I love coming to Hotel Rose, Staypineapple. The check in is easy, the price is amazing, the place is spotless and luxurious bedding and a small restaurant on site. I was disappointed to find out after arrival that the restaurant was not open on Mondays and Tuesdays -- but the areas is safe and walkable so we went out and left the car at the hotel. There are wonderful places to eat nearby and museums etc. The bedding is to die for!! I always get waterfront view although the trees have grown to block the river, it is my preference --- AND they are pet friendly. Water dishes on the ground in the lobby, they are welcome... not just accepted. Great hotel!!

Everything was wonderful about this place and its employees up until my window was broken out of my car in their parking lot. They refunded my room which was amazing of them but doesn't replace my $300 window or my saftey. Be careful in that park area folks

Beds were only doubles. Car was broken into in the hotels parking garage. They did comp out stay which we appreciated but that does not cover the costs of the items that got stollen.

Nice enough hotel in a easy to access location. My main beef is they charged $25/day for parking although this wasn’t stated on the hotel description. Additionally, all bedding is down, so my allergies were in overdrive. They have a restaurant but it was closed on the Tuesday evening we tried to eat there.

Great property. Okay room. Okay service. Parking is $25 a night and of you pay for parking upon check in, it doesnt guarantee a spot. Parking was oversold by at least 10 spots that i heard about while in the lobby, waiting to see what to do about parking.

This was my 3rd time staying at the Portland Staypineapple. They have ample parking for less than other hotels in the area. Just don't park right behind the laundry room because you're car will be covered in lint. They give you a free refillable water bottle, and they have a filtered water dispenser in the lobby with cold, sparkling, and hot water options. They also have free pineapple shaped sugar cookies in the afternoons. The rooms are not carpeted, they have luxury vinyl flooring which feels so much cleaner. The room and bathroom seem a bit more spacious than other hotels I stayed at in Portland. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. The cons are that the mini fridges in the rooms are very small. The water pressure in the shower isn't too great. But they remedied that for me by changing the shower head. The rooms don't have microwaves, but they have some you can borrow if they aren't already taken. The gym is extremely small. It has 1 treadmill, 2 ellipticals, 1 weight bench and a small assortment of dumbbells; either very heavy or very light, but none in between. I extended my stay in Portland and booked a different hotel. I'm writing this from the other hotel now and am really regretting that I didn't just extend my stay at the Staypineapple. I just booked my next trip to stay here again in 2 weeks.

This place is goofy. Once you leave the elevator on your room’s floor you’ll find that you are staying in any other nasty inn. Our room was filthy and clearly had not been cleaned in a significant amount of time. Go ahead, check the baseboards. They have a parking lot that they will charge you for even if there is no space available — and I received a mystery fee of over $150 after checking out, with no information on why. These are major issues, but even if you have zero standards you’ll be puzzled as to why your room is lacking standard amenities like a microwave or shower door.

The only complaint that I had about this hotel would be cleanliness. Found a dirty sock that was not ours under one of the beds. Also there was a dead cockroach at the hotel restaurant. Other than that, I’d say this hotel is okay. It was good for the fact they allow dogs and it was right across from the concert I was attending.

The Hotel look so much better in pictures. Property not kept up and looked like a fixed up old Motel. The outside was dirty , homeless across the street. We had to move rooms because our room was basically falling apart , smelly and dirty. The balcony was nothing great , loud outside and the chairs were dirty . The lamp once moved had dust and dirt fall out of it and wouldn't stand stand up straight . The cabinet with thr fridge was wfling apart . The hallway smelled like smoke and had so much air freshener to cover up the odor. We were moved from a double to a single without being told . the view was better but the windows were covered in dust . The lamp shade had splatters on it . The elevator had a card reader but didn't matter , not very safe. We asked for our parking fees to be waived but she only took off one night out of two . No amenities here except free water bottle . There were way better hotels at the price point . This is a glorified motel .

