Hôtel Clauzel Paris

Overall the hotel isn’t bad, if you are going when the climate isn’t hot. We unfortunately went during august and there’s absolutely no air conditioning. That being said, the room felt unbearably hot and humid and we ended up losing the money and booking an airbnb instead at a different place. The staff was nice and did offer us a different room but the problem was going to be the same. In addition, the elevator there so super tiny and fits one person at a time so be aware if you’re claustrophobic or you’ll have to go up many flights of stares with luggage and everything. We unfortunately had the very top floor and the elevator only goes up to the second to last one so we had to carry all of our stuff to get to the last floor. Overall this place isn’t bad if you’re on a budget and you get what you pay for so don’t have super high expectations the view is cute too and area is nice it’s definitely our fault and should’ve done research to see if there was air conditioning which we did not do. If you’re planning to stay here during the hot summer be aware of how HOT it will be jus tryna warn people !!

The lift was down when we arrived late, so we had carry family luggage up to 5th floor and no Air conditioning.

Good location and 24h front desk were highlights. Many windy steps required to get to our room on the 6th floor and elevator only accessible to 5th floor. Be prepared to walk these steps if needing family room. Otherwise nice stay with spacious lounge on main floor and nice balcony out our window which allowed us to see Sacre Coeur in the distance :)

Newly renovated rooms and bathrooms. Charming neighborhood with wonderful restaurants. 15 minute walk to Montmarte. Easy to hail taxis. Metro not too far. Affordable. The only negatives were the very small elevator (fire 1 person at a time) and lack of air conditioning. The balcony view from the 6th floor is breathtaking.

Close to the metro station, very nice neighborhood, close to stores, restaurants. It has a very small elevator.

Very small elevator, was not a problem for me but i could see multiple trips for large groups or people with more than 1 bag. A very convenient location to ba ble to walk around assorted stores and down the street from some major landmarks and attractions. I will likely be booking here again on our next visit.

Réceptionniste on arrival very welcoming and professional. Night staff, not so much. Nice hotel in a great area but lacking AC. It could use a better elevator. Great area and a good experience overall.

We stayed for two nights. There was two of us and wanted something affordable and in a good area. Definitely would stay here again! It isn’t a place to stick around and enjoy since there isn’t any amenities, but if you are adventuring in the city and just need a place to stay I recommend. It was clean and orderly. The rooms were a bit tiny and the elevator and staircase were a little of a hazard, but again, if you are just sleeping here and wanting to save money, it is a great option.

Staff were excellent, very friendly & accommodating. The rooms were clean & a good size, with the beds being comfortable. The hotel was in a very beautiful area, with plenty of boulangeries & cafes surrounding it. My reasons for giving an overall average rating: the doors were very heavy & slammed easily causing noise from other guests at 1am, there was no fridge, air-con/fan, toiletries or tea making facilities. Whilst the last 2 isn’t too important, during high summer it would be nice to have a fridge for drinks and a fan. The bathroom sink doesn’t have a plug which is just weird to me. Whilst not the hotel’s fault - the surrounding area can be noisy from the streets so if you’re a light sleeper take this into consideration & the location is quite far from the central tourist areas - again not an issue but if you have mobility issues be aware of this. I’d also like to mention their lift is very small so if you don’t like tight spaces, the stairs is the only option so if you have claustrophobia or mobility issues also take this into consideration before booking. Overall a good stay & happy with the service.

Nous somme arrivé, il y avais des cheveux par terre vers la table de chevet. De la moisissure dans la douche. Douche bouchée donc inondé quand on prend une douche. Rideau sale. Musique à fond toute la nuit donc pas pu dormir. Porte qui se ferme mal donc faut la claquer. Horrible plus jamais nous y retournerons pas.

Gute Lage in der Stadt, viele Cafés in der Umgebung, man muss aber etwas zu Fuß gehen und es ist hügelig. Das Hotel selbst ist so lala, die Einrichtung schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, und leider ließ die Sauberkeit sehr zu wünschen übrig. Das Badezimmer hat schlecht gerochen, ein bisschen Schimmel war in der Dusche und die Klospülung war etwas klapprig. Es gab einen winzigen Fahrstuhl, aber leider keine Klimaanlage. Das Frühstück war nichts besonderes, aber für 7€ pro Person ganz okay (Achtung: nur Süßes). Würde vermutlich nicht nochmal dieses Hotel buchen.

