The reviews online say "unsafe" repeatedly, and boy is that accurate! My advice, DO NOT COME HERE AFTER DARK! Lets get down to the core of the issue here; the bar. Open to the public, this super low end dive bar attracts the crowd you hear about on the Monday morning news. We were greeted in the parking lot by bar patrons sitting on their cars openly drinking and smoking pot, giving us the ultimate "you don't belong here" stare down as they followed us over to where we parked our car. Gangster rap music was on full blast, quite literally shaking the walls of the hotel, coming from inside the bar and out! The room was disgusting, flies everywhere in the bathroom, I wouldn't wash my dog in the shower (and there's PLENTY of dogs on the property!) The furniture has cigarette burns everywhere, the carpet had literal blood stains, there was some sort of animal nest on the balcony, and there was cigarette ash in all the drawers in the room. If you have kids, DO NOT STAY HERE.

I booked a stay here because you offered free breakfast and I like that and all the hotels I go to because at least I save a little money on breakfast, but all you offered was coffee and I was very surprised and upset for that reason I won’t be coming back. Everything else was good, but I think that’s false advertisement. You can have a muffin apple banana bowl of cereal something you know if he’s offered pre-breakfast something should be offered beside coffee.

Extremely dangerous area. Poorly maintained exterior, unkempt, run down. Exterior door held open by a plastic coat hanger. Dirty carpet. Ice maker didn’t work, was CHARGED for ice at “bar” next door. Unprofessional front desk attendant, sleepy security guard in lobby. Most outlets in room non-functioning. Old, dirty curtains covered sliding door. Multiple Gun shots rang out in the ghetto next door. I felt unsafe walking through the parking lot, felt very unsure of the safety of my car. Weird restaurant/bar attached to property that converted to some sort of dance club. Lots of homeless and ladies of the night strolling about, if you know what I mean. Absolutely horrible.

The pool was filled in with dirt, the patio door had no lock or handles and would only stay shut with a 2x4, the shower curtain was held up with zip ties and hanging down, found small chucks of wood underneath my sheets, ac/unit fins were broken and inside covered with black mold, shower had mold on caulked areas, the one chair in the room was sooooo dirty with stains all over and not suitable to sit on, sink leaked and carpet molding was falling off the wall. That said, the Beds were actually comfortable and the staff was extremely nice and accommodating.

The property is run down, but of greater concern is safety. The exterior door lock (sliding door to courtyard) was broken so the room could not be fully locked. There was a safe in the room that did not work. I left the room for the evening and forgot the key. Stopped at the front desk on the way out to ask for a second one. I was given a key with no questions asked. No ID, no confirmation that I was actually a guest. This was a really poor experience.

There is a laundry facility, it is coin operated but no coin changer around. Front desk does not have change either. This is makes this useless. The closest ice maker in our room does not work. It seems it is not working for a while. There is construction beside the property which is really noisy early in the morning. this was not stated when booking the room.

We booked this hotel without looking at the reviews and let me tell you.. big mistake! When we arrived on site it was the most horrifyingly dirty place I have ever seen! Without even going inside I could tell there was no way we could possibly stay there without getting some kind of sickness or bedbugs. We skipped check in and had to book a whole other hotel because it was so bad

Very disapppointing! We were in town for a funeral and chose this hotel becasue of the location. The condition and cleanliness of the room was not acceptable, as my photos will show. There were no bath towels or bathmat.The beds were good, the front desk was adequate. We will not be returning to this property!

rooms are newer. The property is an old Howard Johnsons which shows its age. Simple amenities are broken or are not available. However the A/C worked and it was a quiet sleep and comfy.

Interior halls are nice, room had some upgrades in bathrooms and lighting, but carpet is very dark blue and gives the feeling its dirty. Are condtioning works but you wonder if its ever been cleaned. Spent 35 nights here in total in an extra large king room between moves. All and all served us well in regards to room space, microwave, fridge, balcony and weekdays pricing. Staff always responded quickly to issues we had with room and fixed any problems we encountered. Housekeeping was disappointing but improved during our stay but frustrating at times due to language barrier and trying to explain you needed towels or bed sheets changed etc. Again though for the price and amenities of the room and front desk staff the Travelodge served us well. I will add though all room nights were booked weekly thru Expedia because I thought best price but last few nights eventhough Room was prepaid in advance, Expedia charged us twice and being with limited funds with moving expenses this hurt because it will take 7-10 business days to recoup funds. Will not book thru them again.

