I have stayed at this hotel every year for the last 15 years. It has declined substantially. The carpet has not been cleaned. The elevator does not work. Residents are noisy at night, compelling me to call the front desk every night and ask for them to quiet down. The shower in my room did not work. I will not be coming back.

Overall average stay was poor to fair. Breakfast was only from 7-9am. Limited breakfast during week vs the weekend (more breakfast items served on the weekend. Multiple stains noted on our bed sheets and when we requested for a replacement sheets my husband had to go downstairs to pick up the replacement sheets as they was only one person manning the front desk and no housekeeping. No tissue boxes to replace our empty box. Most concerning was the broken back door which allowed anyone to enter without a key card.

Two years ago, this was a great budget friendly place to stay. This year however, the property has gone downhill. My first room had no fridge, phone, or alarm clock. The walls and sink were chipped. My 2nd room was better but even though the rooms itself were nonsmoking, the 1st floor and 3rd floor were permeated with the unmistakable smell of weed at night. The one elevator had not been inspected since 2020 and the digital floor pad was not working correctly. The hotel charged my card the morning before my check in time, charged my again at check in. All in all I had 3 charges for our stay, with 2 charges finally falling off my card the next week. Also, if you stay for more than one night, you will have to go to the front desk for a reactivation of key card each day as it will not work.

Bed was a little hard, hallway smelled of weed smoke. It's funny, because you can't smoke cigarettes but they allow weed. I addressed this at checkout. The Desk Clerk just shrugged. Still 4.5 out of 5 stars for me! Bed was hard! Pet friendly, security cameras everywhere! Free Coffee at all hours, breakfast in the morning. Plenty of places to eat around! Even a waffle house!

Check-in staff was very pleasant, even at 10:00 p.m. for a late arrival. First room was fine but the air conditioner did not work. Second room had a working AC but had a musty odor. The staff was great, except my door had an issue of locking which I brought to the staff's attention. Lot of the interior was really run down. The cleaning people were very noisy. Some strange person wearing a hoody went around knocking on every door, didn't feel safe. Did not feel great about seeing a cockroach.

Was booked to stay for a week. I passed the building twice because it looked nothing like the photos provided when booking. First red flag after walking into the lobby, there was a crackhead asking reception if they offered hourly rates and I couldn’t blame her after looking at the condition of the place. But rate was cheap and I didn’t expect to hang out in the lobby so not too bothered, yet. Asked to be put in a room that overlooked the parking so I can keep an eye on the car. They replied that they were fully booked like I’m an idiot and didn’t see a total of 4 cars in the parking lot. Reception was magically able to find the right room available after doing the math. Thought the worst was behind me until I opened the door to the room. It was filthy, stains on the wall which were accentuated with crumbling furniture and the smell of regret. I spent a total of 15 minutes in there booking another hotel before I went back to reception requesting a refund and checkout. Microtel hid behind hotels.com, hotels.com hid behind getting “approval” from Wyndam to refund me. I spent 15 minutes in the room out of a week long stay and they have the audacity to put it through a “review process”. The low price doesn’t justify the issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and the overall unacceptable condition of the property. Bedbugs!! The second day of my stay, my walls had MANY bedbugs on them. There were no bug bombs available when the front desk manager checked, so i got trash bags to pack my stuff in and left. Still waiting to hear from the general manager about the situation. I missed a night of work because of this.

I had to check out an hour after arriving because the room hadn’t been cleaned. There were crumbs in all corners of the floor, blood stains on the bed, brown splatter on the mirror & walls & phone. The phone didn’t work & there was a fire detector dangling from the ceiling. They didn’t have a different room to offer me so I had to book elsewhere. When I spoke with the front desk to resolve this - I asked for Lysol wipes so I could at least wipe the room down myself and was handed two rags & a bottle of cleaning solution because there was no staff on site to clean the room properly. I cleaned up what I could then still decided I didn’t feel safe staying there.

They have roaches big ones and lil ones as well as ticks... the hotel refused to answer the phone for hotels.com and refused to refund me... we traveled from Detroit to Louisville and this experience was horrible... NEVER SLEEP HERE.... i booked for 2 days stayed 2 hours and was forced to pay full balance for both nights no help from hotels.com or microtel

The facility is in very poor condition. There was hair all through the beds, in the bathtub and sink. My wife and daughter were so grossed out by the bathroom that they wouldn't even shower. The smoke free room smelled like smoke and the sink was full of burn marks. Cheapest in the area and the quality shows.

Nothing super positive to say, but luckily there was nothing terrible either.. Lobby and hallways had a persistent weed odor but luckily the room did not. Front desk staff was hit or miss; some were friendly and others indifferent. Breakfast area was marginal. Housekeeping was nonexistent during a 6 day stay. You get what you pay for, so none of this was a surprise.

Nastiest place on earth filthy dirty carpet my bed sheets had blood on them when I went to get in my bed the first night. I didn’t even want to get in the bed at all after that and ants. There’s as many ants as they are drug dealers and people using drugs and that hotel thousands of ants coming in windows in the out underneath the walls, the floors the drains in the sinks, just stay away from that place. It’s just nasty folks.

