One of the best hotels I have stayed at over the last few years. Main room and bathroom were well modelled with good space and decent balcony. Pool and gym were clean, attractive and lightly used. Restaurant was stand-out quality and I ate there on both evenings. Shuttle was ON TIME, EVERY TIME. Definitely will return and consider staying here and getting train down to the center daily.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. The shuttle service to and from the airport was very convenient and comfortable. We also really enjoyed the pool and sauna. Highly recommended!

This hotel has been renovated and looks amazing. The new rooms are well designed and roomy, beds are comfortable. Restaurant and bar are excellent! My issue with this hotel is a big issue for travelers. Irons are not available to any rooms. Only option is to go to an ironing room with 2 irons on one side of the hotel, meaning if you are on the opposite side, you need to carry your clothes through the hotel, past the restaurant and bar. I asked why irons are not provided upon request, I was told that is because the hotel is too big. Then why only 2 irons in a small room off the pool and fitness center? Really bad hotel for business travelers. Also, a new fitness center was built but they filled it with really old equipment from their old fitness center. This hotel could do better.

Unser Aufenthalt war super. Das Restaurant ist hervorragend, tolle Bedienung,sehr zu empfehlen. Die Bar Abends war auch sehr angenehm und die Coctails waren lecker. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, große Auswahl an allem, tolle Auswahl an frischen Obst wie auch Aufschnitt und frisch gebackenen Brötchen. Die Zimmer waren sehr groß und toll. Nur das Kissen war für uns sehr unbequem. Es war auch alles sauber. Wellnessbereich ist für so ein großes Hotel zu klein. An manchen Uhrzeiten war im Pool recht wenig Platz. Sehr enttäuschend war leider,dass keine von den 3 Saunen funktioniert hat, nur die Dampfsauna hat funktioniert. Das war enttäuschend. Wellnessbereich ist in anderen Van der Valk Hotel besser. Mit dem Auto konnten wir unsere Ziele super erreichen und war von dem Hotel alles ziemlich nah. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel ,wenn man kein großen Wert auf Wellness legt. Denn so ist das Hotel Top.

Great hotel with pool and gym. Service is great and the Restaurant was perfect! You have to pay for coins to use the one washer and dryer near the pool , luckily I brought my own soap. Vending machine has bathingsuits and goggles for sale in the ironing room. The lobby has many available drinks and snacks. Checkout was at 12 so no rush leaving in the morning. The breakfast is superior!

The hotel is like brand new both in the public areas and the rooms. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Airport shuttle every 30 minutes. Excellent food in the restaurant. We plan on returning to this hotel on our next visit to Amsterdam.

Overall an excellent hotel and stay. Noticed some dust in a corner of the carpet (tricky place to clean, best to avoid corners in the design). There was also a white stain on the black chair. Breakfast is brilliant. Spa and pool really great.

The room was not properly cleaned. There was a large grease stain on one of the nightstands, a few long black hairs on the inside of the duvet and lots of (what seemed to be) pet hair on one side of one of the pillows. Both pillows are also extremely uncomfortable. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this hotel.

The stay ay the hotel was very good. The airport suttle was on time and comfortable. The check-in process was smooth, friendly and efficient. The room was spacious. My only feedback is that the shower area could be cleaner and the bed mattress was worn, but otherwise, no complaints!

Weird room design. The toilet and the shower doesn't lock. And the shower leaks water outside, if you are not careful. The staff is friendly and the facility is really nice. Nice pool and Sauna.

A lovely room, quite large compared to most European hotels, with thoughtful placement of a raised shelf wide enough to fully open out two carryons. Plus, a luxurious shower room AND a full-sized tub. The hotel shuttle is convenient for returning to Schipol airport to catch trains to downtown Amsterdam. Highly recommend!

Very lovely hotel stay. Fantastic breakfast buffet, best I've had in Europe and good value for money. Lots of different food options available. The free shuttles to and from the hotel were a bonus and made travelling from the airport into the city centre a breeze. We also took advantage of the night shuttle which is an additional cost for one night when we were returning very late to the hotel. The hotel amenities were great and was lovely to have the option of utilising the pool for a morning swim and making use of the sauna and steam room. Some negatives were the very rude breakfast staff. Turned my friend away from breakfast suggesting she hadnt paid even though I had come down earlier to pay for both of us and explicitly informed her when I entered. I had Genius benefits which I wasn't initially informed about at check in but we did manage to claim these later on. Overall pleasant stay.

Stayed here during the KLM cancellation snowstorm shutdown in January 2025. Great staff, great rooms and beds, and the bar and restaurant were solid as well. If I had to stay close to airport again, I’d try to stay here.

