They lied. Parking was not at hotel.

Big and nice room. Quiet and walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and bars. Easy parking in the building. Nice and friendly staff!

Hotel was nice and easy to walk to major sites and jump on the metro. Beds were a bit hard and pillows could use a refresh. Parking was limited onsite - but there is a garage across the street which is convenient.

Great hotel. Staff went out of their way for us. Super helpful. Clean and quiet. Close to everything in Vienna. Parking right at the hotel for our rental car. Highly recommend

The elevator was glitchy, but otherwise a good stay. Clean, convenient for the museum quarter and close to the subway.

Staff is super friendly and are really helpful! they have a small bar which is happy to serve you beer on tap and wine even late night. Breakfast was great and had a big spread.

The hotel is located in good location - walking to opera, market and other main location. We got simple room for 4 people where the air conditioning was only in the living room. The kitchen is really empty - no microwave, no oven, no cookwares. The entrance to the garage is very narrow. Very tasty candies in the reception.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was clean and inviting. The check-in process could have been better. I was not told whether they provided room service, food or drink and once I had spotted the bar in reception, I went over on three separate occasions to see if I could get a drink and there was no one servicing the bar. But all in all, my stay was lovely and the hotel provides good value.

Excellent location. It was very close to metro and quiet. The front staff was friendly. The room was clean but noticed that housekeeping wouldn’t refresh the glasses and there were stains. The room was nice and big and so was the bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable. They need to update the mattress and add more shelves in bathroom especially in shower area. Also there was no phone in room to make local calls. I hope management looks at adding these amenities because this will take the hotel up to another level.

This hotel is in an excellent location! It's walkable to many parks, shops, restaurants, and museums. The rooms were large with beautiful hardwood floor. Our 2 issues: 1. ants. We had ants in our room. We did not notify housekeeping as we have young children and did not want them to spray/address the issue during our stay as we believed it would be troublesome to shift nap time or leave the room. 2. We had somewhere to be at 3 pm. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding about the time or so I thought. One staff member told me 2:45 pm was written down instead of 2:35 pm. However, at 2:50 pm, they told my husband nothing was written down so they would order us a new taxi. My husband hates being late, so this was disappointing to us.

Camere molto grandi e spaziose. Estremamente pulito. Letto confortevole. Molto riservato. Personale molto disponibile e pronto a soddisfare le richieste. Posizione centralissima. Appena fuori dal centro storico, che è possibile raggiungere a piedi in 5 minuti. Esperienza fantastica.

Weak WI-FI connection, toilet separation from the bathroom, bad water pressure in the shower, old smelly carpet, broken window in the toilet, phone land-line not functional and wasn’t fixed.

The location is perfect for walking all over town. My room was spotless, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Kamer was klein en basic maar zeker ok. Netheid van de kamer was minder. Bij aankomst stond er een fles water op de kamer die duidelijk al gebruikt was. Ook tijdens het verblijf werden gebruikte glazen duidelijk niet afgewassen of vervangen. De bar van het hotel was ook niet geopend, zodat het niet mogelijk was om 's avonds nog een nachtmutsje te drinken voor het slapen gaan. Ontbijt was zeer verzorgd en ruimschoots voldoende keuze.

I loved the Hotel Secession. It was very clean and spacious with beautiful hardwood floors with ample natural light. The hotel location is great, close enough to everything but not in the center of action. The front desk staff were very helpful and passionate about Vienna. There is a food court at the corner and Spar market up the street about a 3 minute walk, which were both great to have so close. I highly recommnet this hotel!

I had looked for hotels close to the Vienna city center and compared features. This place seemed to be a good option. The only thing I was hoping to find was where breakfast was included, but that wasn’t part of our package (though it was available on-site). The hotel is about a block from an entrance to the Karlzplatz subway station. That station is fairly large, and this entrance is at the end of a 300-meter underground walkway (that keeps you out of traffic and the weather). That stop is also just 2 away from the central subway station where you connect to the airport, btw. The hotel is also within a 15-minut walk of the Hofburg complex and less than that to major tram routes that can get you to other attractions. The hotel offers 3 room sizes, the largest which can accommodate 3 – 4 persons. I think it was called the apartment configuration. It was fairly spacious and had a small kitchenette (with a small burner set but no microwave). You had to ask if you wanted cookware. We appreciated the space, though, especially compared to some other places (I’m looking at you, Amsterdam). There was air conditioning, which was nice after a hot afternoon. The only minor negative we had with the room was that the walls were a bit thin. A couple of different sets of room neighbors were semi-audible when they came in. The noise level will depend on those in the adjacent rooms, though. There was not much, if any, street noise, though.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. One comment, I really didn’t understand the kitchen in the room. It doesn’t have any pans, plates or silverware. So how would someone use it?

After an initial mis-step in not having the correct room reserved (2 separate beds booked and only one bed available) the manager when available found an appropriate room which had 2 beds, was spacious clean and naturally lit, with a view of the neighborhood.

Clean, quiet, comfortable and well located. Room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Five minutes walk to the opera house. Two minutes to the Nachtsmarkt. Service was wonderful and friendly.

