PROS: Basic breakfast was good, but kind of limited in choices or variety. Pool was very clean and the water warm, but the hot tub/spa was closed.The gym was also limited in equipment, but only saw one other person there during the week so had it all to myself most of the time. Plenty of parking. VERY close to A TON of restaurants and a movie theater/mall, all within walking distance. Very hot water in the shower, with a really nice bathroom. The beds were very comfortable, and the AC worked well. CONS: The ice machine on our floor sounded very loud, like it was being used for industrial packing. Everyday I would see at least one person in the parking lot that definitely made me wary, but no one caused us any trouble. The shower pressure (on the third floor anyway) was... adequate. OVERALL: I give it 3.75/5 stars, would recommend it to anyone with families/children, and would definitely return.

My wife and I have been loyal guests of this hotel chain for years and have always appreciated the consistent quality and comfort. Unfortunately, our recent weekend stay fell short of expectations. While the hotel itself is still clean and well-maintained, we ran into a few issues that made our stay less enjoyable. The TV remote in our room didn’t work properly, and we had to contact the front desk multiple times just to get it sorted, definitely not the kind of inconvenience you want during a relaxing getaway. Additionally, we were really looking forward to using the hot tub, only to find it was out of commission. There was no prior notice about this, which was a bit disappointing. We still appreciate the brand and hope this was just an off experience, but this particular stay didn’t quite live up to the standard we've come to expect.

This property looks really nice in the pictures but is actually dirty and broke down. The weather stopping under our door was only half there and so we could hear every noise in the hallway. There were mystery stains on the floor and comforter. The front door to the hotel is broken and they lock all the doors at 9pm and you have to ring the doorbell to get in. You need a code to use the bathroom in the lobby. The only good thing was the breakfast. The pool was closed and the lounge that you see in the pictures with the fireplace was permanently closed.

We selected this location for its convenient location near Seattle Children's Hospital South Campus, shopping, and dining. Everything was fine EXCEPT the front automated doors were broken during our stay. Guests were manually sliding doors open and closed and there was rarely a person sitting at the front desk to assist. It wouldn't have been such a big deal, if it didn't raise safety issues with the large homeless population in the area. During our stay, we drove past a deceased homeless person with multiple police crusiers taping off the scene. When we expressed the broken doors that were always wide open when we passed through as a safety concer, management's response was "why is it a safety concern?" We were told the doors were being manually locked at night, which was not the case, as we found them unlocked at night multiple times. Management stated that there was no need to make things more safe or convenient for guests going through the building as "this is a problem we can't control. The part to fix the door doesn't arrive for 3 more days." This lack of care and customer service by management was astonishing. After we directly asked to be compensated for lack of safety, we were told it wasn't worth it because "we would have to fight Expedia for the discount." I requested it regardless. At check out, I discovered management had refused to discount to our stay, despite telling us otherwise.

Decent hotel with excellent staff, good breakfast. Had a dog friendly room that reeked of the previous pet. Didn’t clear up during stay. Hotel bar was closed entire time for “private event” which there were none being held. Good pool. Across street from nice park. No safe in room

Friendly and attentive front-counter personnel. Great breakfast. Pool area needs work - disconnected underwater pool light and paint chipping in hot tub. No blue recycling bin in room. Understaff for cleaning personnel - room cleaned only once during a 4 night stay (told it would be the case upon check-in) and a lot of litter in the parking lot and surrounding shrubbery.

This property’s photos must have been taken when it opened. I felt like I had been catfished. The carpeting throughout looked like it belonged in a frat house. It was utterly disgusting. The room’s furniture was stained and sagging. There were fingerprints everywhere. Mold in the bathroom. The bar in the hotel was closed and the hot tub was broken. This was an extremely disappointing stay.