Pillows had horrible smell, shower floor looked like health hazard, room door continued to jam, no listing of TV shows- had to play wheres waldo, no Netflix, carpets in hallways stained, parking ceiling so low that when i opened back of my car trunk it chipped paint.

The beds were super comfy, I loved the fluffy towels too. The staff were so friendly and had great recommendations. A few things I was not so excited about; no carpet. I guess because of the pet friendly part, I should have looked closer at the pictures. Not sure what was going on with house keeping. They were in the hall ways but never came to our room. We had to track someone down and request towels or toilet paper. There is no fan in the bathroom?

Love the location. The lobby and restaurant are great. The room was ok. It had a mildew smell. The bathroom was my main issue. The hair of the previous occupant was still lingering around on the tiles and on the shower wall. Otherwise it was clean and the staff are the best.

Have stayed here twice. It’s not as nice as other Staypineapple brands. But ok for price point. This time our room was NOT as clean as I’d expect. Coffee stains on wall and an empty dog biscuit bag found on shelf in closet made me feel like room was not properly cleaned and it felt a little dirty. Restaurant was permanently closed, but they let us use the space to eat food we picked up. Staff was not as friendly as other Staypinapple hotels. It’s a dog friendly hotel, which is fine, but when your not traveling with a dog and know the guests prior had pets in the room and it wasn’t cleaned thouroughly, it felt as if my room really wasn’t very clean.

AC was not working properly. Carpets looked like they haven't been vacuumed in a month. Toilet moved when you sat on it. The more expensive room with a view over the river was very noisy because of the heavy traffic on tjat side and you could smell car fumes inside the room.

My biggest complaint was about the noise. I was in Room 501. There is no window soundproofing and I was facing the river. Trains kept passing through at all hours. Had I not brought ear plugs, there was no way I would have been able to sleep at all. One of the windows (the right) did not open. Bed was comfortable. I appreciated the style and interior decoration of the room. I was one person so it wasn't too small. Clean. Thank you for the free water bottle. Charging amenities available. TV worked though not many channels offered. I didn't feel unsafe walking around the property at night. The outside noise was the biggest complaint.

This hotel is in a great location. It's close to many things and well positioned for transportation options. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We were able to check in early with no issues. It's an older building and the climate control is an issue. They can only have the heat or the AC on and there is no individual room control. This made how a very stuffy and uncomfortable stay for us. At checkout, they mentioned they had fans available but we were not offered one before then

The property seems to be an older building that was updated somewhat. I’ve stayed at other Pineapple hotels that were definitely a bit more updated. This was an ok place to rest for one night to catch our plane. Staff is super friendly and helpful!!

I’ve been staying in a lot of recently renovated old hotels. This was the worst. Staff is awesome though. Just too many signs off age and no AC, no fan, no way to move air including bathroom

Everyone we encountered at Hotel Rose was incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Love the philanthropic mission! The robe and bed were super comfy and I really loved the reusable water bottle and had my fair share of sparkling water! Location was awesome, close to the Saturday Market and Tri Met stops for anywhere you want to go! We'll definitely come back! We appreciated the welcome drink! Saraya in the bar/restaurant was very friendly and we enjoyed visiting with her - the food was good, too!

We have stayed at Hotel Rose and numerous occasions. We love the comfy beds, clean rooms, and the location. The check in process was a little odd this time around. We arrived about 30 minutes before check in, and just planned to pay for our parking and come back when it was time to check in. The front desk offered to call me when our room was ready. I didn’t get a call, which is fine but when we arrived at 5:00pm, after check in she told me our room still wasn’t ready. She found a different room for us so we could check in, which I appreciated. We were in our room maybe 10 minutes and in walks an employee without knocking or anything, he looked pretty confused about us being in the room but was very apologetic. It just felt all a little off checking in this time around with all that happened. But rooms were clean and comfy. FYI. The VIP gift for my Expedia status is the same thing they offer all their guest.

