The rooms in the Grand Hotel Gobelins are typical size for old school Paris - that is, very small with minimal table/desk space for luggage/personal items. The rooms are clean and outfitted with coffee/tea service, and are generally well lit and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The bathrooms was very bright and clean, though I did need to have a towel replaced that had a small stain. The front desk staff and other hotel staff are friendly and very accommodating. Overall, it's a decent hotel if you just need a room to spend overnight time in. The Gobelins Metro stop (Line 7) is easily accessed around the corner; however, the next nearest stops are a bit of a walk, including Campo-Formio which does not have a well-lit path. Easy enough to utilize Uber instead.

Cute hotel, well located in the lovely 13th arrondissement, with everything you need close by and buses and metro to take you all over the city. Elegant simple decor. My room was an odd mix of olde-world, lovely sculpted cast iron radiator, but also AC and a modern bathroom. The room was compact and tight on places to put clothes. I was alone. With two guests the room may have felt a bit crowded. Very comfortable big bed. Mini-fridge a welcome touch. The people who run it were friendly and helpful.

Friendly & professional staff. Easy check in & out. Room was spotlessly clean & had everything needed including a small fridge with a complimentary bottle of water. Can't fault the place. Comfortable bed etc. It was perfect for my one night stay.

The staff was outstanding, seeing to my needs in the friendliest manner—from supplying converters to arranging for a taxi to CDG. My only complaint was the darkness at the 2nd floor after dark. Barely could find our room.

The rooms are a little on the small side, but we booked two rooms for the 4 of us and the hotel was very accommodating to have them beside one another. It was tough to have two suitcases open and walk freely around room, but was not that big of a deal. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and bright. The street in front of the hotel can be noisy, but with the windows closed, it was surprisingly quiet. Bathrooms were clean and larger than expected. Big lobby, so not crowded when checking in. The hotel was close to Metro stations (and Buses) so very easy to get around. Lots of nice Boulangerie, restaurants and grocery stores within easy walking distance from hotel. The neighbourhood seems vibrant and safe. It was easy to get from the major attractions to the hotel as well, so it was not a hassle to go back in the afternoon to have a break. Our rooms had A/C so was very comfortable temperature, as Paris was very hot when we were there. We choose not to have the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. The hotel does have an elevator, but it is very small and tight, so quicker to use stairs if you can. Overall it was a great stay. If you are looking for a nice little hotel for good value, I would recommend Des Gobelins.

We had a triple room. Dirty carpets, fold out couch was so squeaky that it kept everyone awake, a/c was either freezing cold or off. Fan from a/c cycled on every minute or so and was very loud, floors were so creaky to walk on that it woke everyone up if someone went to bathroom in the night.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The carpet is extremely old, poorly maintained, and has a terrible smell. The room had a strong smell of a disinfectant product—it smelled very much like vinegar—and I had to keep the windows open just to make the air breathable. It was overpowering and awful. At first, they placed me in a room that looked nothing like the photos, located on the first floor. It was horrible, with extremely old furniture and, of course, the same horrible-smelling carpet. On top of that, everyone outside could see everything inside through the window—zero privacy. To have some privacy, I had to keep the curtains closed, which left me stuck in a dark and smelly room. When I complained, they claimed there were no other rooms available that night—even though I could see on Hotels.com that there were. They only moved me the next day to a slightly better room, but it still had the same ancient, horrible-smelling carpet. There was also a lot of noise in the bedroom, making it difficult to sleep. Most of the receptionists (except for an older gentleman with glasses and a scarf) were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Staying at this hotel ruined a significant part of my trip to Paris. I would absolutely not recommend it.

Great location, clean rooms and areas. Excellent attention

The location of this hotel is really good - literally minutes away from a metro and 20 mins walk to the Seine. The room was a good size and was clean. The only thing was that the carpet was oddly quite wet. I mentioned this to the desk who said they had this complaint a lot from other rooms as well and they were sorry. We had a room facing onto the main road and it was very noisy all night with traffic. There was also quite a bit of noise from the hotel corridor. Overall it was comfortable, especially for the price. I would return again.

