I usually stay in chain hotels because there aren’t surprises, I know what to expect. For our trip to Paris I read reviews and picked a modest priced hotel in a convenient location to several sites I wanted to visit in the 2 day visit. I have rarely been so pleasantly surprised! The hotel is charming, very clean, houses a restaurant with wonderful food, quaint sitting room, but the best quality about this hotel is the staff. Never, in all my many hotel stays have I been more impressed with the friendliness and hospitality extended by a hotel staff! Everyone, from the manager to the maid, went out of their way to help us feel at home and welcomed during our stay. The manager even ran out stopping our taxi to return something I had left. If you are ever in Paris, book this hotel, you won’t be sorry!

overall it was OK but not more than average- Service was good and staff were very nice. breakfast was small and very limited (found ourselves buying breakfast in nearby cafe), and the hot-tub in the room did not work. the hotel is very small and even the reception was behind a smal desk. did not feel like a 4 star hotel.. more like a 3 stars hotel or less

For a first time visit to Paris the hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean & beautifully decorated. Mattress, pillows, linens & towels plush & very comfortable. The room was large with ample storage. We enjoyed the nespresso machine and appreciated the in room safe. The hotel lobby with small bar & sitting area was beautiful & welcoming. The bathroom with jacuzzi tub & rainfall shower was enjoyed. Only drawback was the carpet needed a good cleaning because stains were visible on cream carpet. Slippers & bathrobes were a nice touch. We enjoyed our balcony view & felt like we received very great value through Expedia booking. Many nice cafes & boulangerie nearby. Very walkable & safe area even at night, close to all the attractions. Metro & busline very close by. The front desk staff & maid service were exceptional & attended to our every need with grace & professionalism.We would highly recommend Hotel Relais St. Jaques & and would stay here again.

Love love love this small boutique hotel in Paris! Stayed for a full week and was so sad to leave! The cutest quaint rooms, balcony/terrace options, amenities, and lovely and helpful staff. Really captured the charm and culture of such a romantic and historical city. Breakfast each morning was also a plus! Great area, away from the hustle and bustle so it’s quiet and an escape for relaxing but close enough that you can scooter and bike to everything!!!

Wonderfully located, great staff, breakfast was adequate. Cute boutique hotel, but the carpets are in need of replacing. And perhaps a fresh coat of paint. We booked a superior room fir the space and expected at least clean carpets.

I chose this hotel because of its high ratings and positive reviews, but my actual experience was very disappointing. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping service was good — these were among the few positives during my stay. It only worked briefly when I kept the door open, but as soon as the door was closed, the signal disappeared completely. This was a wonderful hotel in a quiet area. It was close to the metro and walking distance to several attractions. The street noise was minimal, and the room had an AC unit, if needed. The front desk staff were all very nice. The room was pleasant with plenty of storage space and a nice size bathroom. We did not pay for the breakfast; there are plenty of cafes nearby and we chose to go to those each morning. I woild definitely stay here again.

The room was a bit tired looking . It was disappointing to have a view of a wall outside & nothing else . It was also very small & not much storage for clothes. The bed was very comfy & it was quiet at night . The lady at breakfast who served us was really friendly . The hotel is in a good location . We loved the Korean restaurant , 3 mins walk away called Seoul Mamma & the cool cocktail bar a little further on , Solera .

Loved everything about this hotel, my only feedback is please if possible try to improve the WiFi connection as it was low connection in the top floor. But everything else was amazing!

The staff was fantastic and extremely helpful. The bathrooms were updated and very nice. However, the rooms were dated and needed refreshing. The balcony was fantastic. At first the neighborhood seemed far away from everything but we learned to like the quietness and restaurants that were within a block or so. It is true that this hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Luxembourg Gardens but the gardens are gigantic and it was a 10 minute walk to one of the ends of the gardens. I would highly recommend this hotel if a great staff is important and if a quiet safe neighborhood is important.

O hotel fica localizado em uma área calma, silenciosa, um pouco afastada da agitação dos turistas, e perto o suficiente para se deslocar a pé para as principais atrações da cidade. O apartamento era pequeno, mas bem servido de armários. O café-da-manhã era básico, para não dizer limitado. O ponto fraco do hotel é o sinal wi-fi, que não atinge o 6⁰ andar, onde ficamos. I usually stay in chain hotels because there aren’t surprises, I know what to expect. For our trip to Paris I read reviews and picked a modest priced hotel in a convenient location to several sites I wanted to visit in the 2 day visit. I have rarely been so pleasantly surprised! The hotel is charming, very clean, houses a restaurant with wonderful food, quaint sitting room, but the best quality about this hotel is the staff. Never, in all my many hotel stays have I been more impressed with the friendliness and hospitality extended by a hotel staff! Everyone, from the manager to the maid, went out of their way to help us feel at home and welcomed during our stay. The manager even ran out stopping our taxi to return something I had left. If you are ever in Paris, book this hotel, you won’t be sorry!

The room was a bit small by world standards but perhaps normal by Parisian standards. All was comfortable. I am a gold member and I expected better service. For example, my wife was kept waiting several hours at checkin even though a room was available. I was not given a substantial late check out even though there was no urgent need for my room. For these services the hotel wanted extra money. So, it doesn't get a good review from me.

This was a wonderful hotel in a quiet area. It was close to the metro and walking distance to several attractions. The street noise was minimal, and the room had an AC unit, if needed. The front desk staff were all very nice. The room was pleasant with plenty of storage space and a nice size bathroom. We did not pay for the breakfast; there are plenty of cafes nearby and we chose to go to those each morning. I woild definitely stay here again.

Un excellent accueil et un personnel à l'écoute et au petits soins. Tout le monde est souriant et adorable. Spécialement la dame le matin qui s'occupe de la salle du petit déjeuner. Une énergie, une gentillesse, une bonne humeur contagieuse. Ça fait du bien de la jonne humeur au petit déjeuner.

I think because we asked for a bathroom with a bath, the room may have been slightly bigger than some others. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel as thought the selection seemed a bit limited for the EUR17 pp. There are plenty of other breakfast options nearby. Easy few minutes walk to the nearest RER station at Luxembourg Gardens. Nice area of the city close to the university.

I was in a deluxe room that was quite large and had a lovely view. The room was clean. The bathtub was quite slippery and tall. Anyone with even a slight mobility issue would not be able to get in and out of the bath safely. The condition of the room was not great. There were a few holes in the wall that need to be addressed. My major issue was that I chose this hotel specifically because it had a mini bar. however, the mini bar never got even close to being even moderately cold. I spoke to three different staff people with no resolution. Upon checking out they basically just said c’est la vie.