The room was huge, with an equally large spotless bathroom. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the location was ideal to explore the city. The Nightmarket is just round the corner a fab way to spend a few hours shopping and/or eating and drinking. Would definitely recommend!

apparently, I was placed in the adjoining “old building“ and I felt like one of the only people in that entire side of the hotel. I’m not sure anyone else was even on my floor. The view was not bad. The room was very sparse, no notable decor and I found it slightly depressing. If you’re going to the museums, it is in a good location. This is in the museum, quarter, district 6. I found the breakfast to be completely un appealing, it looked sad and I didn’t feel comfortable eating any of the food. Also, Weil breakfast ends at 10:30, they literally mean you have to leave that room by 10:30, you can’t even be finishing eating. Which leads me to the fact that in general, I didn’t care for the staff of the hotel. if you want an iron and ironing board, you’re expected to schlep it up to your room yourself. You are required to go to the front desk. Ask them to please give you an iron and ironing board and then drag it up to your room. I found the gentleman who appeared to be a manager to be condescending and passive aggressive. Also the woman who checked me in later in the afternoon on the day I arrived I found to be rude and was trying to rush me into releasing their free use of confidential identification information without telling me I had the right to decline, until I pushed back. She also had a very rude tone about the fact that I was “traveling all alone” Icannot recommend given depressing room + completely unappealing breakfast, + a couple of key staff members behavior

I might have come and gone from this hotel without ever realizing how amazing it is - had it not been for two emergencies that allowed the staff - particularly Barbara - to reveal herself as a super hero. The first was a bad slip in the room in the early am of Dec 26 that required intense first aid, and the second was a broken zipper on a huge suitcase the morning of a flight on Dec 26 when nothing in the city was open or would be open. Barbara, a former flight attendant, taped the bag closed and -wait for it - found an extra high end suitcase for our overflow stuff in the hotel storeroom some guest had left behind months before. In both instances, she was a calm voice I wish I had in my own head, but am sure not even 20 years of Viennese psychoanalysis would get me. You would have to pay quadruple the price to find comparable service at even a 5 star resort - if you even could (think: The White Lotus). This place is special - don’t overlook it.

Wonderful stay the the Hotel Secession. Room was very spacious for a family. Hardwood floors are a nice touch -- very clean. Shower was fabulous based on space, pressure, temperature. Staff did a pre-setup for the rollaway bed. Supplied the room with coffee, tea, water, and biscuits. It's very important that the windows were able to open wide this time of year to allow for air flow in the room. Lobby space was inviting and clean. Stored bags before check-in. Front desk staff offered great assistance with luggage, recommendations, city tips, and great service at the bar! All the staff was helpful, nice, and accommodating. Easter treats in the lobby was such a cute touch over the holiday weekend.

This was our second stay in this wonderful hotel located in the optimal location of the city for attending cultural events. The opera is a short, two block walk, Same with Museum Quarter and Karlsplatz, and the Musikverein is also within close walking distance. Only a 15 - 20 minute walk downtown to the St. Stephen’s area. But even better than the location is the fantastic breakfast. It’s an extra charge but make sure to book it with your reservation. From 0630 to 1030 there are unlimited gourmet items to start your day - fresh breads and pastries, exotic meats and cheeses (the truffle jam was my favorite) - yogurts cereals, fruits - it’s really outstanding and served in a beautiful little room with windows overlooking the Secession Museum right across the street. We will definitely stay here whenever we come to Vienna in the future!

Wonderful location close to all the man central attractions, and convenient to the Karlsplatz U - Bahn. The breakfast was wonderful! We had opera tickets and it was so convenient to walk to the Opera House (5 mins) for the performance.

Could not have found a better location for our first trip to Vienna. Right at the edge of the Opera District and one block off the Nauschtmarkt.

Fantastic location: just outside the inner ring, so not as expensive as staying in the inner ring, but easy to get to the transit stops, the Opera, the Kunst Museum, the Hofburg, etc. Surprisingly quiet, very clean, good breakfast, helpful staff... would definitely stay here again.

The location is perfect. Close to restaurants and major tour attractions. It is also close to tour trip meeting points.

As a first time visitor to Vienna, I selected Secession an der Oper because of its location. I wanted to be able to walk to most sites important to a visitor, but also wanted easy access to rapid transit options to reach locations a bit to far to walk. Being steps away from Naschmarket was perfect for me! I went there every morning to get my days started with coffee and a nasch! So many choices! Besides all of the above, the hotel was very clean and well-maintained. Staff were very courteous and helpful. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Nice little hotel conveniently located close to museums and the central city. Comfortable rooms with excellent showers. Decent breakfast included. Hallways could use sprucing up with fresh paint and new carpeting. The Saigon restaurant next door is excellent.

This is a good hotel for price and location as it generally within walking distance to many wonderful restaurants and attractions. The staff is also generally amazing, courteous and helpful, however there were unfortunately a few that also stood out in not the best of ways. The breakfast offered is a hard pass as it unfortunately just isn't worth it. There are plenty of amazing restaurants, cafes, and breakfast options all around the location that can be enjoyed that are worlds better for a fraction of the cost.

The hotel appears quite tired and in need of modernisation. The room, although of a good size lacked any character. The breakfast was poor in comparison with other hotels of similar standard. Staff were friendly and helpful. In my opinion this hotel should be classed as 3*.