I spent 5 nights with a friend at the Hotel des Gobelins. The beds were extremely comfortable and everywhere was very clean. All staff, at reception, in the breakfast room or cleaning the rooms, were extremely friendly, proud of what they were doing and very helpful. They considered themselves part of a "family", which really made a difference to our stay. There was a family atmosphere, personal touch which can't be found in many hotels! We didn't need our towels to be replaced everyday, but they were. Perhaps there could be a clearer system in place so that staff know that towels don't need replacing every day.

Our 4 person room was right, with the sofa bed extended it almost reached the wall and there is a tiny space to shuffle through to the bathroom. We backed onto the main street which was noisy with construction across the street, especially since we needed to sleep with the windows open. The staff was extremely friendly and the location is near a metro station and some beautiful walking streets in the Latin Quarter. We found breakfast just down the street, much cheaper than the €16 offered by the hotel.

We enjoyed the location, right across from Hyde Park and near restaurants and a grocery store. The breakfast buffet was quite nice. However, our room was not very comfortable. The mattress was extremely firm, and the floor tilted visibly from one side of the room to the other so that the foot of the bed was a bit higher than the head. The air conditioner was also very loud!

The hotel was really nice - although the bedroom is a bit small and has paper thin walls, it’s in a lively area, with lots of options for dining, breakfast and a mini market in a walkable distance. The metro is a few minutes walking. We stayed with a 12yo and he liked it too!

Bathroom is very small and it is very little room to walk through when the sofa bed is opened.

Really enjoyed my stay in Grand Hotel des Gobelins. Very good location - walking distance to many attractions, shops and restaurants, close to metro. My room was on the 6th floor, amazing view to Pantheon and Eiffel tower. The windows of my room were overlooking Bd St Marcel, however it was quiet, there was no noise. The room was nice and clean, good size for Paris, the bathroom was also in a very good condition. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

This is a little gem of a find this hotel. The reception staff every single day had the biggest smiles to greet you and made you feel so welcome. The rooms were so clean. We had a front facing superior room and ample big enough for 3 family members. Even though facing the road we were never disturbed by any noise. Looking out of the window daily to take in all that Paris was giving was Fantastic. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and linen. Breakfast we only had once but it was wonderful and a great selection. It’s a gem because the metro to endless places is around the corner. We went back to the airport via metro and train and even went to Disneyland Paris from the metro around the corner. Walking to all kinds of areas from the hotel. Always feeling safe. It’s a gem and we will be returning and hoping this little gem gets all the praise it so deserves

The best part about this hotel is location and the friendliest staff. The rooms were very clean which is important to me after some bad experiences at other hotels. The location is very convenient while being outside the busiest touriat areas. Recommend!

The hotel is nice, is clean and quiet. They have breakfast too, but we didn’t ate there. There is around the corner a nice place, where you can eat and drink, all day long. I recommend the hotel.

Hotel muito limpo, silencioso, aconchegante, de bairro, atendimento impecável, não reservamos com café da manhã, pois, na avenida tem vários cafés e afins. Facil acesso, viemos do Aeroporto de metrô e ônibus, todos os passeios de Paris foram de metrô e fácil acesso as linhas centrais. Bairro bucólico. Adoramos.

Værelserne er lidt små, men rene og pæne. Morgenmaden var ikke super god - der var ikke det helt store udvalg. Men, super service hele vejen rundt. Ligger i fin afstand til de fleste seværdigheder.

A feel good hotel with excellent breakfast, nice view from the fifth floor, a nice bar next door, friendly and correct staff and all of that in the center of Paris about 5 km from the Eifel towet

El hotel es bonito, el personal amable, está bien ubicado al lado de un supermercado y varias opciones de comida. Muy cerca del metro y caminando se llega al jardín botánico y la gran mezquita. Las habitaciones son pequeñas y bastante incómodas no hay percheros y se batalla para colocar las toallas y otras cosas. No recomiendo el desayuno es muy frugal y caro. La habitación cuenta con jarra calentadora de agua y frigobar lo cual es excelente el personal súper amable. Ya me he quedado ahí día veces

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad met een fantastische kamer! Het ontbijt en het personeel van het ontbijt waren heel vriendelijk en zorgen altijd dat er voldoende te eten is en dat het vers blijft.