The beds were comfy and clean. Nice fresh towels and toiletries. However, the TV didnt work, the bathroom was very outdated and the tub was cracked and almost stepped through it. The staff were very helpful to they to fix the tv situation but it didnt work, not their fault.

This hotel was okay. It is an old building with meh upgrades. The carpet in the room was sticky, visibly stained and torn up. Otherwise, the room was fairly clean. The hair dryer was partly melted. This is not a $250 per night hotel more like a $100 per night.

Im not picky when it comes to lodging. The hallways were like a maze, so it was easy to get lost. The building needs more maintenance. However, I was satisfied with the room. It did the job. I stayed 2 nights in a row. I may come back in the future.

Worst experience ever! Room smelled of cat or dog. Had to literally spray everything down in fear of bugs. We had total of 3 rooms. Only 1 shower was partially acceptable. Front desk staff were very rude. Security was nice & other staff were polite also. But front desk staff needs to reevaluate working their own establishment. We will never stay here again.

We were allowed early check in as we arrived earlier than expected. The room was clean, but they had not replaced the towels. A quick call to the front desk, and we had towels in less than 10 minutes. Housekeeping was friendly when they delivered them.

After we checked in we got to our room, used the key and opened the door to find someone else already in our room. They told us that they had juat checked in. Went back up to the front desk, clerk was confused on why someone was in the room and that no one was suppose to be in there. Was assigned another room. Got to the room and key wouldnt work. Had to go back up to desk again and get clerk was confused why key didnt work so gave us a new key plus the original. Left for a few hours attempted to go in our room and key worked but had difficulty actually opening the door. Okay hotel for cheap but definitely will not stay here again.

The front desk (Robert) was very pleasant and helpful. I have stayed here multiple times, and noticed a few upgrades this time. This is not the place to stay if you want amenities, but if you're looking for a decent room for a decent price, this is the place to go.

I was in town for a funeral, it would be a 2-night stay, and one of the main reasons I chose this property was because it was convenient for my friends to pick me up for the service. Also, it was stated that they had an area shuttle up to 5 miles, so I planned on it for airport pick-up and drop-off, only to find out there was no such shuttle. This property is located next to the freeway, so if you rent a car, it is most convenient to get around town. This is a very, very old property. The bathrooms have been upgraded and there is a nice and convenient microwave, refer, in room 1-cup (not Keurig) coffee maker, and a safe. All worked and were in good condition. The shower was good and the bedding was very clean. However, the room itself was dark, dingy and needed repair. The carpeting looked old and grungy, have slippers! I didn't dare open the drapes , they've been there quite a while as well, yuk. The Wi-Fi was good. Didn't have time to try the bar or restaurant. There is nothing in walking distance or close by for eating or other. You would need a car. Although there are conveniently located vending machines here and there and ice machines. I do question the safety of the area, although I had no problem for the short time I was there. I had requested a 1st floor room as there is no elevator, and I don't haul bags up stairs. There was a little noise in the room above me, but basically the hotel was quite quiet. Would I stay there again? Most likely, not!

The location is very good right off 43, clean towels and sheets, dirty bathroom and table tops. Extremely dirty a/c filters. Door entrance D had 1 ton of garbage surrounding it. This is an emergency overnight place to stay if you have no other place to stay!

Great for extended-stay! Polite housekeeping & staff! We enjoyed view of our car in lot & a sliding door in each room for outside area patio & access to vehicle parking spaces. Located right off the freeway, so many take-out & restaurants along the road of the hotel. 10minutes to downtown Milwaukee. Near MKE airport as well.

Our room is only clean, the housemaids are always friendly and they make sure they always provide clean towels when you need them. The front desk is always friendly and very professional. As for their waitress Becky, Carol and Sunny they always welcome you with a smile on their face and they are prompt in getting you water and menus. In other words my son and I love staying at the Travelodge and I would recommend it to my friends and family.