Best hotel of our week-long Oregon trip, by a lot. We originally booked with the intent to bring our dog, and they asked her name, which was sweet. Unfortunately we lost her before the trip. I let them know, and they replied with condolences, which they didn’t have to do. In addition, they left a handwritten card in the room in sympathy. That’s well above and beyond expectations. In addition, the room was very comfortable, very clean, and very well equipped. The device-to-TV streaming mechanism was not working, but that was the only (extremely minor) thing that wasn’t perfect. The parking was a little sketchy, but it’s Portland. The space I pulled into had someone’s sandals, a bowl, and broken automotive glass. Didn’t like that, but someone cleaned most of it up the next day. They have four EV charging stations, which is great, and there was a cone with an old note that looked like they’d block one off for you if you asked. Price wasn’t amazing, on top of the parking fee, but mention that at the desk and see if they’ll help you out.

I paid extra for early check in and the hotel wasn’t able to accommodate, which was fine, they took the charge off. And we were able to park and wonder the town. However when we came back at 4 for check in our room and several others were still not ready. We had a couple drinks in their restaurant and tried again at 4:50 and our room still wasn’t ready. At that point I said that answer was not going to work. We had an event planned that night and needed to get ready and then they were able to switch us to a room that was ready. The rest of our stay was fine. Staff was nice, their restaurant was a little expensive compared to areas to eat around the hotel but it was convenient and delicious. Room was nice.

Such a cute hotel! We had a great stay. Sadly missed out on the cookies by minutes (3:30-6:30pm) but the complimentary beer/wine, the soft bedding and towels, free water bottles/easy refills and more made this a unique stay that stands out compared the to other hotels. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and the bed was one of the best on our trip down the west coast. I like some of the extras provided by Pineapple hotels. Bikes were provided for free to explore the city.

The AC didn't work the first day. The restaurant was not open the 1st day, which was not published. We got two glasses of wine from the bar, and they smelled like nail polish remover. Told the bartender, and nothing was done about it. In room 422 they kept the room open for staff to party in it. We were next to the room. We called down about the noise, but the front desk refused to listen to our concerns and address the issue. This was totally inappropriate!! I would avoid this place.

I was a bit disheartened to find out I was charged a daily “amenities fee” that was not divulged to me when I checked in and only made aware of after a deep dive into my original reservation upon being charged in excess after checking out. The area is also infested with homeless and drug addicts. Over all I do recommend this hotel but be aware of hidden charges that will out this property way more expensive than others nearby.

I like the bright yellow color, it added sharp happiness to an otherwise dull old hotel. Property was clean but could use some upgrade. My king size bed was sunken in the middle so we had to avoid sleeping in the middle. This area of the city was shady. I didn’t know because it was our first time in Portland but it was convenient to walking to downtown and transportation around the city.

Perfect location for our Portland stay. Walking distance to so many restaurants and attractions. Hotel is clean and vibrant. Front desk staff are wonderful. Pros: the location was great and right across the street from the scenic river, the amenities are good, reusable water bottles are provided with coffee in the room, the bedding is always super comfortable, staff is always really friendly. Cons - the rooms were just ok, nothing jazzy at all, there wasn't coffee in the lobby in the am :( the restaurant had very limited hours.

Nice enough hotel in a easy to access location. My main beef is they charged $25/day for parking although this wasn’t stated on the hotel description. Additionally, all bedding is down, so my allergies were in overdrive. They have a restaurant but it was closed on the Tuesday evening we tried to eat there.

The bedding was very comfortable and cozy. The front desk guest services were friendly. We had to call down to make a few requests and they took care of a couple issues. We’ve stayed here numerous times. Staff is always super friendly and makes sure we’re happy. Tina the bartender is super nice at their cute restaurant. Afternoon snack free cookies are so good. And within a few blocks of tons of restaurants and shopping. For downtown Portland this is our go-to.
