Parking in the deck was convenient as otherwise, parking in the area can be painful. Checkin at the desk was laborious. We stood for several minutes with no other customer present while the staff talked amongst themselves. Finally checked in, we found the room (double with two queen beds) comfortable, clean and quiet overall. We had dinner delivered with Door Dash so I cannot comment on the on site dining. Checkout was uneventful. Would stay again.

My husband and a few of our friends were hitting up the Phish show they were having Saturday and Sunday. The hotel workers were aware of the concert event, and asked about both shows! The hotel staff was on it with everything, the pool was extremely relaxing and the outside area neat and next to the pool offered plenty of shade and comfortable seating. I really enjoyed my 2 nights I spent here for two of the neat public performances I’ve ever seen! Thank you Hilton and thank you Phish for giving us a magical experiences!

WHILE MY EXPEREICNE IN GENERAL WAS POSITIVE AND THE ROOM COMFORATABLE,THE SHUTTLE TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT WAS GREAT. THERE WERE DISAPPOINTING ITEMS. i HAD TO TELL THE FRONT DESK ON TWO CONSECUTIVE DAYS ABOUT THE COLD WATER FAUCET NOT WORKING BEFORE IT WAS FIXED. TOLD HOUSEKEEPING ABOUT CONDITIONER CONTAINER BEING EMPTY WITH NO REFILL TV SCREEN WAS DIM AND COULD BARELY SEE IMAGE IF VIEWED OTHER THAN RIGHT ON. ONCE AGAIN REPORTED WITH NO FEEDBACK FROM HOTEL ON ISSUSE. ROOM ITSELF WAS FINE, SO IT IS ALL A MATTER OF WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU.

Great stay! Hotel was clean (even through renovations). Loved airport shuttle service, which was hard to find for downtown Birmingham properties. We arrived at 11, with a check in time at 4. They offered to hold our bags since we had to be at an event at 2. As we were about to leave, our room was ready. Had dinner at the restaurant downstairs. Flatbread and sweet potato fries was $20 (very reasonably priced) and tasted great! Only complaint was road noise, cars revving engines as they drove by. Would recommend to anyone needing an overnight stay in Downtown Birmingham.

Check in was fine. When we got to our room it smelled like someone just smoked weed in our room and the ac was off so it was 80 deg in the room. Went to take a shower and the main shower head and pipe were leaking and flooding the shower as the drain wasn’t working. Went to go have dinner down stairs and the bar staff was pretty rude to only find out they didn’t start serving dinner u til after 5. We found this out as we were trying to order since we were given menus and had already ordered two drinks. The 3 peloton were all broken in some way. Tried using the one that had all of the parts and the screen would actually boot- but still had issues with the equipment. The bathrooms down on the LL were trashed in the morning with the cans overflowing and the toilets were pretty gross. The only high point of this stay was the guy running the shuttle was extremely helpful. Homeless like to hang out around this area so just be careful traveling or walking locally.

Check in took quite a while, long lines and only 3 staff members who seemed to be struggling with the computers, we were first told there were no rooms with 2 beds available even though that’s what was booked but when I said we had 4 people the man magically found a room with 2 queens. When we got to the room ot was filthy, beds unmade, bathroom was nasty. Went back to the front desk and waited longer to be given another room.

After arriving to my room , noticed wrinkled sheets on bed , pulled back the covers and sheets and pillow cases were nasty , no microwave in the room, coffee pot didn’t work , shower had dried urine in the corners and dried soap scum on the walls , only one roll of tissue for a 3 day stay for 2 people , never came to room to discuss issues we called them 4 times they never came to our room . Also never recieved the credit back to my credit card . Very unhappy with my stay , also charged more than 15.00 a day to park in their parking and we had no choice but to pay because there was no where else to park .

Toilet was dirty, room had a sewer odor when you first open door, ice machine broken on 5th floor entire stay. Great friendly staff but no way worth the high dollar amount I paid. Bar/restaurant was understaffed leaving ONE bartender to tend to about 60 patrons wanting food and drinks - he did amazing though! Stayed calm, but there a lot of angry impatient people. Weird to walk in my room 2 nights later to someone else’s name on my TV instead of mine-made me wonder but they said it was no big deal. Overall would not stay again.

I was switched out of my rooms three times. The first room that I was assigned was not swept, the coffee machine was not shown any attention. The coffee, sugar and creamers were just thrown on the counter top. The sun was shining into the room which caused the floor to be seen in a better light, it looked as if there were 10 dogs in the room, the night before. Dog hair was everywhere, food was seen lying on the floor behind the bed. I then was switched to my second room without issue, after raising these concerns to the front desk. The second room was fine for two nights but on Saturday the air conditioning unit stopped working. I tried to stay in the room due to me checking out on Sunday morning but the wall unit stated that the temperature was 77 degrees. I was then switched to my third and final room for the night. As soon as I walked into the room, I looked in the bathroom and there was a wet washcloth, with hair sitting in the shower on the soap rack. I did bring that to managements attention and was told it would be noted. No one came to retrieve the washcloth or even come to see what was left. Great area but I will not be staying at this Hilton ever again!

