The pool water makes your skin and suit smell like sour laundry. The gym has only 1 piece of working equipment, it would have been nice to use a treadmill! You have 500 Michigan Department of Corrections of recruits staying at hotels around the area. We visited the Hampton Inn and it was 100x better than the Windham. I’m not asking for 5 star, but a non burnt breakfast, gym equipment that works, and a not smelly pool would be nice!

The room was comfortable and clean. The pillows were nice and had a restful nights sleep. On the way to dinner, took advantage of the location and walked to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the pool water was ice cold and the hot tub was broken. It would have been nice for the front desk to communicate this when asked where the pool/hot tub area was.

First impression of the hotel is a desk woman who struggled with speaking with English. Then it smells like weed and chlorine the whole walk to my room. When I finally get to my room it smells like cigarettes and looks like someone had already laid in the other bed. Not to mention there’s tape above a doorway with possible blood on it and other stains all throughout the hallway. Poor quality all around, outside seemed way more appealing than the inside of the hotel.

The room was not filthy, but not fresh and clean. Our first room was very dirty, torn apart and smelled of mold. The front desk changed our room promptly, but the new room was not super clean, with missed dust/dirt on counters and switches, but also a filthy pull-out couch mattress that had obvious filth on it. The breakfast area was not all that clean and sparse. However, the dtaff that we encountered were all very friensly and helpful. Overall, the experience wasn't the worsr, but I would not choose to stau here again.

Overall look was okay. You could tell it was a bit dated. Room as far as beds and clean linens was good however the bathroom was in disrepair. There was some of the tub lifting up at the drain portion. My kids were having none of that as far as grabbing a nighttime shower. Pool area was ok but again dated. Felt like I was in the 90s. I wish I would’ve taken photos.

Brighton is a great city and Wyndham is one of the nicest hotels but this particular venue is desperately in need of renovation. The tubs have rust and chips, and the pool is in the center of the hotel so the rooms end up feeling very damp. The air is damp. Otherwise it was fine.

Super old style rooms and there is a good chance your room will be right next to the pool, and this is one of those hotels where people come for "mini-vacations" with their kids. This means it is LOUD. Doesn't look like anything outside of the mirror and lock has been updated since 2002. Half my lights don't work. At $160+, I way overpaid. Good thing it's just one night and I don't have to be up super early.

I stayed for 7 days. The location and room was fine - no issues. On day 3 of no housekeeping in room or fresh towels - I asked at the desk what why. They told me they do not clean the rooms once you check in unless you specifically asked for it so I specifically asked for it and still they did not clean the room. One thing I would suggest is to have coffee always available in main lobby for breakfast. It was a busy weekend lots of people in lobby..and staff told people they didn't have anymore and that why you have some in your rooms. This was within first hour.. Big inconvenience when your down there for breakfast and have to turn around to go back to your room to make coffee to have with your breakfast. I understand limiting food, I see how people take advantage of that but coffee should always be available during that time.

The facilities and room were very clean. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The breakfast was very good and the lady who worked the breakfast area was friendly and hard-working. We enjoyed our stay very much. The only issue we had was with a broken luggage cart that should likely be removed for safety as one end is hanging off.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the bed was rock hard. Which tore my back apart. There was a couple of bugs in our bathroom that looked like they had crawled in from a crack. So I killed those two. The 3rd shift associate on shift was AWESOME. She was too sweet & kind. Her whole personality was a vibe. The breakfast was okay. They didn’t offer anything other than milk or water. And the options were limited to biscuits & gravy, or a waffle.
