Property is nice enough, but $32 a day for parking will keep me from returning.

The room size and layout is wonderful. Love the separate living room and TV, dining table, mini fridge, and very nice espresso machine and pods. Did not care for the fairly loud highway noise, hard and uncomfortable bed, scratchy sheets and towels. It seems to be an older building which has been remodeled with a nice contemporary look, but not so exacting standards in terms of craftsmanship. The bar is very nice. The pool is on the small side and lacked any landscaping. Everyone was very friendly and professional, and provided very nice service.

It was a great stay. Rooms are nice, clean, and updated. The lobby was noisy with lots of people hanging out. They need to monitor parking. A car waited for us to leave so they could follow us out to avoid paying.

At the time of our stay, the pool wasn’t open because they were doing renovations.

Great property! However self parking was $32/day and valet was $42/day….

Great hotel for a business trip or small family. The rooms are freshly updated, spacious, and have a nice separate sitting room and bedroom. Bed is comfortable, water pressure in the shower is outstanding, and the table area is perfect for getting work done. The parking fees are comparable with every other hotel in the Galleria area, and valet is fast with bringing your vehicle out. My only real critique is the lighting in the rooms. My room had bright white/daylight style bulbs rather than the warmer color temperature I would expect in a room like that. It makes an otherwise very nicely designed room feel a bit cold and stark. I'd recommend changing that.

The hotel is in a great area, you can walk to galleria very easily. Staff was great! The only thing is that they didn’t clean our room and also that the room is kind of damaged, dirty walls, loose restroom but other than that it was okay. Another good thing is that our room was huge, it had like two rooms 😃

I was looking forward to this stay, given my previous positive experiences with Hilton properties. However, I was disappointed, especially considering the hotel is advertised as a 4-star establishment. Firstly, within 30 minutes of checking in, a stranger knocked on my door asking if I could help her find someone, which was odd and just sketchy. Secondly, the cleanliness of the room was below expectations. The floor tiles were dirty, the bed sheets felt rough and didn’t appear clean, the refrigerator had an unpleasant odor, and the furniture was visibly unclean. While I've had worse experiences, I would rate this hotel a maximum of 3 stars. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning

Very quiet and staff was great/professional. The room could’ve been cleaned better. There were shoes in my room from previous residents. Things just weren’t wiped down properly at all.

The Chifley was perfectly adequate, I stayed in a family room. There were 5 of us and the room accommodated 6 people. The sofa-bed was very uncomfortable and the duvets cover was old and disintegrated on the inside, the bedding had visible signs of wear and tear. The room was tired and needed a refresh. The room could have been better cleaned, the door had dirt marks and the floor and bathroom wasn't cleaned as thoroughly as it should have been. However, the service was very good and staff polite and helpful. The pool was lovely and bar great for cocktails. The overall decor of the lobby is stylish and fun. Despite the negatives set out above we enjoyed our stay in the Chiefly

Room was very nice, bed was comfortable. Lobby, and hallways smell like mildew. Definitely need to fix whatever is going on with that. Check in was easy, parking was easy. Not a bad stay.

Updated and clean room. Bed was comfortable. We loved the outdoor pool. Enjoyed lunch at the restaurant on site.

Overall, a beautiful and clean hotel. Loved how spacious the rooms were. A microwave in the room or in the marketplace would be nice. Add a hot tub to the pool area.

My only complaint was the bed. I was going to complain about the bed being hard but once my husband came to bed he said it was hard I knew it wasn’t me and went to sleep on the couch. Everything else was good just not a good night of rest

The hotel it’s beautiful and very clean, our room was very spacious the only thing that I did not like about the hotel is that since it’s right by the freeway it’s very noise.

I had nothing but great experiences in this hotel. I will stay here every time I visit Houston. The cleaning staff, the front desk, the wait staff in restaurant, the bartenders, everything was fantastic!

Very poor check in experience. I had prepaid for my 2 night stay and my brother and his family was also staying there and checked in hours before I did. The desk clerk insisted that I had not prepaid and wanted to charge me over $900 on my card. I told her that they had probably given my brother my room by mistake. The desk never acknowledged that and said that my brother had given them my name. What a joke. Very insulting and unprofessional. They never apologized for their mistake and never even acknowledged that a mistake had been made

The Good: Location was very close to good restaurants and The Galleria. The rooms have good space with the living room area. The Bad: 😒…When you first walk in you take in a strong stench of what smells like gas. The strongest area for this is near the elevators but you can smell it other areas in the lobby. Staff is a large problem for me. When arriving I had questions about my reservation and the woman running the front desk was very short and not forthcoming with answers. I had to ask several follow up questions to get clarification for what I needed. The following day not only was our toilet clogged, but our room phone wouldn’t work. The toilet was fixed quickly but no one ever came to check out the phone. We had to call the front desk using our personal phones if we needed assistance. The other issue with staff I had was about parking. When I explained that my car was no longer registered as requested the woman at the desk (different one from the first day) was very rude. She only asked for my room number and email address then walked off. No communication about what we will do to fix the issue. When she returned she totally ignored me and proceeded to help 3 new customers who had since walked up. I finally had to interrupt and ask her what next steps were. Overall my stay was mid. I was disappointed.

