Nice room with balcony and a much better 3rd floor view of the city than I assumed in my mind before showing up. Valet on property as well as several city ran parking garages walking distance from hotel paid around $10 overnight parking there instead of valet. Overall we had a great stay.

The valet parking was $65 per night, but there are parking garages nearby. We parked at Soutwest Garage for $25 per days and they provided free Tesla charges (I saw EU chargers too). The hotel is in the city center, and Nordstrom is just cross the street (less than 5 mins walk). The room we had having a balcony. It was so nice to relax there at night.

The only thing that kept me from giving it that 5th star was the lack of a coffeemaker in the room - I'm one of those vampires that can't look out at the light until I've had my fix, so to have to mingle with humans while my eyes are still crossed and before my neurons are firing was a bit painful, but everything else made it worth it LOL. No joke, loved it. We were looking directly out at Directors Park from a super clean room with super comfortable bed tended to by a helpful and friendly staff. The gym was clean and the equipment was well-maintained and the location was perfect and very convenient to everything, which was mostly walkable from the hotel. We only spent one night, but we LOVED our stay and have vowed to return here next time we're in Portland (but I will be packing instant coffees...).

Easy to get via MAX train from the airport. Conveniently located near shopping, excellent restaurants and 5 minute walk to the streetcar stop that can get you around the city. Had drinks and late dinner (open till 11:00) at Swine Whiskey Bar adjacent to the lobby. Food was good, service was excellent.

The parking was $60 a night which is extreme. We were able to find parking two doors down for $25 a night. Not perfect but a big savings. Location is great however, it is in downtown which has a lot of homeless people. No one bothered us but still a consideration

This is a great hotel. Centrally located. Service from everyone I came across were terrific. Valet was convenient. The Swine Bar's service, food, drinks was so good, and convenient it was hard to venture out as much as I typically would. Room was spacious and comfortable. Excellent value.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Near Director and Pioneer squares where a lot of activity takes place. Near metro train, too. We used a parking garage just up the street to avoid the expensive hotel parking fee. I would highly recommend because of its location and atmosphere.

The property is nice and in a great location. Our room had many misses in terms of cleanliness and that's really the only thing we care about. Clogged drain, pee on the toilet seat, dirty undies under the sink, no shower gel.

My overall experience with this hotel was mixed. The hotel staff were great, and I really enjoyed the area and the price of the hotel. All of those would be 5 stars. Unfortunately, the room was NOT cleaned well. The carpet felt absolutely gross and it is in desperate need of deep cleaning. The soaking tub was filthy as well. I value cleanliness more than anything, and therefore, I would not stay again.

The location of the hotel is fantastic—prime spot with excellent walkability to local attractions and amenities. However, my experience was far from satisfactory. I found three bed bugs in my initial room, and while the staff promptly changed it, I also noticed random hairs in the tub and bathroom of both rooms. This was extremely disappointing and not what I expected from a hotel of this standard. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. I hope the hotel takes serious measures to address these cleanliness issues.

What I enjoyed about the Paramount was the kind staff. They were extremely helpful and welcoming to their guests. They also provided a dining credit which came in handy. Unfortunately, the room that I stayed in highlighted just how thin the hotel walls are. The hotel was located within close walking distance to several locations so I anticipated some noise outside, but I did not anticipate the level of noise coming from other guest's rooms. Overall the hotel could do with an upgrade. The room lights were pretty dim and although the phone indicates a number for room service, its not actually practiced within the hotel which became a minor inconvenience. I'd recommend this hotel to someone who is really looking to explore the city and plans on spending minimal time in their hotel rooms.

Walking distance to downtown farmers market on Wednesday. Valet parking is too expensive and oddly enough their 24 hr started from 3 pm. But there’s an overnight structure immediately next door for $25/night. AC was too loud interfering with sleep. The hotel restaurant was good, and hotel offered $10 day credit.

They checked us in early which was great. Then it went downhill. Room was dirty. Had empty liquor bottles on floor. Had not been vacuumed and was overall tired. Looked like a bad Marriott from the 90”s, disguised as I “boutique” hotel in Portland. Lobby was best part.

