IMLAUER Hotel Nestroy Wien

I booked this hotel for four nights during our stay in Vienna because it offered everything we were looking for: spacious family accommodation, a gym, sauna and an excellent location. As we were driving, we first had to check in and then move the car to a nearby parking area, which was only a short distance away and cost around €25 per night. However, my first impression of the service was disappointing. I had to unload all our luggage, load it onto a trolley and then park the car. By the time I returned, my wife had checked us in, but nobody at reception offered to help with the luggage. I appreciate the hotel may not have a porter, but I would have expected someone to at least offer assistance. Small gestures like this can make a big difference to a guest’s first impression. Thankfully, everything else was generally very good. The accommodation was spacious and worked well for our family. My wife and I used the downstairs bedroom, while the children stayed upstairs on the sofa bed. There was also a separate toilet and a useful workspace upstairs. The room and facilities were perfectly adequate, and I liked the hotel’s efforts to reduce waste. The gym was very small with limited equipment, so I wouldn’t describe it as a full gym, but it was sufficient for a basic workout. I didn’t use the sauna, so can’t comment on that. Overall, a good stay. My main feedback is that reception staff should show more initiative in helping arriving guests.

We had another pleasant stay at this hotel and would certainly stay again.

Unfortunately our room smelled liked someone smoked in it, the staff was friendly and placed a machine to reduce the smell, however without being fully successful. They offered a change of room for the day after (as it was fully booked the current night). However we passed the offer as it was a bit cumbersome as we had to check out the morning after (early) as we had plans in the city and could not check in directly to our new room. We also found someone else’s underwear in our room when we checked out in one of the top shelf’s in the closet…

good room and location, great and clean, friendly people

Convenient and quiet location about 15-minute walk from Innere Stadt. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean enough but we found some spider web inside. Perhaps it was a 4-person room type that not toomany customers have stayed at. Our safety deposit did not work but the staff came to fix for us the next day. Overall, I would go back to stay again because of the spaciousness of our room and the convenient and quiet location
