Sunset Bay Resort & Suites

Very nice play for a family. They need to figure out all the water walking around by the indoor pool. It gets very slippery.

Great amenities, like kayaks & SUPs, 2 pools, arcade, etc. Very family friendly.

The hotel is clean and the property offers a lot to do. There’s an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. There are water slides - not huge, but still fun. There’s an outdoor pool and splash area, a beach with a playground, volleyball nets, kayaks (free to use) can swim in the lake, assortment of giant yard games - they also have a bonfire every night with some music. It’s very family friendly. The staff was polite and the rooms were clean. The beds were very springy and not that comfortable, but overall the stay was great.

We booked a room on lake side got there and was on parking lot side and unable to change. Also it said 3 pools, well two of those are kiddie pools and the hot tub was so full of sand it was disgusting. No room service they have a menu for a restaurant that you have to door dash with. Nothing like what I was led to believe it was going to be, not sure I will ever use hotels.com again!

Second time staying here. Amazing location and property! Has private access to Lake Delton, with kayaks and paddle boards available for use as an amenity. Property had beach access, bbq area, outdoor deck with fire pit and pool, indoor heated pool, sauna, volleyball, and swings. Went with the family room which included one room with two twin beds, room with a king bed and pull out full size sofa bed in living room. Full kitchen, one full bathroom, one half bathroom. Friendly staff, clean place, amazing long weekend. Close to all the waterparks and restaurants (less than ten min drive)

Love the beach area and outdoor fire pit, great pool and sauna too.

Pools need more attention. The water was the same color as the lake water.

Overall good place to stay. Indoor and outdoor pools were nice and nice view of the lake.

We have been coming to Sunset Bay resort for a few years now and we absolutely love it. It’s in a very nice quiet area surrounding Lake Delton and only 10 minutes to downtown dells. The property has two pools and working hot tube and a couple of slides inside. It’s a very small resort but homely! They have a private beach and the offer free kayaks to use. They have picnic tables and grills that you are able to use anytime. Even though the rooms are a bit dated, the rooms are clean and spacious. FYI, bring a portable outlet or charging station because they don’t have any in the rooms that work. Overall, I will absolutely continue to come and stay at this property!!

I liked the private beach but when we went in our room it was an awful odor and the carpet had a lot of spots and the hardwood floors area was filty had not been moped and we were there for 3 days and had to buy ice from the office each day there was no ironing board but when asked they did bring us one and the website says check out is at 11 but on checkout day they told us it was at 10 ....(very disappointed)

Nice location. Friendly staff and clean and comfortable rooms. Beds could use an update but overall great. Would definitely stay again.

The bed spread on one of the beds had blood stains on it. It was clearly not clean and should have been washed and sanitized.

This kitchenette room perfect for our needs. Visiting nearby relatives so only was there to sleep & shower. All interactions with staff was efficient & pleasant. Not luxury accomodations but very clean, friendly, and more than met our needs.

Room did not match the pictures online when booking. Not sure if the room was even cleaned, there was a hanger on the back of the bathroom door, a blue stain in the tub, the tissue and toilet paper looked used instead of folded or even just “nice”, and we found eyeliner and a sock on the room floor. Bathroom didn’t match pictures and was a lot smaller in person. Pictures of the room make it look a lot bigger as well, but the beds are both up against walls and you can’t even open the closet because it hits the bed. The kitchenette was very small and has no counter space. Fridge and freezer are medium sized, not full sized as advertised either. Kitchenette includes sink, 2 countertop electric burners, fridge and freezer with some dishware. Small table in room with microwave on it and coffee maker on top of the coffee maker (again, not much space). The balcony was nicely sized and the lake view was perfect, but there was only 2 chairs for a 4 person room. There’s also no screen door so you can’t keep the patio door open and enjoy the weather. Indoor pool and hot tub were nice, outdoor pool was nice, there’s a ping pong table and a large connect 4 game outside. Private beach with a large sand area and pier to fish. There’s free kayaks to use and go on lake Delton as well, which was very nice. Overall, the place itself was nice, it had plenty to do and is in a great location. I just wasn’t satisfied with the room for lack of details in the online description and cleanliness.

Bathroom was not cleaned. No coffee cups, but the provide the coffee maker and coffee. Air filter in air conditioner was filthy. Could not have been good quality air.

The workers are excellent but the wood vinyl floors were filthy when we wiped up some water drops. This was in four rooms that we know of. It is great for a family reunion they never changed the towels or made the beds the whole week

The room was dirty and had a mildew smell. The tub was also clogged so we couldn’t use the shower during our stay. Overall, the staff was nice but it felt like a motel 6.

Good location. Air conditioner was great for cooling. However to drafty for sleeping. Direct level over the bed. Room not dark enough light from the parking lot came in even with the drapes completely drawn.

Lots of noise in hallway, walls were thin. Nice patio, beach and kayaks. Good for little kids. Shower was awful, too low and tub didn’t drain properly.

Wonderful lake views from the balcony. Room was quiet at night despite the hotel being super busy all weekend. Great place for families. We will be back!