I spent a lot of time reading reviews before booking this hotel, and while I found many of them to be accurate, there are a few additional points I feel are worth mentioning: 1. Upon arrival, I noticed fruit flies in the room. After moving the couch, I discovered a significant amount of food wrappers, crumbs, and other debris that had been left behind, suggesting the area had not been thoroughly cleaned. 2. The shower doors did not close properly, which may have contributed to the visible mold in and around the shower. With more attentive cleaning, this issue might have been prevented. 3. During our stay, there was a heat advisory, and unfortunately the air conditioning was not functioning. The unit was unplugged when we arrived, and even after reconnecting it, the wall thermostat would not work. It took two visits to the front desk and two staff visits before it was finally resolved. Overall, my stay was average. While the issues were eventually addressed, the experience could have been improved with more attention to cleanliness and maintenance.

The hotel is located centrally with shopping and restaurants nearby. The lobby is clean and elegant in comaprison to other hotels within the same ratings and price. The swimming pool is a plus. The rooms were spotless clean with clean smelling towels. Breakfast has a variety of options and the complimentary bottled water was excellent.

Found on Expedia. Booked because of good reviews, rate, location to what I needed. Photos were deceptive, hotel is not as pictured or advertised. Its old, dirty carpeting, smells of ammonia in hallway. Sketchy area. Not worth a $60 overnight stay, I paid $213 Hugely Disappointed, deceived, dissatisfied asked for a refund upon reaching front desk to find somewhere else to stay, but was denied. Best thing about the property was the front desk ppl. They were kind. Do not recommend.

The area has nice shopping areas I’m sure are nice during the day. But the active homeless is extremely scary at night, I had to drive to 3 convinience stores to find one that didn’t have walkers all around. I travel for work constantly and I’ve been on the road the last 3 years, and not until this hotel did I encounter bed bugs!!! I was up and out of the bed within an hour when I discovered them. It was 3:38 and I had no where to go as no one will check you in until the next afternoon by that time. I was up over 24 hours because of this! Yuck

They need to replace their heating/cooling systems. This is the second time I've stayed here and the in-room temperature control WAS NOT working! They had to bring an industrial fan to our room because the A/C couldn't be fixed, and it was in the upper 80s!!

This place was conveniently located and the room was nice. However, even though we were on the third/top floor, there was still quite a bit of road noise. There was also a lot of noise from inside as well. We could clearly hear what people were watching on TV in the room next to us and could understand every word of conversations spoken in the hallway. If you’re sensitive to noise, I’d recommend looking at other options. If not, this place is great.

Great location as it’s right by the mall. Lots of restaurants and stores at a walking distance. The room was comfortable. So were the beds and the pillows. The sliding bathroom door without the lock wasn’t on my husband’s pleasant list. I’d say that’s the only … we encountered.

The bed was so uncomfortable, we are both still sore two days later. There were doors being slammed constantly until almost 2am and people running up and down the hall talking loud and laughing which made it impossible to sleep. The phone didn't work in the room (had reported that upon check in, but were told there was no maintenance on the weekend so it couldn't be fixed/replaced). We had a great view of a small homeless camp just on the other side of the parking lot. Part of the reason we picked this hotel was due to the free breakfast, however the sausage, eggs and potatoes were not kept warm in the warmers and items were not refilled in a timely manner. The cranberry juice tasted like water due to it being so watered down. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. The area did have a lot of opportunities for shopping and restaurants, which was attractive.

The gal working the front desk in the evening was extremely nice and helpful. Every other hotel was booked up but they took care of us after a bunch of flight delays. She made us a to go breakfast so we could leave early. The hotel was clean and had everything we needed for the night.

The payment system of the hotel was terrible. The staff didn’t know what was going on: they checked people in without charging the credit card and after a few days, they require the guests to make payments before the end of the stay. Everyone was confused on why this was happening and the manager was unkind in the whole process and make the guests uncomfortable. This was our 2nd time returning to this hotel and Won’t be returning again!!!