We checked in tired after a long drive and found both bedside lamps dead and half the outlets useless. A maintenance tech finally showed up (he was friendly, to be fair). He slid the nightstand away and an entire ecosystem of dust and crumbs spilled out. Then he sat on the floor and took the lamps apart piece by piece while we all just hovered there in awkward silence. He hauled the guts off to "rewire" them and came back later with the lights working but the plugs still didn't. The bathroom was worse: brown-red smears on the trash can, mildew creeping up the shower frame, and random pubic hairs stuck in the corners. I kept my shoes on the whole time. By 10 p.m., after more back-and-forth, they moved us to another room that was at least clean, but it was the same basic category-no upgrade, no real apology, just more hassle while our kids tried not to fall asleep standing up. She offered me 5,000 points and two breakfast vouchers-never mind that there are four of us. I declined. Hilton's "Make It Right" promise? Not here. Unsafe wiring, filthy surfaces, and a token offer that didn't even cover breakfast for the family. I've stayed in motels that cared more. Skip this place.

The property was close to the Highlands hospital and was very convenient for my husband to visit while I was there. Access to the parking garage was easy and close and just one door away from the hotel. The room was nice but not very clean. whoever cleaned didn't do a very good job vacuuming as there were toenails and dust around the chair. Over all it was sufficient and met our needs.

Unfortunately this was not a great experience this time at this property. My husband and I have stayed before a few years back but this stay was not great. We had to change rooms twice after an hour of checking in. The first room tv didn’t work properly. We moved 3 doors down to another room. This room bedsheets had stains on them. Not small stains, huge stains that should have never been put on the bed. We complained and they moved us again to another floor. And unfortunately in this room the bathroom sink was clogged and drained very slowly. At this point we were so frustrated that we just dealt with it. I’m going to call the hotel manager on Tuesday since tomorrow is a holiday.

This is a very old building and the condition of the common areas is average. The room condition was well below what I would expect. Mold and rust in the bathroom shower, water stains on ceilings.. etc. We left for the day and when we returned we discovered the housekeeping had removed the used towels and provided fresh towels. They did not make the bed, empty the trash or clean the bathroom. When I called downstairs I was told it must have been an oversight because they should have cleaned the room. All of this and they also charge $15 per day to park your car. There are no vending machines in the building. We were on the 10th floor and you have to go all the way to the lobby just to get water or ice. Nothing about the hotel was convenient. I wouldn’t even rank this a 2 star hotel. I took many photos but could only upload 8 of them. The photos attached are just a small sample of the room condition, it’s even much worse than this.

Poor internet, extremely limited channels on television, and remotes that hardly worked for the televisions. No trash bags, which they say they don’t use. For the price point they should have a continental breakfast, but they don’t. Dog barking in room next to us. Repeated drag racers down the streets through the wee hours of early morning. 4:00 in the morning some car drove down the streets with speaker blasting so loudly we could hear it perfectly from the 14th floor. It may as well have been in the room with us.

This hotel needs lot of improvements starting with AC units. The hallways are hot. Room was hot when we checked in. The bed linen were worn out and no quilt layers. Phone line was very bad and had to make multiple calls. Some of the front-desk people cannot speak coherently and communication skills lacking. I had to ask the person 3 times to explain to me on parking or breakfast process. When we came in for check-in, there were bunch of hotel vans blocking the portico and there was big line of vehicles waiting to get in. I noticed that the staff in the lobby have no clue on what is going in the portico. I had to tell the staff to move their vans so the customers can unload the bags. We are not staying at this hotel considering the price.

The receptionist was rude and unwelcoming at check in; I had to removed the back of toilet to flush and had to request maintenance when the chain fell off; woman in the room next to us was so loud talking on her phone we felt like we were in the conversation; door to parking garage was not room card secured; and same woman at check-in was rude when checking out. Also Starbucks line was very long and out of everything. The stay was so horrible I would advise anyone to seek another hotel.

The hotel overall was great but we arrived later in the evening and they gave our room away even though I checked in on the app, let them know I would be arriving later, and selected my room in the Hilton app. We were given another room but it did not meet our accommodation needs. Three people had to sleep in a king bed even though we booked two queens.

We stayed here 1 time earlier in the week and it was great. Unfortunately, the second time was not that great. I specifically booked a room that I knew would sleep 3 people (my parents and myself) and had a roll in shower for my mother who is disabled and in a wheelchair. When I arrived for checking around 9pm, they told me that the room I booked was not available. We got stuck in a room with 1 bed and no partial refund for the mess up. I had to have a roll away bed brought in which barely fit in the room. I was told that this was still a handicap accessible room, but it definitely was not. Yes, there was a roll in shower, but the bed was not lowered; my mom was not able to get into the bed as it was too high for her. My dad and I had to lift her in and out of the bed which was not ideal and dangerous.

This was an absolutely terrible stay from the get go. They did not have the room I booked and failed to mention that to me when I initially checked in - they told me to return in an hour. When I returned, this is when they informed me they didn’t have my room. They offered to downgrade my king suite to a double queen and acted like this was great for me. The night manager Vincent was an absolute nightmare. He refused to acknowledge any fault of the hotel for this mistake and continuously argued with me. I will never stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

A car was stolen from the parking garage while we were there so that was a little unsettling .. I understand that this could have happened anywhere but since there are entrances into the hotel from the parking garage this made me a little nervous! Otherwise the rooms were super clean & all of the staff was super friendly. I also loved the Starbucks in the lobby. So convenient.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton in Birmingham. My kids were attending a show at the Iron City music venue nearby. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the venue. There were some decent dining options nearby. Parking was convenient. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the view of Downtown Birmingham from our balcony. The area nearby can be a little noisy after hours.

There was no valet parking. The coffee shop was closed. The lower level bar was closed. I couldn't get into a room until 4;00PM. The staff was mannerable but they provided very little service. I won't stay at this hotel again.