We had an absolute blast! We stayed in one of the 2-bedroom suites with living room and full kitchen. It was plenty of space for our family of 5! The staff was friendly and attentive- always someone around the grounds cleaning and tending to the grounds. It had plenty of amenities for a smaller resort and we felt safe allowing our kids to explore on their own. The location was ideal. It’s close enough to quickly get to all the nearby attractions and far enough away from the Main Streets so we could enjoy peace and quiet. We would absolutely stay again!

There area was great for getting around. Staff was friendly and our room was clean. Really my only complain was those beds! They were so hard. I went and bought a topper just so I could get some sleep. The pools were nice. We enjoyed that they didn’t close until 12am. The bonfires were a nice touch. We enjoyed having use of the free kayaks and the beach. Thank you for our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family has stayed here many times and we really love the convenience of being so close to all the attractions and restaurants but also has such a relaxing and beautiful property! The rooms with the b big decks overlooking the lake and beach are perfect for families. We are already planning to be back again next summer or maybe sooner. Thank you!

We got what we paid for. The property and room were fine. Things were dated and some areas deteriorating but was clean and well kept. We chose it for the price and a review saying the beds were comfortable however the beds in our room were not. As I said, we got what we paid for and the stay was sufficient but likely wouldnt stay there again.

Our patio was the entry way to the beach & we loved it. It was peaceful & not over crowded. The only con I can think of is there was not a USB charging port in the room for my phone. That was the only amenity I missed. Overall, our stay was relaxing & enjoyable. We will return & more prepared on our next visit.

Checked in on Saturday for one night. Nice parking space available, overall no complaints, clean, safe, by the beach. No breakfast tho. Check in was smooth, great staff. Pleasant stay.

The property with a few modernizations and a little effort with housekeeping this place could be amazing. Had a great time and the staff is all very accomodating. And i would stay again just could use a little effort with cleaning. My kids had a better time at the pool here than the waterparks we went to.

Around 9pm our first night there, someone knocked and by the time I made it to door no one was there. I just figured it was kids or something. About 930, we were laying down in bed and had just dozed off. Heard a knock again, but this time the door flew open. My husband got up in time to see a man in a staff shirt disappear down the hall. I called the front desk, she said the only other employee was maintenance. She said she would notify security and they would patrol the area. Whoever it was had to have a master key because it opened the door and deadbolt. There's no backup lock/latch on the door. We slept terrible that night, every little noise had us awake checking the door. We never heard from anyone after our call to the front desk reporting it. No calls with apology or explanation. In my opinion, if the staff member had a legit reason to enter our room, he wouldve apologized not ran off and disappeared. And why did he knock and disappear the first go around. Very suspicious behavior. As a business owner of a rental property, I absolutely would have followed up after a situation like that. We stayed 2 nights, and we were hesitant to leave anything of value in the room. And we put something in front of the door both nights so if someone entered, it would make noise and wake us up. Definitely would never return to this resort.

Female at front desk was unfriendly. However, the stay was excellent as always.

I did not like it because we did not get room service any of the 3 days we stayed there. After we requested it twice. When we asked why we did not get room service they told us that the people that cleaned the rooms had left for the day. Also their pools were dirty. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

Check-in and check-out times are very limited because there’s no staff available after 10 PM or before 8 AM. If you plan to arrive late at night, you simply can’t check in, and if you need to leave early in the morning, you can’t check out either. They do provide a phone number to call during these hours, but no one answers. This made the whole process quite inconvenient.

We stayed in December and Our room’s heater was not working. They moved us to a suite. It must have been the honeymoon suite - it had swan towels on the bed with a box of chocolates, an ice bucket with a bottle of champagne in the fridge and a soda tub. This was perfect since our 30 year anniversary was in 2 weeks.

Perfect place to stay. One outdoor pool and a cute indoor pool. The beach was nice and free kayak usage. I personally like being off the busy "strip."

Quite yet still close to downtown dells. This place is a hidden gem. We enjoyed the grounds.

Nice spot on the lake and easy to get downtown and the fun of the Dells.

Location is wonderful on Lake Delton and quieter side of Dells. Front desk staff welcoming, friendly and accommodating. This is older property and indoor pool / hot tub tile needs attention. Rooms are clean and basic linens. Beds are firm. Lakeside all have views. Think families with small children would like this resort. Family friendly.

Being by the lake for my family is better then being crowded downtown your still close to downtown but more space by the lake.

The hotel is nicely located, has a nice indoor pool area, outdoor patio, beach, fire pit and kayaking available. It was off season when we stayed so not too many people to contend with. Rooms are a good value. A short drive to eat at Fields at the Wilderness, which was spectacular!

The property was decent clean would be nice if there would be breakfast included

We had a great overnight stay at Bakers Sunset Resort! From the moment we arrived, the resort felt very welcoming. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable, though the stairs leading up to it could have used a good vacuuming. The room was not very modern, but that did not bother us. The resort doesn’t offer breakfast, but having a coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. The highlight of our stay was definitely the indoor pool area. The water temperature was perfect for swimming, and my 10-year-old son had an absolute blast on the dolphin water slide. It wasn’t crowded at all—he practically had the pool to himself while I enjoyed a peaceful soak in the hot tub. While the pool area itself was nice, it was a bit messy due to other guests leaving their trash behind, which isn’t the hotel’s fault but something to be aware of. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay. We’d definitely come back!
