The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were excellent and the bathroom looked like new. We stayed in the 17 floor and had a nice view. There is a snack kiosk in the lobby and a business center. A Walgreens is right across the street. The only thing in the parking price

I stayed at the Boston Marriot Cambridge for 2 nights while attending a meeting at MIT. The hotel is conveniently located in the midst of MIT/Cambridge adjacent to a Boston T-station. There are many eating options within walking distance. The hotel is fine in all respects. Staff was friendly, everything works well (including internet), finishes and furniture were high class. Housekeeping was daily. Certainly no complaints. The Marriot is only a few blocks from the Charles River, which has a sidewalk/jogging path along its banks. This is the best option for running/jogging as the local city streets are usually crowded. That said, this part of town pretty much closes down by 10:00 pm, so jogging in the late evening on the streets in an option.

When I checked into my hotel rooms at around 11am on June 15th, I noticed that the room was extremely hot. I lowered the AC before we left. After returning at 6pm, the temperature of the room was still warm. It seemed like the AC was broken in both of the rooms I booked. We contacted maintenance who came to the rooms and assured us the issue was resolved. However, after coming back from our night plans, the rooms were still very hot and the AC was not working whatsoever. We contacted the front desk again and another maintenance worker inspected both rooms only to discover the AC was broken. I’m extremely dissatisfied with this experience as we had to stay up till 2am in order to relocate rooms so that we could be comfortable for the reminder of our stay.

The front desk charged almost $100/night resort fees without prior explanation. The room was spacious & clean, but had multiple issues - our AC did not work & the bathroom sink was clogged. Excellent housekeeping staff and close proximity to MIT are a plus. Otherwise, it was a disappointing stay.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews but I just have to be honest about this one. The hotel is very very nice. Zero complaints there but I spent over $800 for my stay and you have to pay for WiFi… WiFi! lol like be serious for a second. You’d think if you’re paying that much money you would have nice accommodations, also the control room temperature sucks. They set it to 75 and it has some kind of control on it but it literally takes all day to cool your room if it’s hot outside. Again for $800 you’d think you could enjoy your room right? No. It may not be much for some but for a person that majority stays in their room it was a big deal for me. Other than that I have no complaints. Oh if you’re thinking of upgraded rooms for the lounge don’t. It’s not even worth it

When booking through a 3rd party such as hotels.com, you get their worst room. The front desk even confirmed this. I was in a room with a horrible hard bed & a terrible view of a construction area. I asked to be moved but since I was booked through hotels.com there was no chance.

The room was very poorly designed. No overhead light and the lamps were not well placed to illuminate the desk area. Not enough drawers to unpack. The heat system hardly worked -/ we had to hike it up to 79 to feel any warmth and there were no extra blankets to be had. Also it’s 48 hours since we checked out and our final bill has not yet been delivered.

Visited Cambridge for 4th of July. Always wanted to see fireworks in Boston! Made a reservation in Feb at another hotel. On July 1 was notified that fireworks would not be able to be seen from their property. Then steps in Marriot at Cambridge. They fit us in at last minute. We were celebrating my birthday and 39th wedding anniversary. At the desk was Malika...she was a joy. Upgraded our room to a high corner room. The manager sent us wine, and snacks. They all were so professional and kind! All the restaurants were great. Legal seafood near hotel was fabulous. End result..we walked to memorial drive from hotel( 12 min walk) and were in the first row. The beautiful once in a lifetime fireworks were launched right on the river with perfect view. This hotel is the best, highly recommend!

It was a beautiful hotel. We ate at the restaurant because it was below freezing outside, so we did not want to walk around. There were a few limited restaurants within walking distance, but nonetheless we chose to eat there. The food was okay. My daughter got a chicken sandwich and the chicken wasn’t cooked all the way. So we did not go back for breakfast. There’s plenty of other choices driving.

This hotel had very quick check-in and staff was very friendly. My room was well equiped (large refrigerator, plenty of towels) and it was spotless! Everything looks new in the bathroom. Very nice. Of note - I would be much happier if there was a real bar/restaurant on the property. The M Lounge is not enough for such a large hotel.

Great location. Subway station out the back door. Recommend buying breakfast with your reservation. The staff in the dining room are so very warm and friendly. Check in was fast and efficient. Loved the room design, the view and the fridge.

This hotel offered us a great stay and the rate was excellent. Front desk staff (throughout the stay)was excellent. They were knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Hotel is very clean, rooms and bathrooms are impecable. No mold, dust or dirt anywhere (even around corners and nightstands). Beautiful city views from rooms. Located steps from T station with some food options nearby. Hotel food and restaurant staff was great. Would stay here again.

We had a very nice experience. The hotel is closed to MIT and you have the metro right there to commute around the city. Dining options around (the hotels food is amazing btw) is aceptable, specially RAW 34, pizzeria and Tate.