Great free shuttle & beautiful modern room. BUT getting off the bus there's no one line. A couple of us tried to start a line, but then others coming in after us would just walk up to staff who were NOT looking at the line that had started and would simply start registering whomever came up and got their attention. Since the woman at the far end on the right looked down the entire time, I did not approach her because generally at other hotels, staff will look up to the line and motion for the next customer to come up. Instead it was random, staff would help whomever walked in from the sides. It was frustrating! When I moved back into the line (because the next available staff member helped someone who'd just come in from the side) someone behind me complained that I was cutting the line. She'd just come in and I tried to explain that others were cutting in from the side, so that I was re-entering the line, but she continued complaining. When someone finally helped me, I asked why staff doesn't have some type of a line system. She responded that they tried it once but it didn't work. I replied, this random ad-hoc DEFINITELY DOESN'T WORK. We're coming off a long flight and travel day and this is the last thing we want to deal with.

Terrible staff, extremely defensive and rude, unhelpful , arrogance from all team. I ask for guidance help to get the elevator and they disn’t want to. After I was upset the help was minimum but they all became more aggressive and didn’t care of my concerns. A 4.5 stars hotel with no litle bottle of water, old nespresso machine with no capsules and no water, small pillows. Shampoo dispensers and body wash 95% empty. No conditioner. Nice bathroom but toilet dirty. Management aware of my concerns, didn’t care. A 700 rooms hotel with a huge front desk but no one welcomes and wanted to help. Other guest helped me to find the room and read the number properly. Looks like supermarket for college students building. A “manager” proud to be there fir 50 years, overreact and disrespect me also called security and advice me that he will sue me if I make the comments.

Very nice hotel and nice staff however it appeared to us that the hotel is short staffed both at the front desk where check was exceptionally slow, and in the bar where there was only 1 staff serving about 40 guests.

The hotel is updated and very comfortable. My only significant complaint was the provision for getting to the airport. For travelers needing to get to Schiphol by 8 am we had to pile in an over-crowded bus with people on top of one another - the entire aisle stuffed with people - passengers even standing on the entry steps. I got the feeling that this hotel isn't really careful enough about providing that extremely important service - convenience in getting to the airport. We all felt like cattle last Thursday morning. I've stayed at this hotel many times over the years before flying home. It's happened before. Something tells me I'll be making another choice, like CitizenM at the airport next time, even if it is a few Euro's more.

First rate right from the start. The complimentary airport shuttle was very easy and convenient to and from the Hotel Schipol. Check in at the hotel was friendly and quick. It is a big complex, like a resort with a resort feel. There is a fitness centre and good sized swimming pool. Also available for rental are e-bikes, which we took advantage of to spend a day cycling around Westeinderplassen (West End Lakes) by Aalsmeer and through the neighbouring countryside. A very nice ride on the e-bikes. The room was clean and modern, although the bathroom could have been more inviting had it been in its own closed off area, rather than just a frosted glass door closing off the rather cramped space it occupied by the side of the room. Other than that, the room was very nice. The staff at the front desk, and in the restaurant and breakfast area were very helpful and friendly. The meals…what to say. They were very, VERY good. The quality, and quantity, of the food in the evening dining area was excellent. The serving staff was exceptional, answering questions and providing helpful menu suggestions. The breakfast buffet was very special. So many choices and so tasty. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an array of fine food at a breakfast buffet. Very good. Overall the choice to stay at the Hotel Schipol was an excellent decision.

The hotel is very clean, modern and spacious. The private balconies are an additional bonus. The swimming pool and Spa area were well kept and a nice addition to an airport hotel. My only comment would be the frequency of the shuttle bus. This leaves roughly every 40 minutes, I have stayed here a few times now and the bus has always been completely full with people having to stand in the aisle. It would be great if there could be buses more frequently.

Really liked this hotel. Upon checking in, without asking myself, I was upgraded to a nicer room for free. The room was big enough for 1 or 2 people max. It was very modern and clean. The staff was friendly and professional as well. Had dinner and breakfast at the hotel even though they were not included with my 1 night stay. Dinner was a la carte pricing and breakfast was about 21 Euros and was self serve buffet style. The food was excellent for both meals. The only downside to this hotel is that it is not close to a train or bus station. I was advised by the front desk that Uber is the best way to get around if you didn't have a car, which i didn't since I was only staying 1 night here. But other than being out of the way from the city center in Amsterdam and far from public transportation, I would highly recommend a stay here. Just make sure to either rent a car or be willing to rent an Uber to get around. They do offer a free shuttle bus to and from Schiphol Airport which was only about a 10 minute ride to the hotel. And the bus looked like a luxury bus as well with the way it was designed. Overall, a great experience.

Tout était génial! La chambre est spacieuse, lit très confortable. Salle de bain très fonctionnelle. La nourriture pour le déjeuner est varié . C’est un banquet ! Je recommande cet hôtel sans aucune hésitation . Nous y sommes rester du 13 au 16 juin. . Même le stationnement est gratuit. Le restaurant du soir est magnifiquement décoré. Les plats sont tres bons .

This is my second stay at the hotel. The room is spacious with a good layout. The temperature was perfect , not too hot , not cold. All the staff are so friendly. Jefferson at check in is wonderful. The breakfast has a great selection of tea , breads, pastries, fruit, protein. However compared to my last stay here the breakfast has less stuff. There is lots of pork items & would be nice to see some turkey. The overall decor of the hotel is beautiful & with the Christmas trees and fireplace it’s very cosy.
