Great value. I saw the other reviews, so I was a little wary at first. And I could see how the noise could be a problem, since all rooms face the street. That said, we stayed two nights and all was fine. Pros: 1/2 the price of the next lowest priced hotel in the area. Pets stay free. Clean! Big, comfortable king-sized bed. Enough lights and electric sockets. Shower pressure was fine with plenty of hot water. AC worked fine. TV 24/7 coffee, decaf & hot water in the office. Everything you might want is within walking/ 5 minute drive. Cons: Cramped -- bed takes up most of the room. While the room had a desk, chair, TV, there wasn't much room to spread out -- if that's important to you. Also, my room did not come with a microwave & fridge -- if I wanted them, they would charge me an extra $45 (I declined). And like I said, I was there on a Monday-Wed, and it was quiet. But I could see how, depending on who checked in, it could be noisy. So overall, great value compared to similar options. I would definitely stay here again.

Checked in fast and easily. Room was clean but the floor in the elevator & the elevator was nasty. Needs to be wiped down. Trash was over flowing out of the cans. The elevator seems old & outdated. I rode it once to get my things to the room as I was on the 3rd floor. That was the only time I used it. Room was clean, it was fine. Nothing spectacular, but for just a place to sleep after work it was fine for the price. One of the cleaner cheaper hotels. Decent location, near stores, shopping, gas stations.

They light up the parking lot really well at night which made us feel safer getting from car to hotel and reduce the possibility of break ins. Beds were not the most comfortable and were squeaky. We arrived late and left early so the price, it worked for what we needed it for.

Night manager was very friendly. Motel is conveniently located just off the interstate next to gas stations and iHop. It would be improved by the addition of mini fridges and microwaves and a real rug.

This property has bed bug, dust mites and or fleas !!!!! We left IMMEDIATELY and I still didn't get my deposit back ! The main office stinks even smells unsanitary!!!! So made I wasted $80 on the room and $50 for a deposit I should have gotten back by now ! I don't recommend this place AT ALL

The front desk gentleman was VERY kind and helpful at check in. However, there are people loitering and yelling in the parking lot at all hours. The property is what I would consider barely maintained. Things that could easily be power washed or cleaned are not. The room itself is musty and, quite frankly, filthy. There were hair trimmings all over the sink, faucet, countertops and it is impossible to have cleaned and missed that. I was not expecting this to be a Ritz, but given the reviews I did expect basic cleanliness. The bed appeared to have clean sheets but even then I was very concerned, given everything else. Take that as you will.

I stayed here several years ago, and found this an acceptable location with minimal but clean services. Unfortunately, it looks like nothing has been done to maintain the building since then. There was a cockroach in the bathroom, one light did not work, and the carpet under the bed was moist and gross to touch with bare feet. Additionally, the mattresses were extraordinarily thin and uncomfortable, and one of the double beds made a loud metallic thunking noise every time my partner rolled over. I know this is a motel in a city, but it will not be one we return to--there are other hotel and motels in the area for around $10 more per night that are absolutely worth that extra ten spot.

This motel was not worth the $92 I paid for my “superior room”. The towels were old, worn out, and heavily stained. The bedding was either stained or dirty and unwashed. There was random hair in the shower. The check in was slow with a rather unfriendly man at the desk. There was someone power washing around check in time (I find this unprofessional - especially when the power washer didn’t stop when a guest was heading for the lobby. The power washing continued for several hours, and since the walls are very thin you hear everything. Rather unpleasant. The motel seemed pretty empty, yet three rooms in a row were occupied, making it uncomfortable to even hold a conversation in our room, since we could hear our neighbors, we know they could hear us. I also happen to be allergic to marijuana smoke, so walking through a cloud of it from my neighbor was equally unpleasant. I don’t see myself returning to this motel.

I liked that it was next door to IHOP. The telephone did not work and I forgot report it. There was a blown bulb in the desk lamp. I liked that it was close to Duke as I had surgery the next day.

1. The room was not clean at all. The sheets and pillow covers were dirty. Called the front desk multiple times and no response. 2. The coffee in the lobby was terrible. 3. The mattress was not comfortable at all. Also, has lot of road noise.

Not the cleanest, certainly not the newest. Super loud AC unit, very close to interstate, loud Less than 10 minutes from Duke Hospital, walking distance to several restaurants, make it convenient for Duke.

Stopped for a night’s sleep on way back from Funeral. Found room well kept but it was obvious that whoever used the room prior had been smoking cigarettes and maybe something else. Major cigarette smell in room although it was supposed to be a smoke free room.

Beds are pretty high off the floor and slippery on the base. Difficult for shorter people or elderly to get on and off. Flat pillows and no extras when requested. Bathroom very small!

The motel needs updating. My room smells like cigarettes and the bed matteras is very hard. The pillows are flat as pancakes. The front desk guy was very nice.

When we arrived there was no hot water and the property was roped off. I mentioned to the gentleman behind the counter that checked us in that I didn’t believe we needed to stay because I was having a major life changing surgery the following morning and he just ignored us. He wouldn’t let us cancel or anything. We stayed and thankfully had hot water the following morning, however it was very inconvenient to us.

I filled out online with the Red Roof local web site that I had a funeral to attend at 1:00pm I requested a early check. When I got there they could not find my reservations plus I had to pay $30.00 extra for early check in and I have never had to do that my entire life and I am 73 years old. Assessment of the Room 301 was no liquid soap in sink by bathroom and no liquid soap or shampoo in the shower either. Something told me to get out of there that the place would be rough at nite. Doors were open to some rooms on the 1st floor and people were wandering around the parking as well. I have mags wheels on my vehicle and something told me they would be gone if stayed that nite. once I changed close for the funeral I turned in my key and left and did not return and drove 4 hours back home after the funeral. This place needs to be inspected thoroughly and be shut down. I believe you will find they have some long term tenants staying there as well. Right before I checked in another guy brought his key back and said an emergency came up and he needed to cancel his room as well!

I showed up with a reservation and was told no rooms were available, even though the clerk confirmed I needed an accessible room. He got on his phone and called someone (manager?) and was told to tell me no rooms were available! Horrible! I then had to go back online to find a room somewhere else! I made reservation at Red Roof WEEKS ago to avoid this!

All the features of a drive in motel with no upgrades since the 70's. If you don't enjoy people smoking Marijuana and hanging out in the open hallways and stairwells, I recommend to avoid this hotel.

There were people moving personal belongings in and out of rooms all evening and into the night. People arguing outside. Transients loitering on and around the property. Caught someone looking in my car around 1am and ran out to sit in my car to scare them away. Staff was good. Room was fine, poorly cleaned but fine enough to stay a night. I’d probably look else-where to stay a night when im in the area again.

As a solo female traveler the property immediately felt unsafe and very unkept. Thought I would stay as I can’t judge a book by it’s cover and it was only for one night. Went to the room which reeked immediately of smoke. As I was going back to change rooms I was stopped by another resident asking for a ride. There were people who appeared to be homeless sitting in the parking area and someone fixing their car in the parking area. I ended up canceling my stay as I just wasn’t feeling safe and had to trust my gut.
