The pool/hot tub room was great, everything in working condition and the hot tub was HOT. Breakfast was good for being free. There was a bar open on the weekends which was fun. My only gripe is the barking dogs all over the hotel (pet friendly). Bring ear plugs if you want to sleep.

Would have been excellent except for lobby construction. This required the pool and spa to be closed for a whole day. This was disappointing but rest of stay was good. Staff was very accommodating.

Nice hotel. Pool area was a large room with vaulted ceilings. One regular pool, one really nice area for kids and one hot tub. The exercise room is really small. Four cardio machines and a few free weights. Breakfast was great. EXTRA FEES - Expedia said the hotel would charge me $22 for one night for resort fee. The hotel charged me $37 for one night.

The hotel front area was clean and very beautifully decorated for Christmas, staff was friendly, pool was clean and the whirlpool was clean with hot therapeutic water. Breakfast was ok. Alarm watch in the room was not working and toilet ran continuously during our 2 day stay with an irritating sound especially during the night. Overall good hotel.

Property was pretty clean. When we got there the staff was deep cleaning the front. Could use a little updates like in the pool area basketball hoops were a little rusted and nets were partially wrecked. Also hot tub wasn’t working rite at the time.

We have stayed here many times before and enjoyed it but this time was horrible! Will never stay here again and will discourage others. Room was dirty. Someone else's used kleenex behind nightstand, baby cockroach in bathroom, shower disgusting. Breakfast was tasteless and nasty. Ended up having to leave day early due to emergency but staff couldn't help us get any money back or anything. Just a bad stsy all around.

We enjoyed our stay with a clean and cozy room. The amazing staff are very polite, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was very good too with a very clean eating area and delicious hot coffee, we will visit again. The hot tub was great not too hot and the pool was the perfect temperature as well we enjoyed both.

Supposedly we had the best room in the hotel, it was dirty, dust,finger prints everywhere. Room descriptions are wrong and they don’t stand behind giving you the room you reserved.

The facility and staff smelled like marijuana. The pool area was disgusting and unsafe. Saw a guy cut his hand on a rickety railing in the main area and the front desk refused to acknowledge fault or help at all. Breakfast looked like it had been reheated from the day before. Staff was extremely rude to every guest we saw. There was hair in multiple towels. The AC/Heat didn't work. The fridge and microwave were filthy. We had random charges added to our card during our stay with no forewarning or explanation at all. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!

The balcony was nice! The view from the balcony in the woods was relaxing. Staff probably doesn’t check the balcony too often and it needed to be cleaned from birds and swept. We couldn’t sit outside because of this.

They need to update the room the tile in shower is broken big hole in wall. The shower handle fell off the wall while showering. The toilet seat is so old the paint is chipped off. The pillows are falling apart in the zipper bag they are old. The blankets on the bed are very thin.

Various rooms are currently under renovation so there's noise during the day, though it stopped at a reasonable hour during our stay. However this does leave the hallway a little messy. Breakfast was nicer than expected and my kids really enjoyed it. Our room looked newly renovated. The beds were comfortable with firm mattresses. The one critique I have for the actual room was the lighting. It was VERY dim. The bathroom and sink area had lights, but there were only a couple lamps right by the bed. They weren't very bright and the other corners of the room were pretty dark as a result. The front desk staff was very helpful. I called ahead with a question and they were very friendly. Check-in was easy and the lady at the desk was personable. I would stay here again if I needed a simple overnight. We got the room last minute since the winter storm trapped us in the area. For the price it was definitely worth it.

I disliked the check-in process, 1. Online - usually fine but 2. Get to the hotel for an upsell to additional resort, pay now, get a voucher kind of thing, felt like timeshare selling upon check-in. Could not skip, avoid, not want it in order to get my room key. I just want simple quick quiet check-in after a long travel day.

This hotel seems like the nicest looking property in the area. The computer system will automatically impose an early check in fee if you check in before 4PM. Also, the breakfast/coffee was very lack luster. Weak coffee and translucent eggs.

The desk clerk was very busy and she was the only one. I I waited over 15 minutes to check in. She was on the phone. And there were two other people waiting behind me. They just had some questions so I let them go ahead of me. There were a couple of big groups of people there so it was pretty noisy

The check-in service is terrible. The young man that check us in,was unwelcoming. He did not smile,offer our dog a treat,ask us how we were,etc. He made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Our key continued to have issues each day. The card would not open the door and we had to go to the desk for a new key card every time we returned to our room. The room outlets did not work,too. But my biggest complaint is the lack of warmth from your staff.

Reception person was in the office on the phone for 15 minutes didn’t bother to check the lobby to see if there was anyone there. There were 4 guests behind waiting. I said hello can we get service. I used Expedia and paid. Hotel person asked for my card and Peter saw they charged me 3 times for what I don’t know. I already paid for my room so there is no reason for them to take any thing out. Now let’s see how long it will take for me to get it back. There was no little store like every hotel I stayed to buy drinks and snacks. The breakfast went done with my daughter and grandson is 1 and all the food was gone. No we’re in site is the breakfast lady. Ther was a line of people waiting took them forever to even bother to check and cold food that was suppose to be hot. Only thing we likes was the room.

Room was nice, pool was nice, great view... BUT, the high pressure sales attempt at check in to try to get us to go to a timeshare seminar was a real turn off. After driving hours and just wanting to relax, getting hit by multiple people trying for the sales pitch really sucked...

It’s a nice place to stay. The swim area is nice for the kids. It’s close to the main attractions and has easy access to I-90 or 94. My only issue was the ceiling vent in the bathroom should’ve been dusted. Also, it seemed a little weak. Also, there was an outlet by the table (top one) at the window which doesn’t seem to work. I couldn’t charge my phone using the top plug in. Otherwise it’s a great hotel. We’d consider visiting again.

The hotel location was perfect for enjoying the Dells. Close to everything but still a quiet and comfortable place to stay. Our room was on the first floor. Amazingly we did not hear our neighbors and the hotel was packed. Will definitely stay here again.

Each year I return to the Dells to visit dear friends in cold places. I routinely use AmericInn in the Dells. They are consistently of good quality at much lest cost than the resorts in town and do not try to add on costs with no guest benefit such as charging for parking where parking was once free. The location is consistently clean, friendly and helpful. The have a great bar/lounge/game area I use with friend for Packers games when I am up. The location is perfect for getting to the upper Dells but avoiding the chaos of staying "in the Dells". Quick access to Baraboo, parks, Lyndon Station, Mauston (Carr Valley Cheese - people - this is Wisconsin). Formerly being a resident of the Dells I can attest to resorts and many hotels. This one is a consistent solid performer for a visit. If you have tons of cash, never want to leave a property and have small kids - Great Wolf Lodge, If you have teens - Kalahari. If you like a pool, nice room, like to check out the dells entertainment, nearby parks and hiking trails, restaurants, and want a solid performing hotel; then AmericInn is a great place. I have tried several but always come back to AmericInn. In fact, I am done trying elsewhere. Who's your daddy? AmericInn.

We encountered ants in our initial room, so we had to switch to a different one. The front desk staff were courteous and helpful. However, the breakfast hours were too early, from 6 AM to 9 AM. When I arrived at the breakfast area around 8:45 AM, most of the items were already gone. Despite there being 15-20 minutes left, the staff informed me that no more food would be brought out. The next day, I didn't even bother getting up for breakfast.

Hidden resort fees when checked in. No syrup at breakfast, 5 people went to front desk asking for some and after 1/2 hour waiting - still none so we left. Everything at breakfast was empty and very messy.