Unfriendly front desk staff when even available. On the stair well to the floors, there were dirty q-tips, bedsheets and vaccuum cleaners left in the middle of the stairs by housekeeping. In the room, there was no toilet paper when we got to our room late at night, we went out and purchased our own. Hair all over the sink and black mold in the shower. Beds were made but sheets not changed during our 4 night stay, fresh towels were left on the dirty floor. TV did not turn on, Wi-Fi did not work. Bed was advertised as a queen, clearly a full size. Overall, the description of the hotel is very misleading and does not represent the property.

Was there for 4 days room was never cleaned. Had to ask for toilet roll twice as they didn’t give us any. The shower had mould all over the tiles and the drain stunk of a sewer. Door was paper thin with no insulation so very very noisy. Beds were comfortable enough. Staff were very unpleasant and unhelpful. Anything we asked for they were very reluctant to help. More interested in watching YouTube on the computer. Overall not a great experience and would not be back.

Room was ok but the bathroom smelled so bad like mold that we didn’t even want to shower. Great location though.

Butiker och restauranger nära, även smidigt med Metro i närheten till olika linjer. Frukosten låg standard men väldigt lite valmöjligheter. Rummet var rent men behöver uppfräschning. Luktar konstigt på toaletten. Låg standard men trevlig personal.

Le séjour n’a pas été satisfaisant car l’état général de l’hôtel est très moyen. Les escaliers ne sont pas très propres. Les rideaux de la chambre étaient tâchés, la faïence et le bas de la douche sont noirs. Le personnel a été gentil.

The shower head had mould on it.

I stayed two weeknights with my wife and daughter in late June. As noted by others, the hotel does not have air conditioning and is on a very active street. If you sleep with the windows open to let in the cool night air, the garbage collection in the early morning will wake you up. Having the room fan on high and a sound machine app blasting in your earphones will help. Or you could get up and moving early when it is still cool. The hotel was efficient, and held our luggage for us when we arrived three hours before check-in. They also quickly replied to an email I sent the day before we arrived. Very nice lobby space, a very small lift that could fit 1-2 people, and an amazing location in a lively neighborhood…we would visit again, but maybe not in the hottest part of the summer.

We had a room with a cute little balcony on the 6th floor. They have a very tiny elevator that goes to the 5th floor. Only one person and maybe a suitcase. It depends on the size of the suitcase. The beds were comfortable. The shower has that crazy half glass wall that makes it hard to not get water on the floor. The key for the room was an actual key. If you want you can leave it when you go out. There are buses close by so we were able to get around the city easily. The hotel was clean and we were very satisfied with our stay. We would stay here again.

La chambre est spacieuse et propre mais matelas qui a bien vécu et serait à changer. La salle de bain est petite mais fonctionnelle. Le personnel est sympathique. L'hôtel est un peu bruyant mais idéalement placé.

There were no fire alarms in the room. We were on the sixth floor and there was no lift access to the sixth floor. No kettle in the room. Bathroom was mouldy.

Had a mansard room with a tiny rooftop balcony over the street with a great view, beds for four, convenient shower, perfect location, good wifi. Tiny elevator going only to the floor below ours added a lot of charm and character. They accommodated our delayed late night arrival, no problems with check-in. Not a lobby or common facilities you would care to stay in or linger, so - good to sleep and get out.

Booked a family room for 2 nights.....arrived to find 3 adults were expected to sleep in a tiny room with a very steep sloping roof over the beds. When you sat up, you banged your head. They had even put smaller beds in the room to manage the space and my husband is 6'2" and his feet hung over the end of the bed. The space for 3 people was way too small.....even the shower cubicle was tiny. The saving grace were the roof top balconies....fantastic. the views were incredible.

Very basic. My room was small and only one window which looked out into the hotel yard. Good shower. Good lighting. Comfortable clean bed. Fan cooler.

