Comfort Inn The Pointe

The room was clean, Wi-Fi worked well for all our devices. The location was what drew us to this hotel, it is directly across the road to the entrance of Niagara Falls State Park. The convenience was wonderful. There is a small brewery/restaurant on property that was delicious, and outside were several food trucks, and many small cafes, pizza places etc with in walking distance. The hotel was also convenient to walking across Rainbow Bridge into Canada. Now the down side, 6 floors and only one ice maker worked, hubby tried every floor, and the only working machine was on the 6th floor. Once we knew where it was, it was only a slight inconvenience. Parking....be prepared, I read online that it was $10 a night, but upon arrival they said it was $20 a night. It was the slow season and the parking lot was almost empty and the kicker was that they were charging the public only $15 a day to park. I voiced my displeasure with that arrangement, and they waived the fee. Overall, I would definitely stay here again for all the conveniences.

The stay was nice but when I went to breakfast I was talking to other people and ask them how they liked Comfort Inn. 3 other visitors heard us talking and had a concern about the same thing. The $20 day parking was brought to my attention. I had already paid for hotel and now they want $20 a day to park. I stayed here in 2023 and parking was free. We placed the parking pass on the car dash and that was it. The people I was speaking with were upset because they didn’t see on the booking about the parking fee. That seemed to be the only complaint. So if you stayed at The Comfort Inn The Point, let me know if you new about the $20 a day Parking when you booked your hotel room. By the way the breakfast type breakfast was awesome. We stayed 2 days.

Disappointed in the pillows that were too squishy and had no support to them. There was no microwave in the room. Hotel needs a pool. Breakfast was very good with a nice array of options. The parking lot was hard to find as there were no signs.

The gentlemen that checked us in was not friendly at all. Also, they charge $20 for parking. $250 a night to stay there and they charge for parking? I’ve never heard of such a thing. We will find another hotel to stay at next time we visit Niagara Falls.

Next to Niagara Falls pointe park, almost stone throw away distance, they offer free parking for guests, rooms were clean, pre-book rooms as almost full on weekdays as well, there are lot of food options around hotel is slightly old but maintained

The property is a very great spot if you want to explore the state park. It is near every thing. When I say everything the park, food, store, the casino, old falls street. They also have vending machine and ice machine inside the hotel. They offer free breakfast. Its always jam packed and a lot of timea its hard to find a table during breakfast. Our room has a leaking faucet. We called it in but nothing was done. Other than that the room was spacious, clean, has a mini fridge and free wifi. $10 a day is not included in the reservation.

Wonderful location. Clean rooms. Decent breakfast buffet. All but one ice machine were broken. Only the 6th floor ice machine worked. Definitely recommend for location.

Great location for the American side, very convenient to walk to the fall, and parking was easy, but an additional $10 a day. We had reserved a two queen room upper level, but none was available when we arrived because they weren’t cleaned. They gave us an “upgrade” to a handicap accessible room, which we did not like it all. It was basically two rooms with the inside wall removed and the TV was on one end and our bed on the other. Plus, only one chair.But at least they tried.

Great location near the falls. No air conditioning in lobby or elevators. Bit dirty in public areas.

Excellent location, lateral parking area in construction, hard to find for Uber drivers

We went for a family vacation. When you walk into the hotel the smell is overpowering and the staff stare at you and do not acknowledge you. They are very rude and when you ask a question you feel like you are bothering them. It took over an hour to get towels and we went to the desk to just pick them up but apparently they send someone to you. Our room was on the first floor and there were gnats and a roach in the bathroom. When I say gnats I mean tons of them that you start feeling itchy. We complained about the gnats and were told that there is nothing they can do because they are sold out. I then said get someone to spray the room instead an hour later they send two teenagers with a rag each to try to swat them all. The boys said they are sorry but there are too many and we should complain. We had to leave the bathroom door shut and light on every day so the gnats would stay primarily in the bathroom. Floors are filthy. We went to get breakfast on day one and as soon as you walk in you were sticking to the dirty floor and the food was cold, potatoes had several hairs in them. So we left and never went back(even though it’s free). On a side note it is walking distance to Niagara Falls state park(that was the only positive thing I can say about this hotel). Honestly this is my first time leaving a review on a hotel because the experience was so bad that I want to make sure that this doesn’t happen to anyone else. There are several hotels by the Falls avoid Comfort Inn Point

Good location but grubby and run down

Great view from the room (we had the top last room with 2 windows looking over the falls above the trees) but the room was dirty. The head board was worn out. This place was an active construction site with nothing taped off. In the stairwell there was paint peeling off the walls. When trying to check in the tablets they used were flopping all over the place and the staff continued with their conversation while we were checking in making up feel like we did not matter and us checking in was the last thing they were concerned about. Not to mention, on the check in system the person who got checked in before us still had all the information on the screen because they “forgot to send it through”; I would be pissed if someone else saw all my information.

