Center of town. Convenient. No parking. Rooms have good AC. Very small 2 person elevator or 1 person with luggage. Hotel has 24/7 front desk and they retain your room key anytime you leave.. very safe. 1 block from the FDR metro station.

We absolutely loved it here. everything was so charming even the little lift . the front desk staff were fabulous. a 1 min walk to the gardens and 2 min to the Champs Elysees. so many many eating options around and everything was excellent ,including prices. 5 min walk to the subway either Franklin or Champs. be aware that you have to leave your key with the front desk because it’s an actual key and for security purposes you have to leave it behind. also if you use the minibar, you get taxed for your entire stay- not worth the city taxes for a bottle of water or juice.do not use it!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very spacious and we loved the balcony. The only thing I wasn’t too keen on was that you had to give your room key to the staff every time you left the hotel.

Very nice stay at Mathis - staff was on it, nice at all times and accommodated our needs within seconds. Cleaning was through, yet quick and there were lovely Clarins products in the restroom. If you want to live central, in a nice authentic place, for a reasonable price, this is definitely a go to!

Pros: Great location, very central to most things. Close to metro. Good restaurants in the neighborhood. Staff was stellar! Cons: The floors could have been cleaner. Very dusyt under tables. There was also a weird smell coming up from the bathroom sink. Closing the drain plug resolved it though. We would stay there again.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Mathis. Our room was on the 4th floor with a Paris balcony. The room was a very good size. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the location was perfect for us. We walked everywhere during our stay. Felt very safe. Would definitely staff here again.

I booked this stay under the pretense that there was air conditioning as the listing outlined. When we arrived, it was clear it only had heat. We slept with the door open to get some cool air but it’s a bit loud on the street. Great location tho!

The front desk manager, was excellent. Very pleasant and helpful. All other staff we met were the same. The rooms are small however this is to be expected for a hotel such as this. The USB ports in the bedroom by the desk however did not work.

The location of this hotel is amazing. Just a few steps away from the major tourist streaks and the amount of really good restaurants nearby was astonishing. We actually never went further than a few hundred meters from the hotel for either breakfast or dinner and was very happy with the places we choose. The hotel lobby was small but the reception was always manned and very happy to help with any questions on transport, restaurant recommendations etc. The hotel room was also on the smaller side for being a junior suite but it did its job. It had the beds we needed and a nice bathroom that felt newly renovated although with a quite odd layout. Unfortunately it had a slight smell of cat pee but it felt like a minor thing. We got bottles of water and coffee for free in the hotel room and it was refilled when cleaning which was nice. Only negative thing was that the doors were super thin so if you slept in the room nearest the door you could easily wake up to people walking in the hallway outside. For the price we paid it was definitely really good value for the money with the location so close to the major sights (easily walkable to both the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower for instance). I have definitely stayed at both better and worse hotels but would for the same price definitely come back again in the future.

the location was very good , area we wanted to stay. close to metro and shops and cafes. room was smaller than expected, outdated, but staffs were very courteous and helpful. at the checking out, city tax which supposed to be $42.63 per expedia price detail but they charged $100. Not happy about the wrong information or they over charged us. We will stay ast another hotel next time.

Location of this property was perfect for the things we wanted to do - just off Champs-Elysèe - but enough streets in that it wasn't an all night street noise place. The staff was phenomenal! Helpful with directions and very friendly when we would come back to the room. Modern room with clean decor and very clean daily upkeep. A great place to launch your Paris exploration from!

Our stay at the Hôtel Mathis was everythig I hoped for my first time in Paris. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The neighborhood was full of perfect Parisian cafes, bars and restaurants, one block from the Champs-Élysées with all of the shopping anyone could ask for and one mile from both the Louvre and The Eiffel Tower. The small details within the hotel such as the tassled key, gorgeous terrace, towel warmer, slippers and Nespresso machine set it apart from other stays. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. I will stay again when I return!