La chambre était nickel et le personnel super sympa. Je recommande fortement dis faire un séjour.

The toiletries were all empty and when notified to the night staff, they didn’t show an immediate concern other than to defer it to the cleaning stuff who will come the next morning.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Les chambres rénovées . Tout le personnel était vraiment gentil et agréable (sauf une dame au petit déjeuner). literie a revoir mais dans l'ensemble nous avons été ravies du séjour. Hotel parfaitement placé dans Paris

O rapaz que ficava a noite extremamente mal educado, o nosso quarto não tinha papel higiênico e a descarga estava estragada quando fomos falar com ele, ele foi muito grosseiro e irônico, lençóis sujo e o travesseiro tinha mancha de sangue. Não recomendo.

A pretty good hotel for a Paris stay on a budget. Unfortunately one receptionist in particular was needlessly rude and other staff would interject when she insisted on demanding things in French knowing that I only spoke English. This used to be the norm in Paris but it hasn't been for some time, and this lady does her hotel a disservice.

Personnel impeccable, chambre très bien chauffée et parfaite pour mon séjour.

Lokation i det hyggelige kunstnerkvarter er fantastisk. Værelset er lille, men der er hvad der er brug for. Lille badeværelse, og desværre kloak lugt. Men lukker man døren ud til er alt ok. Ikke for gang besværet. Men meget autentisk lille hotel.

Prima hotel in leuke straat op loopafstand van Montmartre en La Fayette. Dichtbij metros.

Perfect location, really walkable neighbourhood with good transport options.

Quarto muito bom, atendeu bem, limpo, banheiro limpo, ótima localização, um pouco longe de estação de metrô, porém vários comércios próximos. Café da manhã atende bem, por 7 euros.

Close to the Metro, lots of cafes within walking distance, partial view of Sacre Couer from hotel window, clean and bright, safe.

Room was small but worked as a place to sleep. Hotel is in a great area to explore Paris.

Veldig godt, enkelt og rent hotell. Meget god valuta for pengene. Fantastisk flott strøk. Litt mye støy om morgenen med søppeltømming, men det må man vel regne med midt i Paris. Frokost kunne ha vært litt mer innholdsrik. Metro like i nærheten og gangavstand til Montmartre.

The hotel itself is fine. We had a corner room on the top floor with 2 balconies with an amazing view The area around the hotel is amazing!!! Great restaurants and shops. Metro is about 400 yards away and Sacre Coeur is walking distance

Wir waren für 1 Nacht im Hotel Clauzel für einen Städtetrip. Das Hotel hat eine gute Ausgangslage um Paris zu erkunden. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett, das Zimmer ausreichend und sauber. Hatten unser Zimmer in der 5. Etage, der Fahrstuhl dorthin sehr sehr klein. Das Frühstück war typisch französisch, süß. Die Auswahl eher Mager, uns hat es aber gereicht.

Le petit déjeuner était payant et le menu très, très limité. La nuit, impossible de dormir pour cause du bruit ; l'hôtel est très mal insonorisé

The shower was incredibly small and the water temperature would change on its' own without me touching anything. The location was perfect (close to public transports and places to dine/shop) and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast is not worth it, they charge 7 euro and serve bread/croissants with jam/butter, bad coffee from a machine, yogurt, and cereal. Not even a single fruit or anything warm. It was much better to go to the local cafe's in the area.

A experiência foi boa. Maioria dos funcionários simpáticos. Importante destacar que não tem ar condicionado nem ventilador. Tivemos sorte da temperatura em Paris estar razoável. O café da manhã é pago a parte e, na minha opinião, é bem fraquinho. Pouca opção e, quando acaba, demora para repor. A localização é boa, perto de metro, restaurantes e mercados.

Chambre tres propre. Petit bemol située pres de la cage d'escalier donc on entendais tous les aller et venus des clients. Les oreillers sont tres durs et gros donc casse le cou. Par contre très bon petit dejeuner, bien fourni. Je recommande. L'hotel est tres bien situé.

C'était sympa. Y avait plein de choses à manger.