The hotel is old and not well maintained. The front desk clerk sat on her phone when we checked in and I had to reach over the counter to give her my license. She was too busy FaceTiming someone. The refrigerator knob was broken and the fridge either was warm or froze everything. The carpet was dirty. The bathroom shower grout was black. The doors did not close well and everyone had to slam them shut. The only good thing was the proximity to the falls.

Cleanliness & hygiene

The room needs a deep clean. Spider webs in corners, mature dust over bathroom ceiling fan, dust in corners, bathroom floor was kind of nasty. Stairwell kind of dirty too. 2 queen beds only had one night stand to share between two beds. The outer sleepers had no place to put their items. Pros: Convenient location to visit Niagara Falls, $200 per week night in Sept 2024. Towels were clean.

Its very near to Niagara falls state park, only 4mnts walk which was very convenient for us. Room was not cleaned properly. Especially the rug. It was so dirty. Parking was not free. We had to pay 20$ extra which was nit given while booking.

The breakfast and the dining room works great the staff at the dining room was great also but the rooms and the furniture seems old and dirty we have to clean the tables and we got very dirty clothes I'm doing that otherwise safety and quiet

Terrible place! Well located but the hotel is horrible! Dirty, unpleasant, it smells bad. It really wasn't a good experience for me or my family! For the same price you can go to a hotel with a good location and good conditions! I think it's the worst hotel I've ever been able to stay in my life.

This hotel is perfectly located on the American side with beautiful views of Niagara State Park and very close to the Rainbow Bridge. It is clean with a comfortable bed. However, it is old and needs renovating. There is no sound proofing and you can hear the people in the next room. We lucked out and got a corner room (2 great views) on the 6th floor. We loved it.

Location was perfect for walking to the Falls but that was the best part of this hotel. This hotel is very outdated and pretty dirty. Wallpaper chipping everywhere and stains on walls. Rooms are very small and carpet needs replaced. It's ripped and stained. The staff was on another level. Don't ask for anything. They all (except the lady who worked the morning shift) seemed so bothered that they had to work. Every time I had a question they were so bothered that they had to pause their TikTok videos and look up from their phones. Very rude staff, especially the guy working the night shift. He even made the comment of "why do I have to keep getting up? Ugh!"

Bathroom had broken faucets

Location was excellent for access to the falls. Bed was comfortable. Friendly staff. Loud outside though, you could hear all the things happening outside.

The best location in Niagara Falls, an easy walk to all of the action. The rooms, although advertised as modern were in need of renovation. we were on the ground floor and Han no curtain other than a sheer and people could see in the room when we had the lights on. It was the only hotel that we stayed at in USA that didn't have a safe in the room. The breakfast and the all day coffee were wonderful.

The location is perfect. Breakfast was fabulous. The breakfast staff made sure all items, of which there were many, were stocked. In fact all staff-front desk, cleaning-- all excellent. Problem in our room: most electrical outlets did not work.

The room was on the first floor and you could not close the curtains!!! Our room was by parking lot, so all could see in room at anytime of the day! Floor between bath and living area, tore up, sharp items sticking up.

They were very unaccommodating. When talking to front desk they were always rude and talked like they didn't care about their job, the hotel, and especially guest. Never will book a Comfort in again.

Started off rough as didn’t have the room I reserved (king) so had to accept double room. When checking out total was more than supposed to be, as we had to take double room it was on upper floor and they were going to charge more! Clerk at checkout was nice and helpful, clerk at checkin acted as though I was a bother. Breakfast on day 1 was out of food one hour before closing and they didn’t make any more- many people were upset about that. Day 2 we went 2 hours before closing and did get to eat but it was running low when we left. Had to ask for toilet paper (only little left on roll), lampshades need to be replaced- cracked. Good was location as right at entrance to state park, bed was very comfortable-slept great!

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It's as close as possible to the American falls and Bridal Veil fall. But I cannot believe at this prince point, the staff can be so unfriendly! At checkin, they were cold and indifferent. When I went to ask for a toothbrush explaining I forgot to pack one, I was told they were out of toothbrush since the morning, with no apology or any facial expression. Next morning when it rained, I went to ask whether they had punchos, I was told stonely no. 3 different staff members at three different encounters and they all had the experession and air that they didn't care or bother to help. It's a shame that they had such a prime location but they wasted that advantage with their poor service.

The afternoon front desk staff was amazing

The hotel was close to everything. We didn’t need a car to go to the national Park. Very convenient! Nancy at the front desk was exceptional!

