GrandStay Residential Suites Hotel - Eau Claire

The breakfast included a good selection of eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, yogurt, whole fruit, bagels, cereal, juices and of course, coffee and hot tea.

Washer in laundry was broken. Dishwasher in room was broken.

Staff was never at the front desk.

We got married this weekend and wanted to have a very nice place to stay. The room was very out dated. The carpet was buckled up and was loose around the edges. The lighting felt like something out of a horror movie making it feel uninviting. The breakfast was very sad with not much of options with undercooked microwaved potatoes and crock pot cooked eggs. When we got into the room my fiance had a adverse reaction to it, I called the front desk to speak to a manager and was hung up on. The jacuzzi was out of order, the room we originally booked did not have a jacuzzi but should have had an oven and did not have one hence why I wanted to speak to a manager to make sure we got the right room. The room was not very well cleaned with mysterious stains on the doors and walls in the bathroom. The TV mounted in the living room is mounted in an old fireplace 8in off the ground which was very off putting. For the price we paid we expected a bit more of a clean and quwaint Not a place that cuts corners and chooses the cheaper way out. If you don't care about anything I said at the end of the day it is a place to sleep, nothing more.

We were very disappointed to find out that the AC must not have been working. There was a temporary portable unit in the living room of the unit. We would not have stayed there if we had known the AC wasn’t working because we had been under an extreme heat warning for the entire week. It was very pricey and not well maintained things were broken and missing. For over $300 a night I expect a better quality hotel.