I expected more from a Hilton Hotel! The customer service was subpar. Mary worked front desk the few days I stayed and she was so not friendly. It was like it would physically hurt her to smile or be welcoming. Matt was so very rude one of the nights I called down and asked for clean towels. I waited an hour! Anna was the best. She was very nice and respectful. I got the chance to thank her personally for such great service. She deserves a promotion. Literally the only one at the front desk that was professional.

During my recent stay, I encountered several service issues that I believe merit management review. There was no housekeeping service provided in the morning, and no turndown or turnover service was available. I also had repeated difficulty reaching the front desk for assistance. When I requested extra towels and a comforter, no action was taken until I went to the front desk in person, and even then, I was unable to receive a fresh comforter. The front desk attendant informed me there was no microwave available, and the pillows provided caused skin irritation—something I have never experienced at other hotels. While the property itself is beautiful, it was somewhat difficult to locate, even for Houston locals. Unfortunately, the level of service did not reflect the high cost of the stay, and I believe better service could be found at a lower rate nearby. I documented my experience, including several interactions, and would appreciate the opportunity for hotel management to reach out and address these concerns before I share a full public review.

Everything was great. We swam. We ordered dinner. Valet was great. My only complaint is that the phone did not work to call down stairs so I had to walk down to ask for bedding for the sofa bed. And hours later I still had not received the bedding. The lady downstairs told me that I gave her the wrong room number even though I knew I did not.

I usually have a great stay at the Chifley but this time not so favorable. Housekeeping didn’t clean my room for 2 days, my stay was only for 3. Room service brought me cold coffee and it was a significant delay to get another one. The front desk/text concierge was not that accommodating.

The hotel was clean, modern and in a great location

I stay here every time I visit my family. It’s clean, quiet and luxurious without crazy prices. It’s located in a great area of Houston. Easy access to the highway. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The hotel is beautiful! No problems with check in. The Houston Galleria is right across the street. Plenty of restaurants and shops within 15 minute drive of the hotel! If I return to Houston, I would not hesitate to stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay at the Chifley Houston. It was conveniently located to every activity my friend and I participated in, which was within 10 minutes. The maximum was about 20 minutes with traffic. Thereare plenty of food options, and conveniences. It was walkable for quick trips. Available transportation for lyfts/ubers didn't take long. The property has a bar/restaurant that is good. Happy hour is available on the weekends as well. The hotel staff was courteous and always spoke; even gave recommendations for our visit. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Houston.

The Chifley Houston is a nice place to spend a few days. It was recently renovated with large comfortable rooms, a full-service restaurant and bar and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is in a great uptown location with shopping and dining in walking distance.

Super cute hotel, loved my room. Convenient location, literally minutes away from everything on our itinerary.

Beautiful comfortable clean and spacious rooms, a fantastic shower, great Nespresso coffee machine, super convenient. Feels like home. Lovely modern air and fantastically designed lobby that feels like your modern but very grand parlor! Sorry i missed the live music. Had the buffet breakfast one morning which was fine but quite pricey for a very average selection. It was certainly a much better option over the a la carte options which were almost the same price as the buffet. Overall an excellent stay and will be back again and again!

Restaurant understaffed. Comically bad service. And they add annoying gratuity charge to food bills. They don’t overtly tell you that, which makes it a bit shady.

Tho guven 5 stars....the restaurant/food there wasnt that great, edible but very overcooked. Way over priced for what i recieved . Everything else was phenomenal....water pressure in the shower was a godsend will definitely be back but skip room service next time

Gerard Paris the chef, made my birthday extremely special. He created a raspberry pastry filled with cream cheese. He added a scoop of vanilla ice-cream drizzled with a raspberry topping. What a kind gesture? He gets a 5 out of 5 rating. It was a wonderful birthday.

We had such a great experience from check in to valet. Everyone is so welcoming. The room was perfectly cleaned, temperature in the room was great. We ate at Rouse inside the hotel and the atmosphere was very nice. 10/10

Restaurant availability was very minimal. Cost for breakfast much more than should of been.

This hotel was so cute and comfortable, it was super clean has a lot to offer from breakfast to dinner, the on site bar has happy hour until 12am with $10 drinks and food. Very classy and plenty of mirrors everywhere for your photos haha I will def be back to Houston and I’m going stay here again the service has been the best by far that I’ve had in a while.