The place was clean and the bed was comfortable but the mini-refrigerator was broken. I asked a couple of times for the mini-refrigerator to be replaced and was assured it would happen, but there was no follow-up. There was also an issue with lighting in the room. There were two lamps over a small desk area that were literally dangling loosely from the wall. One lamp had no bulb and the other had a bulb that didn't work. I told the front desk but there was no follow up. There was no phone in the room so I had to make multiple trips to the front desk to report/follow-up on these problems. Lastly, there were no hangars in the room.

My friends and I were returning to Canada from a long motorcycle trip. We booked this hotel because the price was very low and all we really needed was a place to sleep for a few hours. The inside of the hotel was very hot, no air conditioning was turned on. I guess this is good environmentally but it was very uncomfortable. The air conditioning was not on in the rooms as well, it took over an hour for the air conditioner (dated) to cool the room. The room itself had a nice bed, sheets freshly changed and made properly. There was a remote for a TV that did not exist. There were only the barest of essentials (soap, tissue, toilet paper, towels). There was no water available, choices for alcohol or other beverages, snacks, or other toiletries common in most other hotel rooms. The air conditioner was dated and its operation was loud making it difficult to fall asleep. There was a continental breakfast offered which consisted of buscuits and gravy with watered down orange and apple juice. I don't mind that the rooms are rustic and there aren't a lot of amenities but some attention to small comforts would have gone a long way. The one thing that was good was the desk manager or concierge. He was attentive, friendly, and professional.

The toilet in the room would constantly clog. Three separate times I said something to the front desk and they just handed me a plunger. I ended up just buying a plunger and knowing that anytime you flushed any toilet paper the toilet would need to be plunged. There are also large marks in the toilet where it looked like someone had unsuccessfully attempted to snake the toilet. On top of that I could tell that the sheets and pillows in the room had not been washed because they had hair in them was very obviously not my own.
The toilet in the room would constantly clog. Three separate times I said something to the front desk and they just handed me a plunger. I ended up just buying a plunger and knowing that anytime you flushed any toilet paper the toilet would need to be plunged. There are also large marks in the toilet where it looked like someone had unsuccessfully attempted to snake the toilet. On top of that I could tell that the sheets and pillows in the room had not been washed because they had hair in them was very obviously not my own.

I stayed here about two weeks ago and this was definitely a different experience. Front desk staff were rude and condescending at the start. The 1st shift guy passed off our checking-in to the even more unfriendly 2nd shift employee who informed me of the deposit needed for the room. I have stayed at this location 4 other times and not one time have I ever had to pay a deposit.

The 2nd shift lady from the front desk came to my door 3 times telling me to stop outside so she could whoop my ass. She said I acted like I was better than everyone else and she was going to shove my silver spoon down my throat and if I told anybody she’d have her boyfriends gang members come after me.

It was fine and for the cost, exactly what i wanted and expected- a room and some privacy. I enjoyed the several enterances/exits (and the fact that you can only access with your room key). Breakfast times werent posted and the one time i woke up around 1030 and headed downstaors, everything was already cleaned up and put away. Not necessarily a deal breaker for me personally. The room itself was very clean and tidy, no complaints! The staff was friendly and prompt. My only issue was that the area around the hotel is a little sketchy. We tried to walk to a gas station around the corner but it’s poorly lit and we ended up being chased by a truck and turned back before we even got there, but none of that’s the hotel’s fault. I just wish there was more places closer that you could walk to without walking through unlit areas with no one around, it’s scary for sure.

I called ahead to let them know (8pm) that I WAS coming but would be there after midnight. The girl changed my reservation to the next day... the security deposit was supposed to be 40$. They charged my card 63.00 not once but twice. Their "continental " breakfast is a grab and go!! They had cereal, bread, 3 bagles and 2 muffin. Oh Im sorry 6 yougrts as well. That was their "contintal" breakfast. My room was by the elevator annnd it was LOUD sounds all night.

My friends and I were returning to Canada from a long motorcycle trip. We booked this hotel because the price was very low and all we really needed was a place to sleep for a few hours. The inside of the hotel was very hot, no air conditioning was turned on. I guess this is good environmentally but it was very uncomfortable. The air conditioning was not on in the rooms as well, it took over an hour for the air conditioner (dated) to cool the room. The room itself had a nice bed, sheets freshly changed and made properly. There was a remote for a TV that did not exist. There were only the barest of essentials (soap, tissue, toilet paper, towels). There was no water available, choices for alcohol or other beverages, snacks, or other toiletries common in most other hotel rooms. The air conditioner was dated and its operation was loud making it difficult to fall asleep. There was a continental breakfast offered which consisted of buscuits and gravy with watered down orange and apple juice. I don't mind that the rooms are rustic and there aren't a lot of amenities but some attention to small comforts would have gone a long way. The one thing that was good was the desk manager or concierge. He was attentive, friendly, and professional.

First run we were given looked as though someone else was still using the room. The second room we were given was filthy and we had to clean the A/C unit in order to get it to work. Both rooms were horrible, and the desk clerk did his best to correct the issues but there really wasn’t much he could do.