I stayed at the property for two nights. The management and staff were generally lacking, with the exception of the evening desk clerk. The bathroom had visible mold under the sink ring and around the drain. I was out during the day and expected fresh towels upon my return. When I saw that I still needed towels, I called the front desk and was rudely told to bring my dirty ones downstairs for an exchange—or to go find a housekeeper on my floor. I was a bit shocked by this response, especially since it was only 2:30 PM and I assumed housekeeping was still working. I decided to find a housekeeper myself. On the way, I encountered a woman who claimed to be a manager. I explained I was looking for a housekeeper to exchange my towels and continued walking. She stopped me to explain that their policy doesn’t allow guests to approach housekeepers directly, as they only have enough towels for check-outs, not stay-overs. However, she said she would make an exception this time. I let her know my room hadn’t been serviced at all and that I was a stay-over guest. She told me that housekeeping must be requested, which I felt I had already done when I called the front desk. As I was leaving, I also witnessed the front desk clerk yelling at another guest who was checking out. I would recommend staying elsewhere until the management issues are resolved.

We stayed for three days. 1. There was nothing in the room that gave important information like the fact you have to make a reservation 24 hrs in advance to get the room cleaned. 2. The shower head was so high, I could not reach it to point it into the middle of the shower. I had to put my head against the wall to rinse out the soap. Really bad. 3. The breakfast area closed down 15 minutes early. It closes at 9am, but closed at 8:45. In addition, it would be better if it operated until 10am. At least for us. 4. If rooms aren't being cleaned daily, we could have used a bigger garbage can. Or an extra can. 5. Everyone was very nice. Our issues were dealt with promptly. The room was clean and comfortable. None of the above would keep us from staying again. Well, the shower head.....

It's not my intention to "throw anyone under the bus", but there was a lack of staff knowledge and training that should be addressed. After arriving in our room and settling in, we noticed the heat/air unit was not putting out warm air though we had turned the heat up from the default of 70. I looked over the thermostat and the heat/air unit to see if there was anything obviously wrong or if we had failed to set the thermostat correctly. After an hour+ we contacted the front desk and the person on duty came up to check it. After doing essentially the same things we had already done she said she did not know how to fix it. She offered us no alternatives to remaining in the cold room. As she was leaving my wife asked for additional blankets. She left to get the blankets and returned shortly with them. After she left we wondered why she hadn't offered to move us to another room. We called the front desk and asked if she could move us, and we were eventually moved to another room. I think an experienced manager would have had those options immediately come to mind and we would not have had to suggest the remedies to the problem.

I had an interesting check-in experience where a difficult guest kept the only person at the front desk from helping me check-in. There were at least 5 other staff members that watched me wait for quite some time. I found a $1.OO charge on my credit card from La Quinta during my stay that doesn't yet have an explanation.

Would probably stay again. Property was pretty good, just the areacaround it felt a little unsafe. Normally would be easy walk to dining, shopping but felt safer in the car. There did appear to be a drug issue but I guess that's almost the norm right now?

One night stay with a pup. Positives: contemporary vibe, rooms clean and comfortable, spacious pet friendly room, front desk staff super nice and professional. During day light hours, neighborhood appears to be safe with lots of retail strip malls and restaurants. Negative: surrounding area did not feel safe at night. Homeless encampment across the street. Sketchy group activity in front of sketchy restaurant/bar near hotel. Definitely an unsettlingly feeling when walking our dog. Obvious car break ins with broken glass littered along side street.

Loved it, friendly staff. Rooms were comfy and clean. Right across from a park and field with a splash pad for kids. Newr a mall and lots of resturants or even quick food options! Overall a nice experience. Will definitely stay again. Oh and nice view of Mt Rainer 😍

The bed was pretty comfortable, however I wasn't a fan of the pillows. The sliding bathroom door, and slider shower doors, seem to have a mind of their own. Breakfast options were pretty typical, maybe above average for free breakfast. The first morning they let the waffle batter run out.

Friendly, helpful staff, including the kitchen workers. Hot breakfast everyday, including eggs, potatoes, waffles, excellent coffee. No non-dairy milks, so that was a negative. Clean, open eating space with many tables and views of Mt Rainier. Beautiful lobby art. Gym includes elliptical, two treadmills, free weights and machine weight system. Water cooler did not work, however. Overall, I strongly recommend.