The Paramount Hotel is quite exceptional. Staff are all helpful and friendly; location is ideal for those wanting a downtown Portland experience; and the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. My ONLY disappointment was that they removed the coffee makers from the rooms and make you go down to the lobby if you want a morning cup of joe.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying on the west side because we were on the east side and it was very noisy. Rooms clean and the chairs are very comfortable.

Overall experience was good other than a miscommunication with the hotel staff , my flight landed late and i asked weeks prior to check-in about checking in at that time and whovever i spoke to said it was fine at the time. When i was on my connecting flight i called to make sure and they said i couldn't checkin id have to pay for another night. Long story short i was given misinformation and it caused an inconvenience hopefully that does not happen with anyone else. The hotel room was nice , bed was amazing. Shower floor a little dirty , coffee maker dirty and the balcony had build up of leaves in the corners. Hot water and tub was nice , restaurant in the hotel was very good and the staff were awesome overall 8/10

I want to take a moment to recognize the front desk staff. The agents I interacted with throughout my stay were kind and incredibly helpful. Agents were wonderful in helping me navigate public transportation to my desired destinations and I appreciated the additional food and entertainment recommendations that were given to me when my plans changed last minute. As for the hotel itself, it is located in a great area and it was very easy getting around on public transportation as well as walking. There are so many great places to eat, drink, and explore within walking distance of the hotel. This includes that two restaurant in the hotel which I made sure not to skip over! Further, I appreciated the overall cleanliness of my room and the property itself. I can confidently say I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again in the future.

The front desk representative did not have a very supportive or pleasant attitude — a bit rude, honestly. I also found a few hairs (around 3 or 4) around the edge of the bathtub, which was quite disappointing. That said, the room itself looked good and was comfortable.

The Paramount Hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon was a great stay. As a solo traveler - it's often hit or miss with safety. The hotel is downtown - this means there will be miscellaneous traffic; I.e. homeless, people with mental health issues, and drug use. However, this was not overwhelming. No one approached or bothered me. I felt safe. If you are at all uncomfortable with this type of downtown life - you may reconsider. That said - the hotel is very nice. Clean, the staff very helpful and friendly. This is very convenient to restaurants, METRO and very walkable. There are 2 restaurants (with bar) in the hotel. I had a complimentary food ticket and the brussel sprouts were delicious. The rooms are clean and quiet (there was a little discomfort with the bathroom - because you can still see where the bath mat was). But OVERALL this was a GREAT hotel stay! Enjoy. peace.

This is our favorite hotel when we travel to Portland. It is clean and beautiful and it's right in the middle of downtown. There is a Nordstrom less than a block away and there is a very nice outdoor space with outdoor games and cultural activities just across the street. There are some wonderful restaurants within a few blocks, and the Farmers Market is just a couple of blocks away. We highly recommend The Paramount Hotel in downtown Portland.

Really beautiful hotel and friendly staff, they were very accommodating when we had issues with the payment. The area outside the hotel isn’t the nicest, there were a lot of people outside shouting but the doorman at the hotel made us feel a lot safer with his presence.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Staff was professional and courteous. Beds were very comfortable. The attached whiskey bar had a good menu and was quite good. My only small complaint was I wish the water bar was more available. We would definitely go back.

My husband and I stayed at the Paramount Hotel on July 10 and 11, and from check-in to check-out, everything was absolutely wonderful. The hotel was clean and welcoming, the staff was friendly, and valet service was quick and convenient. We enjoyed drinks and appetizers at Swine both nights—everything we tried was delicious, and the service was excellent. Each morning, we had breakfast at Taylor Street Tavern, and once again, the food was fantastic. We highly recommend the Paramount Hotel and will definitely be staying there again!

I like the Paramount due to location and walkability. Rooms are nice. Quiet. However, the last time we stayed we ate in the restaurant. The food was good, but the service was soooo slow. We tried again this time thinking we just had an inexperienced service. Nope. This one was worse. We watched her clear plates, clean glasses, check on other tables multiple times, but never even glance our way. Finally after 20 minutes we walked out. THEN she looked up to graciously wave goodbye. Was she used to it?

The room was outdated. I arrived an hour before check in & they wanted to charge a fee to check in early. The hotel restaurant closes early. There must be nicer hotels in the area than this. Looked like a Best Western.