The lady who sits at the front desk was little rude. She was showing indifferent behavior for guests. We came at 1pm on the day of checkIn 3 hours before official check in time of 4pm. Since my son was unwell I had requested her to allow early check in into the hotel. First she said there is little chance even though it was weekday and was not very crowded. Later she said come back and enquire at 3pm. I kept on asking her after every 30 minutes but she couldn’t accommodate. I mean common if someone is unwell can’t management provide a room in priority consideration checkout time is 11am sharp. I feel the lady was rude and she was busy attending to her priority guests. I didn’t like here behavior where there is no human touch. Finally frustrated and I requested the other guy who was also attending there and bingo I got the room at 3:45pm

The staff was not friendly, and we did not receive housekeeping assistance or fresh towels despite multiple requests. Under the pretense of being environmentally friendly, rooms are not cleaned unless specifically requested in advance. It would be helpful if the hotel could provide a more welcoming experience upon arrival, clearly explain housekeeping policies, and ensure that guest requests are addressed in a timely manner.

Excellent location. Staff is rude and there was no one on the counter for very long time!! Breakfast was a joke, nothing to eat. The guy who was managing the supplies was very rude and got yelling when we asked for empty trays. But, room is good, location is very convenient and walkable to THE NIAGARA

We arrived at 1 pm and they said they never have rooms before 3. Came back at 3. There computers were down and couldn't give any rooms. They were not accommodating. Then we stayed out till 5 trying to find things to do. When we got back there was only one person at the desk and a long long line. The guy at the desk was working hard. I have never experienced some thing like that. I picture of the comfort inn looks much better than it is. The room was ok but the halls were really warm. I was not impressed at all. The breakfasts were fine, typical hotel buffet. All in all I would not stay there again.

Check in was supposed to be from 4pm. We arrived at that time to be told that our room was not ready. Over 20 other people were also waiting in the small reception with only 8 seats. This is not acceptable. The poor girl on reception was put in a very tough situation having to explain to everyone that the rooms were not ready and could give no time frame as to when we would be able to enter our booked room. Several people asked to speak to a manager only to be told that nobody was available. Unsure if I would stay here again because of this situation we were put in.

The location is the closest to the falls.

Loved how close it was to the State Park & Niagara Falls, could walk all around the area! Also very close & easy to walk over to Canada. The building/rooms need some updating..the carpet in our room is just old and stained. A pool would be nice and a restaurant in the building would be great too! Or suggestions/menus of local restaurants and coupons to use.

Top location if you want to explore the falls NY side. Walkable to attractions with plenty of eating options.

This Location was a perfect walk to Niagara falls park and fall approx 5 min and very easy walk to the Rainbow bridge to cross over to Canda , comfortable room overlooking the park i had a nice stay

The hotel is conveniently located, just steps ( literally) from the Niagara Falls Park, 3 min walk to the Maid of the Mist. Hotel was clean, beds comfortable, included nice breakfast with good selection of items. There was iced water and brownies in the lobby, which were greatly appreciated . Staff was professional and very nice . They accommodated late check-out , as we were planning to go to the boat in the morning. In general I recommend this hotel .

Good breakfast! They let us leave the suitcases in the deposit room after we checked out. Overall very satisfied

Close to Niagra falls Breakfast was disappointing

This is a decent hotel for a short stay to see Niagara Falls. The top selling feature is the proximity to the falls. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the American Falls and Maid of the Mist and a 10 minute walk to Cave of the Winds and the other activities on Goat Island. The lobby is tight and was crowded. We found a parking spot easily, but parking is not included with your reservation. Our room was clean and updated and the bathroom was decent. The breakfast was very nice, but crowded which should be expected in the summer when everyone is trying to get out early to see the falls. Our biggest issue was that when we arrived at 4:15 to check in (15 minutes after our promised check-in time), our room was not ready and we were told to come back 10 minutes later. We got back in the crowded check in line after 10 minutes, only to find out that our room was still not ready and it would be another 10 minutes. I'm not sure if the room was actually ready after the second 10 minutes because at that time we gave up and took a walk around outside. At present, the viewing platform from the American side is under construction and totally blocked which was a huge disappointment, but clearly not the hotel's fault. We finally checked in after 5 pm and had not further issues. If you are coming to see the Falls, this is a decent hotel for a decent price.

You can hear conversations in nearby rooms. The breakfast was good but the same every day.

First off They don't clean your room. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner is so hard to operate. The day shift receptionist is accomodating but it all ends there as the night shift receptionist does not even say "Hi" or even offer to help. Also the free breakfast is a cluster you know what. Prison food tasted better. I would not recommend this place

Quality of food is not good. Vegetarian options are very limited. On our checkout, and even previous day also; have requested for breakfast to parcel it as we had a flight from Buffalo at 8:50 but there is no service from Hotel side at 6am; very disappointed.

Easy stop before the border. Close to NY side falls and park. The breakfast that was included had lots of options.
