Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dallas Plano West

Pool was closed, no info on this when we checked in. Plus pay for parking and internet that's a joke. I'll never stay at this location again.

The hotel was clean and comfortable with a good breakfast, but I was highly disappointed in a couple things. First, I called beforehand and asked if the pool was open and they told me it was. I got myself and kids ready for the pool and it was ice-cold. I asked the desk and they said the heater was out and it was closed. This is only 2 hours after I had called. I was traveling with my kids and the pool was the main reason I had chosen this hotel. Also, they asked if I wanted room service during my stay. I confirmed I did. The next day however, no one came to my room to clean.

The beds was so amazing and comfortable that i wish i could bring it home. The pillows was like sleeping on a cloud. The only part that made me sad was there was no longer a spa/hot tub but that was okay. The pool was very cool and fun. The breakfast was hot and tasty. All the employees were nice and helpful. Would definitely stay again if i am ever back in town

The laundry facility is a great touch, especially since some family ended up having to stay longer than anticipated, and hadn’t packed enough for an extended day. The staff was professional, but there was a bit lacking in friendliness and making you feel very welcome. that’s not a horrible Indictment of the place, just noticed that they didn’t seem to really want to go out of their way to let you know they were happy you were there. Just kind of cut and dry. The only big criticism I have is that the breakfast, which was more than adequate in terms of food and selection, did not offer us enough space to eat without waiting or being cramped. I understand hotels get crowded but truly the breakfast area is way too small.

Let's just jump into it. This hotel is VERY outdated. Most of the outlets in the room did not work. This hotel does not have an outside pool and the inside pool is "broken" and guests are not allowed to use it. The parking lot is SO DARK, it was kind of scary to walk through at night. Upon check in I was told it is $3 a night to park in the (dark) parking lot. They do not tell you that before booking. The staff is kind of rude. I do not recommend staying here at all and have no clue how it has a 8 overall rating. It is a solid 5 at best!

Enjoyed my stay very much. My only recommendation is to be aware that they charge a nominal fee for parking on site.

Very disappointed at the gym. Only 3 cardio equipments and one is broken. I'm pretty sure I booked a suite but Ionly got a regular room. Either room photo when booking was deceiving or they gave me a cheaper room. On the other hand, the staffs are friendly and helpful. However, mist of the maids don't speak English and hard to communicate.

I choose this hotel because it had a indoor pool for my daughter but we went in to look at pool area and it was very hot in there, we left the hotel an came back the pool had a sign that it was closed.

Free breakfast was just decent. Website claimed hotel was only 6 miles from the location we were traveling to each night, but turned out to be more than 20 miles away. Overall the stay was just ok for the peice.

Normally I stay at a different location and happened to book the wrong one and I really wish I hadn't! I could tell right away that this location wasn't up to the standards of the other locations I've stayed at. Like this must have been a motel that they bought and turned into a Fairfield. It smelled musty upon entry, there weren't enough luggage carts so I had to make several trips to haul all of my luggage up to my room. The air conditioner wasn't working well so it didn't cool the room properly and because of the air conditioner issue, the room seemed…. Damp. I will say that the bathroom and beds were clean, and I appreciate that. But they need to have someone come and wipe down the walls because the amount of splattered ick on the walls was disgusting! Also, I was there with my 70+ year old mother and 7 year old daughter and when we came out of the elevator there were 2 women that were wheeling a cart past us filled with cleaning supplies and sheets and a vaccuum. I am going to assume that they worked there to clean the rooms. The way they were dressed was disgraceful! Booty shorts with they stomach hanging over the front and their butt cheeks on full display! Seriously?! Very unprofessional, and around families and children. Needless to say, I will NOT be staying here again. Oh, And I did report the air conditioning issue. The lady just smiled at me and said, “Ok.”

It needs a good refresh on carpet and paint. Rooms were not super clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast average

There was roaches and inserts in bathroom and by coffee maker. Never staying here again!

Well we had bed bugs in the room went down and told the person she said wait till the morning time they only said they can give us 10 dollars off

Good stay, the only things keeping it from a 5 star all around; 1-ice machine not working on 3rd floor. I had to go to the elevator to get ice on the 1st floor. It wouldnt be an issue, but I am partly disabled; and the extra walking did take a toll. 2-the A/C unit in the room was really loud when coming on, and kept waking me up.

First floor room and the window would not close all the way. The staff came and hit on the window with a golf club to try and get it to close. He got it almost closed but it still couldn’t lock. They were booked and had no other room to move us to. Told us it’s a safe neighborhood, don’t worry. Unacceptable.

The stay was good. Hotel is a bit outdated. The staff was very friendly. The hotel smelled clean. The beds on the other hand hand dips in the middle. Left with back pain.

It’s a little run down. Everything was in working order, except tv cable , most channels were not working They gave us four body towels but only one washcloth in the bathroom. It’s nothing special

When you have food and meds that need refrigerated, it is hard to feel like you can sleep all night and not need to get up every so often to turn it back on.

I stay here everytime I am in town it has gradually gone down hill. The service is not near as good. The breakfast was tettible. The beds are uncomfortable.

Property was for the most part fine. Location was great for us and price was good. The bathroom sink didn’t drain and we were up early (before breakfast) and returning late for sports tournament in area……our minimal time there coincided with maintenance staff being unavailable to fix the sink issue which was frustrating.

Our stay was a horrible experience. TV was not working, air conditioning did not work very well. We came down for a medical appointment for my wife’s heart. Talked to the front desk lady she did not seem to care when I had asked her to cancel the room for Friday night due to my wife being possibly admitted into the hospital.

I was asked about Room service would I like service every day or every other day. I was staying at the hotel for 5 days. I figured I am on business and every other day would be fine. I had ZERO service for the entire stay, nothing.

Overall stay was great. Only issue I had was at checked in. When I came to front desk there was no one around. After waiting for a couple of minutes I've knocked on the door that said "office" a few minutes later a lady came from around the corner and in an angry voice asked if it had been me who knocked on the door? I said yes. He proceeded to tell me she was helping a customer. I understand that but there was no sign saying I will be back in a few or helping a customer. She gave me the death stare the whole time I was checking out. I am not 100% but I think she was also the manager. I didnt knock to get her mad I just needed to check in after a long day at the soccer fields. I didnt appreciate her tone of voice and looks. As I said before a sign saying be back in 10 or helping another customer will be helpful or maybe having 2 people at the front desk instead of one.

The entire staff was extremely helpful and nice.

I was unsatisfied with the front desk. I booked a handicap room because i was traveling with my sister who is paralyzed. I was told nothing was available. My sister was unable to use the restroom because it was not accessible. So i had to put her on her wheelchair and roll her to the handi cap restrooms down the hall. There was no where on this property she could go to take a shower. It was such a uncomfortable stay. The desk staff wasn't trying to accommodate me at all she said well thats not what you reserved i explained yes thst is what i had reservations for a handi cap accessible room.

Got bumped here by orbits when original booking was canceled. Decent stay, low cost. Business only trip for one night. Older property, small lobby, limited breakfast (but free). Room was clean, Standard fair for low end Marriott property.

Comfortable and breakfast was very good!

Breakfast bar was amazing and staff was very friendly and supportive!

Clean room. Good breakfast with hot food options. Easy and quick check in. Only issue was a lack of outlets to plug devices into. And the one on the lamp was a dud so phone did not charge.
