Kind and attentive staff. The lobby is attractive, and the fitness center and pool area were great. However, sleeping at this facility left me completely unrested. The walls are paper-thin. In the first room we were in, you could hear cars, trucks, motorcycles. It got so bad, we packed up our things, contacted the front desk, and moved to another room in the middle of the night. The new room was great for being away from the highway, but terrible for everything else. We could hear people talking, showering, closing doors. The room next door was so loud in conversation that I had to knock on his door to tell him to talk softer. We should not have been able to hear him in the first place. If you're here for a night or two, it's fine, but any longer, I'd recommend staying elsewhere. This hotel should also consider getting rid of the carpet in the rooms, considering how many people and pets walk on it.

I just love this place. I have stayed in some other courtyard Marriott, where nobody pays attention to the condition of the actual courtyard. But this one was so clean and there was even a fire pit that the nice young gentleman at the front desk lit for me and my friends. Their kitchen bar area is open until 9 PM which is a nice treat when you get in late.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is an easy on/off the freeway. There is an outdoor area with patio furniture, so that was nice to have a place to sit outside. The pool wasn’t working at the time. The property is a bit older and could use a deep cleaning but overall I was comfortable staying there and would go back again.

The lobby was beautiful, as was our room. Our room was clean and we were happy with it overall. However, we did find a pill of some kind from the previous guest that had been overlooked by housekeeping when they cleaned the room, and it was in an easily spotted location. The previous guests' bar of soap had also been left in the shower, so that made me wonder if the shower had been cleaned. The bed was very comfortable and the refrigerator was excellent. The few sodas and water we brought stayed very cold. I wasn't pleased at all that coffee was not available until 7:00am. We, along with many other people, are early risers and I wasn't happy to have to wait to get coffee. Also, the only coffee you can get is from the Starbucks inside the hotel. This is the first time out of staying at countless hotels, that coffee was not available by 5:30am. It is also the first time ever that a regular cup of coffee wasn't complimentary. You would think that a Marriott ran hotel could at least provide complimentary coffee and a continental breakfast. While I was waiting to get coffee downstairs, I made the coffee in the room, and it was horrible. There is never enough creamer or sugar in the room for those. Chances are, we wouldn't stay there again when we can stay somewhere right down the street, that is just as nice but we can get coffee earlier and a continental breakfast.

The person who checked us in was very kind and helpful. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The property was very clean and our room looked newly renovated. The room was very spacious. We will definitely come back again!

The staff at this hotel were excellent. Service was quick and correct. All of the employees with whom we had contact were knowable and courteous. The location was great and the parking was easy. The beds were comfortable and well appointed. In point of fact there was only one element that tainted our stay, and given the excellence exhibited in all other area was entirely surprising. The hotel is in serious need of cleaning. The carpets are very dirty as are the public surfaces. The walls and doors are covered in various spills. There are some really bad smells both in the rooms and public areas. In closing, it seems a shame that a hotel with such good performance is brought down by a sub-standard cleaning staff.

Only negatives are in regards to the room itself: the decor seems a little dated, the tv was in an awkward position, the pillows were very very flat, and the mattress was horrendous- you can feel the springs. Other than that, the staff was so nice and the lobby area is gorgeous and they had very yummy cupcakes!

We visited Duke University to help my child move out. The hotel is 2 miles away from both East and West campuses. We stayed on the first floor. The beds were comfortable, and the pullout table was convenient for work. Other amenities are basic but has met our needs.

Staff was very friendly and professional. The room was nice and clean. We did not like our room location. The lights from the interstate/restaurant next door shined into our room all night. There were no black out curtains. There’s a track for a curtain but no black out curtain which would have helped tremendously. Also the noise from the interstate is loud and noisy. When we got to the room, there was no coffee pot. We did ask for one and we received it. Pool was not open which was disappointing.

The staff, especially front desk staff were especially helpful and welcoming, which was greatly appreciated as we had just come in after many hours of driving on college tours. Positive prior reviews on staff was what attracted me to book our reservation. The reviews were accurate. The room was comfortable, easy access from the highway, and they have Starbucks coffee, which was a plus. Recommend.

Staff response to our concerns/issues was not as expected from a Marriott brand hotels. The day manager stated that rooms are cleaned on the third day of your stay...not daily. This information was shared upon check-in or stated in writing. The plumbing was not adequate. We were given a plunger to correct the situation ourselves. The front desk did not answer when we called from the room. The tv remote did not work. An extremely disappointing stay for us.

The floors had stains in the carpet everywhere. I went to the Starbucks to ask for hot water and the Asian lady that worked there saw me standing there waiting to ask a question and she kept carrying on personal conversation with another guess for the 5 minutes that I was standing there. It seemed as if they had been talking for quite some time before I got there. They would look at me and keep talking, then finally she broke away from the conversation to see what I wanted and before I can ask she said that they were closed. I told her that i wanted hot water in my cup. Then she attempted to look around the lobby to see if there was another hot water dispenser and it wasn't. I stated to her trust me I have already looked for another out after you all kept talking while I was standing there. I was patient but that was definitely rude and disrespectful of her to keep talking when she knew I needed to ask something.

When we encountered a problem in our room the front desk quickly gave us an alternative room and also breakfast vouchers. That was nice. Still, the prices at the breakfast bistro were crazy high. $24 for two cups of luke warm coffee that did not taste like Starbucks and a fruit cup and a yogurt and fruit parfait. The second room was nice and very comfortable. There was a lot of perfume or air scent in the halls and lobby.

Right off I-85 South. Comfortable bed & pillows cold a/c clean room quiet only stayed the night driving through. A free breakfast would have made it better but the Starbucks coffee shop/food was good The bottom of the tub was weird it’s curved and hard to stand in but the water pressure was awesome & hot! I’d stay again Thank You!

The toilette is very shallow which made going to the bathroom difficult. The ceiling are 7 feet tall. Breakfast is at their Starbuck's, cost per day, two people an additional $40 with tips.
